Many of us were OUTRAGED when we learned na ang drama pala talaga ni Gloria, tatakbo rin pala. And it is already a given that she will win Pampanga pretty easily and her return to Congress will just be that easy.
But really, the goal here is to push for Charter change (Cha-cha)—and possibly bring about a shift to a parliamentary government, where she could bag the post of prime minister.
One blogger has an answer.
If you do not want to see GMA as your next Prime Minister, …

A military’s job is to remain quiet?
I’ve been glued on TV 24 horas, listening and watching the latest on the Maguindanao massacre. It’s unbelievable how they planned this bloody carnage. It is also puke-wrenching listening to those two military personnel who were at the checkpoint who claimed that they have no clue and/or is not a part and/or they were a victim too and that given that they were afraid of their life, they chose to be quiet. Yong dalwa have not made their statements daw. Pero, un momento senor! …

Barrio Siete Collective Blog was conceived with a common goal of responsible freedom of expression, radical tracing of one’s provincial roots and the upholding of democracy via the written form of communication despite of various differences and diversity among its members.
One proof of this is the fact that Barrio Siete writers consist of members with different faiths (including Islam), with different financial and legal status, with different political views, with different ideologies, …

Statement by Inday Espina-Varona, former chair of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines
The abduction and murder of around 45 persons, including around a dozen journalists, in Ampatuan town, Maguindanao is a spear thrust in the heart of our fragile democracy.
Let us grieve not just for our media colleagues — though theirs is an especially tragic fate, to die in the line of duty, serving a profession that more often than not deprives provincial practitioners of a living wage and social benefits.
Let us grieve, too, for the other dead: …

No one could have predicted the ruthlessness that met them. At least 36 people, mostly identified with Buluan, Maguindanao vice mayor Datu Ismail “Toto” Mangudadatu and including a dozen media people, were abducted and later killed on Monday by gunmen allegedly led by members of the Ampatuan political clan. Toto’s wife, Genalyn Tiamzon-Mangudadatu, was among those killed, according to Toto …

There is this big chika going viral about Noynoy’s absence on the 2nd round of the Isang Tanong Presidential Forum, which I believed started in MoTwister’s blog. The anti-Noynoy camp are feasting on a flurry of negative explanation. Here’s what Motwister wrote on his blog:

With 6 months to go, as the campaign becomes more issues-oriented – under the worst case scenario (decrease of 16% every 2 months) –

In its motion for reconsideration filed with the Comelec Wednesday, the group said that there are no evidence on record that establish their alleged immorality. “Just as the judicial entity may not suffer moral damages apart from its incorporator, director, officer or any one member, Ladlad may not be deemed to be immoral on account simply of the unsubstantiated belief that its members are engaged in any such immoral practice,” the motion read. It was an ambush interview and therefore the question – “Why are you still a bachelor?” – understandably caught him by surprise.
The Philippines has had only one wifeless president – Elpidio Quirino – but he was a widower grieving over his wife Alicia and three of his five children who were murdered by Japanese soldiers during the Battle of Manila in the Second World War.

Yeap. Senator Benigno Aquino III is autistic. Raissa Robles, mon FB ami, offers some “proof”.
The evidence that Sen. Noynoy is abnormal – and therefore should not be voted president – seemed all there.
