How are you doing President Noynoy?
Well, my name is Reyna Elena. I was your number one supporter during the election, attacked by an unbelievable online hatred during the campaign because of my support for your presidency. Aherrm!
Oh, by the way, I thought I’d share this with you.
Here is my Elementary School in Castilla, Sorsogon. This picture was taken last week by my friend from Amsterdam. It’s one Uragon building. One unbelievable technology. The best. Western standards will drool at how mini, major and super-typhoons blasted that building away …

“By the authority of the President:”
Malacañang on Friday fired Deputy Ombudsman Emilio Gonzalez III implicated in last year’s Rizal Park hostage-taking fiasco—and immediately met open defiance from the Office of the Ombudsman. The Incident and Investigation Review Committee (IIRC) that initially looked into the hostage incident found Gonzalez to have “committed serious and inexcusable negligence and gross violation of their own rules of procedure by allowing Mendoza’s motion for reconsideration to languish for nine months without any justification.”
The Palace also found “substantial evidence” to support the allegation that Gonzalez, deputy …

“Pwedeng mag-padala?” It’s sort of like this. A Filipino tradition which is now used by drug syndicates. How do you fight this? Simple common sense. Better, refuse any type of “padala” even from anybody. If you choose to bring it with you, inspect the “padala” especially, the “maleta”. This is not just for OFW’s. This is also for all of you–Overseas Filipinos. Sabi nga: “If it’s too good to be true? Hindi yan totoo.”
It’s sad that three OFW’s will be executed in China. I was reading the news about it …

I fully understand the insufficient energy supply in our country to power our growing economy, more so that electricity demand is much higher that it was several decades ago. You only need to live in the province to experience low voltage and frequent brownouts. The explosion at the nuclear plant in Japan’s Fukushima prefecture should pretty much tell us about the risk of a nuclear catastrophe in exchange for energy.

This news is nothing new really. It is an open secret that Customs is home to big, wide, large and humongous crocodiles. The news is about a Customs Operations Officer by the name of Manuelo Algerre who alledgedly lied about his net worth for the past 25 years.
Imagine. 25 years and no one noticed.
It gets interesting.
The DOF Revenue Integrity Protection Service (DOF-RIPS) wants Algerre to be charged with perjury and falsification of public documents for excluding questionable properties from his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth, or SALN.
The …

The Philippines and the rest of the world are commemorating today, November 23, 2010, the first year after 57 persons were killed in the town of Ampatuan, province of Maguindanao in the most brutal manner one can imagine.

Ay caramba! Miriam Santiago is losing it again for the nth time to the nth power!
It must be the weather. You see, it’s Fall in the United States and I know a lot of people are getting depressed. But you see, it’s not Fall in the Philippines, rather, Miriam’s mind is falling apart. Why do they allow this Senator to simply ran amuck with her bloody attitude and it’s not even for the country’s sake! It’s all personal to her! Jezz!!!
For one thing, what does she care about Shalani? So, …

Then, more good news: The Department of Tourism is bringing nationalism to a whole new level! Using Filipino! And providing a translation and pronunciation guide!
And even more good news: The domain name is going to make every lonely heart (or dirty mind) crawl out of the woodwork and make a beeline for the first plane headed for the land of beautifulpilipinas.com!

And that’s the fire raging right now betwee BSA3 supporters and the mother shit err ship. In a recent study by the International Finance Corporation, the Philippines ranks 148th among the 183 nations in terms of ease of doing business. Now, let’s translate the numbers in some meaningful shit that could be understood by everybody.
A rank of 148 in a total of 183 nations means: The Philippines beat 35 nations. Nice! Right?

In fact, would it be fair to say that Noynoy Aquino is surrounded by some really ugly Filipinos and it’s not that Vietnam don’t have good-looking men?
Agree? Who would like to start a list? Anyone? Anyone?

And so I read that it is all-systems go this coming Monday for village-level elections. The entire country will vote for a total of 42,025 barangay chairmen (and as many youth council chairmen) and 294,175 barangay kagawads, or councilors (and as many youth councilors).

I don’t really know if I have to thank the Philippine Supreme Court, spit on them or burn candles. But right now, they have just told me that we Filipinos are now free to plagiarize, copy every dots, symbols, words and thoughts of just about any author in the world without fear of being charged in court, unless the accuser can prove “malicious intent”.
Our Supreme Court, it’s now a Supreme Joke with all its midnight amputees by Gloria Arroyo, look how they make decisions.

Buried under tons of rocks and rubbles
Two thousand feet down in the bowels of the earth
Brave men of the number 33
Valiantly tried to seek light in the darkness.
The blackness closing in
The dust and sweltering heat suffocating.
Seventeen days had passed
And nobody knew which hole
They had dropped to and vanished.
Until that one fateful day
Their cries echoing, reached the ears of people
Who were seeking them, trying to know
If they were dead, ripe for salvaging
Or alive and worth saving.
In a race against time
Men once again proved that
Deep within each one …

Let me tell you, soy muy orgulloso ser Chileno! Yes, I am so proud to be Chilean and I am not even one.
It was an unbelievable reality TV show, matched by the Olympics and President Obama’s inauguration speech. Aren’t you just amazed by the technology used in the rescue? What’s more amazing was how Chile maximized technology that allowed us to see it live! I know, we all marveled at the most watched event beamed live from Chile. It sure was ten-fold better than the Olympics and the moon-landing combined.

Life in the Inner Sanctum
Prologue: : Finding My Way Home
Fondness is the perfect place to begin this tale, for I will forever remember my passage into the inner sanctum with fondness – the one that comes with gratitude. It was the great Delia Tetrault, Foundress of the Missionaries of the Immaculate Conception who inspired me to embrace every moment with “joy in thanksgiving.” If I sounded “madrefic”, pardon the tone, but a decade inside convents can do that to you.
With wistful fondness I carved some names …

To have an appreciation as to why Atty. Trixie Angeles is currently on top of the world, we have to go back in time.
In the early hours of February 26, 2006, several cause-oriented groups began massing in various places in Metro Manila. Composed of different political persuasions, these groups were united in two things: a strong belief that Gloria Arroyo stole the 2004 elections and a desire to back-up officers who were allegedly going to withdraw support from the Commander-in-Thief.
Yes, The Thief. Gloria.
Malacanang reacted quickly and sent loyal forces to …

We are so pre-occupied about Noynoy Aquino, what he did, what he didn’t do and what he won’t do, that no one is talking about the coming barangay elections. Well, here’s a very timely article by Bing blogging at Warmstone that I would like to share to you all.
