“We believe in Jesus” – Muslims

25 August 2009 63 Comments

As Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.” – John 11: 25-26

Momar

Engr. Momar Mundoc, a Filipino Muslim who is currently working as Cadd Operator, a Computer Engineer and an employee of one of my contractor for my project here in Luanda Angola. He also worked in Iraq for 2 consecutive years, before he came here in Luanda last May. Momar is from Sta. Cruz Davao del Sur in Philippines.

“Farm Land”.

Recently when I was in his office, napansin ko na nagpapatugtog siya ng “Praising song” sa kanyang computer gamit ang maliit na computer speaker,mahina lang but you feel the spirit, and Of course I knew those songs caused I use also to listen sometimes. Then I asked him why he is listening Christian song while he is a pure blooded Muslim.

He answered….

Then we talked. He shared to me a lot of things about Islam and how they believe in Jesus, and more importantly, the specific relationship of the life of Jesus Christ in the book of Quran. I was really amazed, I don’t even knew this before, so I asked him if he could share and give me in details of information’s about what we had discussed.

I receive that email, and then I asked from him permission if I could post this to barrio siete.

Then he replied,… Nothing to worry about, it’s also my honor to share this to all Christian people.

Here it is:

In The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Assalam Alaikum,

Allow me to share our beliefs to all my non-Muslim brothers and sisters who don’t know yet our difference, understanding and belief with regard to our Prophet Isa (Jesus Christ – pbuh). Though I think some of you know these already but this message goes to most here who don’t know totally…

To start, We (Muslims) believe, that Jesus was one of the mightiest messengers of Allah (God), that he was the Christ, that he was born miraculously without any male intervention (which many modern-day Christians do not believe today), that he gave life to the dead by Allah’s (God’s) permission and that he healed those born blind and the lepers by Allah’s (God’s) permission. In fact, no Muslim is a Muslim if he or she does not believe in Jesus (pbuh). If we stand our entire belief base on your bible, I can say that no more than a thin line is our difference regarding our faith in Allah (God) compared to other religion. Coz we (Muslim) do believe in all the things that Jesus (pbuh) did and commanded during his lifetime unlike any other religion.

We (Muslim) believe in Jesus (pbuh) in:

- A true messenger of Allah (God);
- Prophet of Allah (God);
- Miracle birth without human (male) intervention;
- He was the Messiah translated ‘Christ’ as predicted in the Bible;
- He is with Allah (God) now and most important;
- He will be coming back in the Last Days to lead the believers against the ‘Antichrist’.

We also believe in the:
- mother (Mary) of Jesus (pbuh), and considered the most righteous woman in Islam;
- Prophets mention in the bible; i.e. Prophet Abraham, Noah, Moses, David,
- Solomon and John the Baptist (pbut), etc.;
- Ten Commandments (Torah);
- Gospel (Injeel);
- Psalm (Saboor), and the Tablets of Prophet Abraham (pbuh);
- Parting the Red Sea and many others…

In honor and respect to prophet Jesus (pbuh)… God Almighty put the story of Mary in the holy Quran, which are, composes of 98 verses the “Surah Mariam” (or Chapter Mary – the 19 chapter of the Quran).

Lastly, I will end this with the command of Allah to us (Muslim). Say: “O People of the Book! (Jews and Christians) come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.” If then they turn back, say ye: “Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah’s Will). Holy Quran: 3:64

May Allah guide us all to the truth and may He open our hearts and our minds to the reality of this world and the purpose of this life. Peace to all of you and Guidance from Allah the One Almighty God, Creator and Sustainer of all that exists.

Your friend,
Momar B. Mundoc
Computer Engineer

Note;
pbuh/pbut – peace be upon him/them, Muslim usually put this words as a sign of respects to the prophet of Allah (God).
Allah – is the standard Arabic word for God.

    kung lahat sana ng muslim ay kagaya ng pananaw ni engr. mumar sa tunay na kahulugan ng islam at kristianismo, siguro mas peaceful ang mundo ngayon. kaya ako i’m more of a spiritual person rather than religious. ika nga ni mike velarde… emen? emen! pres da lord!

    mike velarde for president.. emen! hehe dyok onli!

    • Leo says:

      ..wala din yan pinag iba sa mga kristiano lang sa salita at hindi sa gawa. philippines is the largest christian nation daw in asia and yet one of the most corrupt.

    • Irej says:

There is a separation of church and the State.

      Ang hindi ko lang makuha na logic kung bakit gusto pang maging presidente ang mga church leader na ito.. but there is something for sure- MONEY AND POWER

      • reynz says:

        this reminded me of my former office mate sa makati, we call her “Juraya” and we would find out later na prinsesa pala syang tunay! anak nang litsi oo! she was the nicest friend one could ever have and i remember, dahil puro kami kristyano, every sunday naiiwan sya sa hotel because we’d all go to church.

        ang ginawa nung isa nameng kasamang babae, we’d give Juraya yong parang time off nya to pray dahil kawawa naman ung gurl.

        of course, nagkahiwa-hiwalay na kami and to this day, i kept thinking of her kung nasaan na sya. isa pang cheezmaks about her was that, napili pala sya to be one candidate for Mutya nanng Pilipinas but was not allowed daw nang parents.

        anyway, ganun lang naman yun jeri at leo, bad eggs is not an exlusivity.

  • an2nette says:

    good info, first time kong nalaman na they also believe in God, sana ang iba kagaya ni Engr. ang pananaw ng magkaroon ng world peace na mission ng La Kapitana

    • Irej says:

      An2nette,

      Muslim also believe in God and they called it Allah in Arabic words.

      And they believe also in Jesus as the true messenger of God as you can read in his letter.

      The good thing also here, na tulad ng sabi ni Momar; ” no Muslim is a Muslim if he/she does not believe in Jesus”.

    • momar mundoc says:

      u make me smile maam an2nette… your God and my God is the same God (Allah in arabic).

      In the present time, when one listens to some of the TV Evangelists, and reads the New Testament one gets completely different sides of Jesus. Those Evangelists are experts in presenting half the truth about both Jesus and Muhammad. They stress only one side in the most forceful and persuasive way. They raise the slogan “believe in Jesus.” But one should have the right to ask, which Jesus?

      •The one who said honor your father and mother, Matthew 15:4, or the one who called his mother Woman, John 2:4?
      •The one who said love your enemies, Matthew 5:44 or the one who said he did not come to give peace on earth, but rather division, Luke 12:51.
      •The one who said if some one slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him, Matthew 5:39, or the one who went to the temple and drove people out and overturned the tables, Matthew 21:12?
      •The one who said have peace with one another, Mark 9:50 or the one who said he did not come to bring peace but a sword, Matthew 10:34?
      •The one who said forgive, and you will be forgiven, Luke 6:37, or the one who said if your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you, Matthew 18:8?
      •The one who said bless them that curse you, Matthew 5:44, or the one who said he who curses father or mother, let him be put to death, Matthew 15:4?

      As a Muslim, I understand both sides, because Jesus, like Muhammad, was both merciful when mercy was required and powerful when power was required. God himself has both heavens and hellfire. Yet half the truth Evangelists never failed to present only the merciful side of Jesus, and only the powerful side of Muhammad.

      The word Christ is derived from the Hebrew and Arabic words “Messiah.” In Arabic the root word “masaha” means to rub, to massage, or to anoint. Priests and kings were anointed when being consecrated to their offices. But in its translated Greek form “Christ”, it seems unique: befitting Jesus only. The Messiah in Hebrew means anointed. The Greek word for anointed is “christos.” Just delete the “os” from christos, and change the little “c” to a capital “C” and you get Christ. So Christ means anointed, and anointed means appointed in religious connotations. Jesus was appointed (anointed) at his baptism by John the Baptist as a God’s Messenger. Every prophet of God is so appointed or anointed. The Bible is so abundant with the anointed ones. Not only were prophets, priests, and kings anointed (christos-ed) but horns, cherubs, and lamp-posts also:

      Genesis 31:13 “I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed as a pillar”
      Leviticus 4:3 “If the priests that is anointed do sin…”
      Leviticus 8:10 “And Moses…anointed the tabernacle and all things that was therein…”
      1 Samuel 2:10 “…the Lord shall… exalt the horn of his anointed….”
      Isaiah 45:1 “Thus saith the Lord to his anointed to Cyrus…”
      Ezekiel 28:14 “Thou art the anointed cherub…”

      Christians do not know that every time a Muslim speaks the name of Jesus, he must add these words of respect: peace be upon him, (Pbuh). Christians do not know that the Holy Quran has titles of three chapters related to Jesus:

      1.Surah 3: The family of Imran (of Mary). Ayat 31 to 53 describe the miracles related to Jesus’ birth and his ministry.
      2.Surah 5: The Table. Ayah 109 to 120 describes the miracles of Jesus.
      3.Surah 19: Mary, Ayah 16-40 detail the birth of Jesus, and how Mary was slandered by her people, but Jesus confronted them while he was a baby!

      thanks for now… thanks!!!

    Ang alam ko Jeri ang mga Muslim, they consider Jesus as one of the prophets pero mas mataas si Muhammad para sa kanila.

    I also respect other religions, beliefs and philosophies in life katulad ng mga atheists, agnostics, muslims, kristyano, buddhists, theosophist believers etc.

Of course, dahil nga may kanya-kanya tayong paniniwala in life, ayaw ko na pinupwersa akong maniwala sa ganitong doctrine etc. Hindi kasi ako naniniwala sa pwersahan pagdating sa beliefs, I am more on the understanding side.

Nakakatulong ito for better understanding.

    Peace yo.

    Hello to all again,

    I would like to let you know that I will always quote here using your bible simply for our reference and to clear our doubt right away…

    If we will analyze the message of prophet Jesus (pbuh) in the whole context of the bible, he always emphasis that He was only a message of Allah (God). And he (Jesus) never proclaims that he is God and asks his servant to worship him… I would be glad if someone here can show me any verse pertaining to this.

    Let’s hear Jesus his humility: Matthew chapter 19, verse 16-17.
    And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

    Only God is good he is all good. He refuses that you should even call him good, how would he ask you to call me God. This quality of goodness, I might say good pastor and in humility the pastor says: No, I am not such a good man I have a lot of shortcomings.

    If you say to some: Mr Juan dela Cruz you are a very good man. He say no no no please leave that out you know I have a lot of shortcomings. We in humility do that, but if Jesus was God this is hypocrisy. God is good. And if he is God he must say: well I accept what you are telling me, but as a man he has the right to say no what are you calling me good for you know the real goodness is in God and he is all good. So therefore we can see in his own words he is disclaiming any type of divinity that he is called God, he is disclaiming that.

    ´til next…

    This is how Allah (God) gave importance to the mother of Jesus (pbuh) Mary. There is a Chapter in the Holy Quran, named Sura Maryam “Chapter Mary” (the 19 chapter of the holy Quran) named in honor of Mary the mother of Jesus Christ (pbuh); again, such an honor is not to be found given to Mary in the Christian Bible. Out of the 66 books of the Protestants and 73 of the Roman Catholics, not one is named after Mary or her son. You will find books named after Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul and two score more obscure names, but not a single one is that of Jesus or Mary!

    If Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was the author of the Holy Quran, then he would not have failed to include in it with MARYAM, the mother of Jesus, his own mother – AMINA, his dear wife – KHADIJA, OR HIS BELOVED daughter-FATIMA. But No!No! this can never be. The Quran is not his handiwork!

    Brief points Christians should know about Muslims and Jesus (pbuh).

    Muslims love Jesus. We also love Abraham, Moses, and Noah, to name just a few other Prophets Muslims revere. May Allah´s (God’s) peace be upon all of these great messengers of Allah (God).

    Muslims also love the mother of Jesus, the Virgin Mary. We believe she was a pious and noble woman chosen over all of the women of the world.

    In Arabic Bible the name for God is Allah. Therefore all Arab Christian call God Allah as Muslim do as well.

    Jesus did not die on the cross. Rather, God saved him as his enemies were confused about him. Jesus was taken up by God to Heaven.

    Jesus is called Isa (pronounced Eesa) in Arabic.

    Jesus performed miracles by the Will of God, like healing the blind and those with leprosy, etc…

    Jesus prayed to the same God as all Prophets and we pray to.

    Jesus will return before the end of the world to lead the believers against the ‘Antichrist’.

    The entire chapter of John 17 records Jesus’ prayer to the Heavenly Father in beautiful cadence… We muslim prayed too like Jesus did…

    We as Muslim and Christian have the same God, i am sure about this. no worry…

    May God Almighty show us the straight path… ameen…

    peace to all…

        If you notice in my email letter to sir jeri, I strongly emphasize “If we stand our entire belief base on the bible…” for this reason one must not go far or just create his own definition or understanding of ones belief. we will make this as our default here…

        I stand to be corrected by our bible scholars here and let the bible speaks to itself.

        In Matthew 5:17 Jesus said: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

        Some will say that this whole discussion over the divinity of Jesus is unnecessary. They say, the important thing is to accept Jesus as your personal savior. On the contrary, the Bible’s writers stressed that, in order to be saved, it is necessary to understand who exactly is God. Failure to understand this would be to violate the first and greatest of all the commandments in the Bible. This commandment was emphasized by Jesus, on whom be peace, when a teacher of the Law of Moses asked him: “‘Of all the commandments, which is the most important?’ ‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” (Mark 12:28-30).

        Notice that Jesus was quoting the first commandment from the book of Deuteronomy 6:4-5. Jesus confirmed not only that this commandment is still valid, but also that it is the most important of all the commandments. If Jesus thought that he himself is God, why did not he say so? Instead, he stressed that God is one. The man who questioned Jesus understood this, and what the man says next makes it clear that God is not Jesus, for he said to Jesus: “‘Well said, teacher,’ the man replied. ‘You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.’” (Mark 12:32).

        Now if Jesus was God, he would have told the man so. Instead, he let the man refer to God as someone other than Jesus, and he even saw that the man had spoken wisely: “When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, ‘You are not far from the kingdom of God.’” (Mark 12:34). If Jesus knew that God is a trinity, why did not he say so? Why did not he say that God is one in three, or three in one? Instead, he declared that God is one. True imitators of Jesus will imitate him also in this declaration of God’s oneness. They will not add the word three where Jesus never said it.

        Does salvation depend on this commandment? Yes, says the Bible! Jesus made this clear when another man approached Jesus to learn from him (see Mark 10:17-29). The man fell on his knees and said to Jesus: “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus replied: “Why do you call me good? No one is good — except God alone.” (Mark 10:17-18).

        By so saying, Jesus made a clear distinction between himself and God. Then he proceeded with the answer to the man’s question about how to get salvation. Jesus told him: “If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17, also see Mark 10:19).
        Remember that the most important of all the commandments, according to Jesus, is to know God as the only God. Jesus further emphasized this in the Gospel According to John. In John 17:1, Jesus lifted his eyes to heaven and prayed, addressing God as Father. Then in verse three, he said to God as follows: “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3).

        This proves beyond doubt that if people want to get eternal life they must know that the One, whom Jesus was praying to, is the only true God, and they must know that Jesus was sent by the true God. Some say that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. But Jesus said that the Father alone is the only true God. True followers of Jesus will follow him in this too. Jesus had said that his true followers are those who hold to his teachings. He said: “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.” (John 8:31). His teaching is that people must continue to keep the commandments, especially the first commandment which emphasizes that God is alone, and that God should be loved with all our hearts and all our strengths.

        We love Jesus, but we must not love him as God. Today many love Jesus more than they love God. This is because they see God as a vengeful person who wanted to exact a penalty from them, and they see Jesus as the savior who rescued them from the wrath of God. Yet God is our only savior. According to Isaiah 43:11, God said: “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.” Also God said according to Isaiah 45:21-22: “Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”

        The Quran confirms the first commandment and addresses it to all humankind (see the Holy Quran 2:163). And God declares that true believers love Him more than anyone else or anything else (Quran 2:165).

        Again, If we stand our entire belief base on the bible, I can say that no more than a thin line is our difference regarding our faith in Allah (God). Thanks brother nash for your comment…

      nash, while it is free to argue here and anywhere for that matter, one should be able to restrain themselves especially when it comes to issues of religion. mahirap maging emotional sa ganitong issue, remember that in the name of religion, wars were waged, at the expenses of human lives.

      we all believe in something, maybe on nothing. but calling somebody walang isip i think is below the belt.

        GOOD CATCH buraotness with NASH! I missed that one! Thank you!

        Agree.

        While we in Barrio Siete try to accommodate as much as we could everybody, however, understand that WE ALL DON’T AGREE on EVERYTHING and so we must find a way to agree to disagree and not go into unnecessary fights like this especially when it comes to religion because not only is this uber-sensitive, but alos history would tell us that there really are no winners in any religious war let along nasty religious discussion. Might as well leave it all to religious scholars.

        To our muslim brothers, if you’re new into blogging, this is what it is on the internet, you might have to get used to it and thank you for sharing your thoughts on our religion.

        Welcome to Barrio Siete.

        thanks buraot, but sometimes we need to level ourselves to those people with little knowledge for we have the enough awareness when dealing with this kind of understanding. surely, the truth will eventually wins over the deceit.

Momar ay malayo sa katotohanan, because i know him personally how good is he, dahil kasama ko siya sa trabaho araw araw. mabait,matalino, magalang, and most of all he is very professional in dealing with people.. at yan ang hinahangaan ko sa taong ito, simula pa nung nag start siyang nag work sa project ko.

        I think you had also notice that your comment is very offensive, but try to analyze his reply to you even his explanation with other comments, he express it precisely in a professional way, right?

        Here in barrio siete, we are all free to express our thought, but as much as possible, MAGPAKATAO NAMAN TAYO.

    It was inspiring and impressive. I never thought in my whole life na meron din palang mga Muslim na naniniwala kay Jesus Christ. Although He was not the center but He is part of thier belief.. buti na lang may isang Engr.

  • Aizamae,

    It is really very inspiring, yes you are right. coz even me i don’t have any idea about their belief.. Momar.

    Dati,Iba kasi ang nakita at pagkakilala sa mga kapatid nating muslim.( i think you know what i mean).. but for this blog entry, my mind was enlighten due to this explanation of Engr. Momar, which inspire me so much.

    • Idol Buraot,

      You are right,as Engr. Momar said “We believe mother(Mary)of Jesus and considered the most righteous woman in Islam”.

      and agree din ako na jewish and the muslims are sons of abraham, ipinangaral din ni Hesus ayon sa biblia si father abraham. Samakatuwid, ay iisa ang pinangglingan ng Ugat.

      About brother mike, ayaw ko muna mag comment, baka mabato tayo dito. he he he

      don’t we realize that both of these religions (Christian and Islam) born in the same area and don’t we realize the prophet Isa (Jesus–pbuh) and prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is related by blood? don’t we realize that in the past, both our religion have a good relationship?

      prophet Mohammad (pbuh) even have a lot of Christian friends… and i think none of our religions teaches bad things to us, but it’s the people (us) who do not obey and understand the rules of our religion and doing something bad. i am sharing this (islamic views) to you as part of our learning course what is the things that we don’t know yet, perhaps.

    Thanks for sharing this article with us Bro Momar.It teaches to both Muslims and Christians,that Jesus Christ is as important than
    we think.Both Muslims and Christians believe in God.Except for the fact,that Muslims refer God as ‘Allah’ in Arabic.
    But sadly,because of some misunderstandings between these two religions,riots are happening in some parts of the world.
    For what you had wrote,maybe Christians would also know that Muslims also respect Jesus Christ as for what Muslims beliefs
    in Jesus Christ in being a ‘True messenger of Allah’,'Prophet of Allah’and ‘He is with Allah (God) now and most important’ etc.
    What I also hope and believe is that there would be a day when riots involving religion issues would stop.
    Peace to all and God Bless.

    Peace be to all. Actually the personality of Jesus Christ mostly comfuses some others. Well lets put in a pepspective way & quote from some verses in the bible.

    The question is that who is Jesus Christ ? – Isah (PBUH ) is no more than a Prophet He is a Muslim believed in the Oneness of the Almighty Allah. The 2 billion Muslim in the world following the teachings of Isah ( Jesus ), you cannot be a Muslim otherwise you have to love, respect him as we do with other Prophets, Abraham, Issac, Ismael, David, Moses , Muhammad & others prophets of God.

    The Muslim in general following the teaching of Isah ( Jesus ) peace be upon him. The question is that > some other faiths following his (Isha ) teachings, in what way/s ? Remember 98 % of the population of Palestine are muslims where Isah (Jesus was born ), they knew better than any people of the world regarding the personalities of Isah ( peace be upon him ).

    LETS THE BIBLE SPEAK:

    Jesus is not more than a Prophet & never claim himself as God, he was sent only by God the Almighty to the lost sheep of Israel :

    The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him. ( Acts 3:13 ) Read also Acts 3:26 /Acts: 4:30

    My teachings is not mine ( Jesus ), but his who sent me; if anyman`s will, he shall know whether the teaching is from God or…. ( John :7-14-18 ) Read also Mathew 10-40-41 ), Mathew 21:11

    “And the crowds said, This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galille. (Mathew 21:11 ) `

    And he said to them, What things ? And they said to him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who as a PROPHET MIGHTY in deed and word before God and all the people. Luke 24: 19

    And…And Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good ? No one is good but God alone. ( Mark 10:17-18 )

    All Prophets was sent to the respective communities. In case of Isah ( Esua ) Peace be upon him, he was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. “And Isah ( Jesus ) went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. And behold… a woman from the region came & cried, Have mercy on me, O lord, Son of David, my daughter is severely possed by demon. But he did not answer her a word. And his deciples came and begged him saying, send her away, for she is crying after us. He (Jesus ) answered, I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. (Mathew 15:21-24 )read also Mathew 10:5-7, Mathew 19:28, John 17-9

    SON OF GOD

    What the Bible says regarding this . Some references are the following: ` And when the centurion,who stood facing him, saw that he thus breathed his last , he said, truly this man was the Son of God. ( Mark 15: 39 )

    According to the Bible term in the Old & New Testaments, every God-fearing person is called ~ Son of God ~ . Mathew 5:9 > Blessed are the peace-makers, for they shall be called the children of God.

    The FIRST OF ALL THE COMMANDMENT :

    `… Which is the first commandments of all ? And Jesus answered him: The first of all the commandments is hear O Israel, the Lord thy God is One Lord: and thou shalt love the Lord, Thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. ( Mark 12:28-30 )

    IN ANY VERSES of the Gospels ( Bibles ) Isah ( Jesus ) never claim that he is God. Kindly understand clearly what the Bible says, different versions of the Bibles, the 66 books of Christian Protestants , The 72 books of some Catholic sect. Above all see & research the originality of the Bible. Jesus spoke in Hebrew language which is the sister language of Arabic. Why the Gospel written in Greek, instead of Hebrew ? For your information the text of the Bible written in Hebrew still exist in Alexendia, Egypt.

    FINALLY let us consider Jesus last words when he was about to ascend to heaven as related in the Gospel of John:“ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. “( John 20:17 )

    Allah ( The Almighty ) says in the Holy Quran:
    “ VERILY THOSE WHO BELIEVE, AND THE JEWS AND THE CHRISTAINS AND THE SABEANS WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ALLAH AND THE LAST DAY AND DOING GOOD DEEDS THEIR REWARD IS WITH THEIR LORD, NEITHER SHALL THEY GRIEVE“
    Glorious Quran 2:62

    Peace to all!

    I found this link in one of the ASP sites. Truly, this is very interesting topicspecially when it comes to Islam and Christianity, the faith which is shared by of most Filipino respectively. Others may find it crucial in sharing or talking about the differences of these two, but one has to understand and take into account the common things or belief within these two. As always been misinterpreted by others that specially by those dependent on the media would rather Muslim as terror. Anyway..it is true a muslim is not pure muslim he disregards Jesus (pbuh) as one of the mightiest prophets of Allah. It is always a misconception by others (non-muslim) the word Allah. Allah ( the only one and true God) lord of the worlds. Human knowledge is limited to describe the Almight God, but one has to convey the true belief the Islamic monotheism.

    Islam is heavenly system for all the dwellers of the earth, and it is a mighty treasure if only mankind realizes it authenticity and truth. And in what a great need the whole world is today for real understanding and thorough studying of its rules and regulations. And how many disasters and wars, the mankind of the whole world is suffering because of their diffences in their Faith. (Abdul Malik Mujahid, Darussalam Publisher).

    Below are some of the translated verses of the holy qur’an.

    ” And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never by accepted of Him, and in the hereafter he will be one of the losers.” qur’an: 3:85

    Indeed, Jesus (pbuh) invited people of Israel to pray to one God (Allah) as stated in the Qur’an,

    ” Truly, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the Straight Path. Qur’an 3:51

    But the people who claim to be the followers of Jesus Christ clearly invited people to worship Jesus (pbuh) in which jesus had never claimed to be God Himself.

    Let there be light and guidance upon us.

    Thank You,

    Nasir Jala

      Greetings to all !
      Its a very interesting topic. Thanks to the one who posted this.
      But let me clarify,that we cannot save by any faiths, except thru our acts the bad & the good. Most relogions teaches good deeds.
      The truth about Jesus I believed most of us as Christians have wrong perception ( understanding ) that Jesus is God. For this I personally not agreed or believed. Why ! I am some the bible and i didnot find any single verse that Jesus claim that he`s God instaed he instructed us to obey and belived in God.

      But of course we have to follow Jesus.` As he said Am the way and the light and no one can go to the father except thru me.

      Thanks

    It is not my intention to hurt anyone of this site, my atomless pride apology to everybody..

    I think I need to rephrase my words,

    it is true a muslim is not pure muslim he if disregards Jesus (pbuh) as one of the mightiest prophets of Allah.

    it is expected, others react negatively or you may find it interesting. They say reality truly bites.

    thanks..

    Its nice to hear that Islam also believe in Jesus Christ. We all believe in God in our own way… Let us respect each other whether Christian or Islam. Just be open minded….

    thanks…

    • nadzmi says:

      Salam ( peace ) be with you,
      Weng, as you know we always respect all other faiths, for we all came from one Creator the Almighty Allah ( God ).Islam teaches us to love, respect & be kind to all human being. The last prophet Mohammad (PBUH), even teaches the Believers ( Muslims ) to be kind to all regardless of the faiths.
      Again we fully follows the teaching of Jesus. As you know you cannot be a believer ( Muslim ) if you will not follow Jesus teaching.
      Anyway the truth will set us free

      Thanks Weng & have a Blessing day & always
