Nawawalang Kalabaw Section: Assistance on Computer Networking Technology
Inang Kapitana: Good Evening! Can you pleezz post this problem I’m having sa Barrio Siete? Baka naman meron me alam para ma-solve tong konting buhol sa computer ko?

Balita ko, Barrio Siete has the most technology-oriented resources. I googled a lot on this prob but I can’t seem to find the right answer. Baka naman matulungan nyo ako!
Here’s the case: I have 64 bit operating system which is Vista Ultimate (upgraded recently). I have no problem connecting to other computer via wireless lan (all 32 bit vista home premium), but when they try to access my shared folder, my computer hangs! Gina-check ko na lahat ng settings, binutinting ko na rin yung windows defender, ay ambot, di ko talaga makuha! Nasa folder ko pa naman lahat ng updated architectural drawings.
Mga manong at mga manang, anya ti prublema ngarud? Kapuy na ko kaka-search, waay pa gihapun ma sulb ti prublema!

Hindi ako tech person pero eto lang ang sa tingin ko:
1. may malware ka
2. baka nadale ka ng conficker
3. baka di match si 64 bit Vista Ultimate at 32 bit Vista Home Premium
4. tweak mo ang lan settings
Overall, maarte ang vista talaga. dyan ako asar sa kanya.
Teka roni, anong antivirus mo?
@silver: baka nga silver tama ka sa number 3. kasi ang vista ang daming limit at compatible issues.. e sir roni gamit ko din kasi yan. kahit nga ang CADD2004 ko mabagal kasi vista gamit ko.
hindi ko lang sure ha, kasi naka pag network ako ng Vista 64-bit and OSX before, gumagana naman.
Hindi ko lang matest ngayon kasi wala na akong machine na naka Vista
sobrang bumilis nung nag 64 bit ako, pati latest autocad tsaka 3d max, kayang kaya nya, with 8 gig of ram, nagagamit lahat ng 64 bit, sa 32, hirap talaga pc sa mga graphics programs.
i-try ko complete scan, then see what happens
I’m using avast for years now and I have no problem with it.
Run nya ulit Windows Network Setup, then check if same Workgroup/Domain.
AFAIK, hindi dapat maghahang ang Vista mo whether 32 or 64 bit. Re-scan mo cmputer mo for virus and spywares.
Use Avira and Ad-Aware
Advice mo kami kung napagana mo na or hindi pa din.

try nyo po kaya, sa explorer(start, computer) and then sa address bar po, pakitry nyo itype yun \\[IP Address(ex. 192.168.1.1)]\[name of shared folder],
possible po na may virus yung shared folder, and pag double click nyo, possible na nagtry magrun ang virus, na
1. hinarang ng security kaya naghang
2. successfully, nagrun ang virus,
3. 32 bit ang virus kaya di marun sa 64(wild guess po ito)
somebody should scan din po yung computer kung nasan ang shared folder.
your possibility makes sense.
pahabol, usual po nga po pala na naghang ang vista sa pag access ng shared folders using double click, sa kadahilanang di pa malaman, pagkat ayaw pa aminin ni Mang Bill na marami pag pagkakamali sa vista…

Roni, switch na sa Mac! Hehe. Peace.
Did Roni check his PC (or notebook)’s website for possible system or BIOS updates? Anong brand/model ng PC nya. Minsan kase, or kadalasan, sa mga notebooks na na-assembly before the release of Vista e hindi configured for Vista OS. Kung originally XP and OS ng PC nya, malamang sa hindi e kailangan mag-upgrade ng BIOS or other driver.
Maganda nyan e punta sya sa website ng manufacturer ng PC nya to check for upgrades. Update nya lahat ng bago dun and if walang maka-solve sa problema, tawag sya sa customer service hotline.

Nahanap na po ang nawawalang kalabaw. Naka-amoy pala ng nagdadalagang kalabaw, ayun NANGANDI at dumayo ng kabilang ibayo.
Matapos ma-apdate yung built-in wireless lan driver from the manufacturer’s website eh gumana na sya, from 64 to 32 bit and vise-versa,flawless na ang networking, ansaya-saya!
Salamat ke kotsengkuba, nakita nya yung kalabaw.
Sa lahat ng tumulong maghanap, Siver, Dencios, Jepoy, Rob Angeles, at Alex, magpapa-kanton ako sa pansitan sa terminal ng Barrio Siete.
