Our Alexa ranking mga kabarrio continues to streak like insane. Imagine where we were 4 months ago. Anlayo namen sa mundo nang mga blogista sa Manila. Eto ang rank namen when we opened our internet doors last May 17, 2009. We were nobody and if you know the story, kinutya kutya kame nang mga tiga-kaVilang Varrio:
Four months later – yeap! Just 4 months! Eto na kami and here’s our latest sweetness numbers!
Truth of the matter mga kabarrio is that: if the election is gonna be held today, Barrio Siete dot com will be the runaway winner. I mean, purihin nyo naman ang aming performance kundi block kayo sa Barrio! Hehehe! That’s why the combined False Asia and Social Climbing Weder Weder polls will not dare rate us dahil wawasakin nang Barrio Siete ang statistical formula machinery nila! Hehehe!
Growing pains!
We care for ya’all, Barrio Siete readers and lurkers! O di ba? Sounding presidential na ba kami or what?! The past several weeks kasi, the surge in traffic in Barrio Siete costed us some serious loading sa Pier 7 that our former web host told us to move to Forbes Park! Charing hahaha! Sabi nila, seryosohin na daw namen ang hosting namen, instead of being a squatter dahil hindi na biro ang traffic namen. If you noticed, you could now freely navigate the pages in the Barrio with no loading problem. We’ve moved Barrio Siete to another hosting company to resolve the problem. This guy: Mr. Social Media Philippines did some terrific job moving everything in the house to make your navigation easy.
Let’s go first with statistics
- Barrio Siete enjoys an average of 800 – 1,200 visits per day, with an average of about 48k hits everyday, in all of our 4 months in existence.
- Our visitors are from different countries mainly in the US, UK, Middle East and South East Asia. Many of them are OFW and overseas Filipinos. At the present, they account for an average of 85% to 90% of our readers. Sight nyo naman, buong US Capitol binabasa kami.
- The target audience of Barrio Siete is the largest group we have in the Philippines – the socio-economic group.
- Barrio Siete has already been exposed in the Philippine mainstream media.
- Our statistics will not stop there. We’re just 4 months old. Wait until we reach our first birthday. Baka talunin namin ang CNN pati na yong 8.5 million blogger! hehehe!
No high-flying english
Whether you’re an experienced blogger or a newbie, we all need exposure and I know I’m sounding one lousy infomercial here, hindi naman ako kandidato sa 2010 Presidential Elections, but in Barrio Siete, you can showcase your talent by tailoring posts for Barrio Siete readers. No high-flying english, kundi babatuhin ka namen. The more value you give, the more they will visit your own blog. Ganun lang yon and if I borrow someone else’s line – it’s that simple really hehehe! We broke the “supposedly correct rules of blogging” at pinatunayan namen na hindi kelangan ang english only sa blogging. At kahit na balikwa pa ang english mo, you will be successful depende sa content, style at sa pagiging madaling maintindihan nang mga magbabasa nang blog mo.

Alam nyo mga kabarrio, in the social web, we writers don’t determine the success of our blogs, the community does. Kiver kung naubos ang 26 alphabet na nakahilera sa last name mo. Kiver kung summa cum lugaw ka nang Hagard University. What matters is if you can give value to your readers. Sila ang judge. Hindi ang chembloggers.
