Looks like being ‘quiet’ is hard for Miss Kris Aquino! After declaring her decision to be inactive on social networking sites, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino surprised her followers by tweeting anew on Aug. 8.
“I’m back! Y? Because we live in a democracy & I’m allowed to use my voice. I promise to be prudent & not be motivated by anger or hate. Will try to be kind & mature. I’m SO BACK. Love love love!!!” her first “comeback” tweet read that night.
As before, Kris updated her Twitter followers …

President Noynoy Aquino’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) may be the most awaited moment of the Filipino people last July 26. But for the fashion aficionados out there, PNoy’s revelations in his SONA only comes a close second as the fashion statement is the topmost priority around the Philippines. Remember!? ~LOL~
Anyway, below are the celebrities and politicians who gained a lot of attention due to their flair of fashion at PNoy’s first ever SONA. Photos courtesy …

That’s right! Buy me a beer at the WordCamp Raleigh 2010 in North Carolina because Barrio Siete is a proud sponsor of the WordCamp Raleigh 2010.
I was just sent an invitation to attend the WordCamp in San Francisco, California. I received the invite today, just now well, kanina.
Unfortunately, the said WordCamp is scheduled on May 1. Bummer!!! I could have visited my brother in San Francisco at the same time! And of course, I could have made some charity work in De Castro hahaha!!! I’d like to teach a few …

Hello mga friendship!
Kamusta na kayo? How’s your vacation? Hahaha!

BLOG is defined as “usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries” . wikipedia
People have different reasons why they blog for the same reason that people have different realities. But I am not interested about other reasons why they BLOG. I will speak for myself and I suppose some if not majority of trying-hard bloggers share the same reasons with …

Hello, hello! Guess who’s back to join the circus?

First of all, I’d like to apologize for not making sulat any contribution last month. You see, I just got back from the ‘happy place’ after suffering a massive breakdown due to my involvement in that infamous golf player scandal. Yes, yours truly was also a kasalo, and I was slut #19. (insert Krista Ranillo laugh here). Anyway, I’m okay now and Yaya Indira (a.k.a. slut #20) is doing great too.
Today is the official start of the circus commonly known to us …

There is a saying that goes, “Money can’t buy happiness”.
I so totally disagree with that saying because I believe otherwise. Happiness for me is so oftentimes defined and satisfied by material things (oo material girl kasi ako, hahaha).
Casey Johnson, American socialite and actress, heiress to the Johnson & Johnson empire, was found dead in her West Hollywood home’s bedroom last January 4. The cause of death is yet to be determined pending coroner’s and toxicology report, however authorities reported “no evidence of foul play”. (Wikipedia)
Despite being an heiress, hindi …

Hello frenemies! How art thou? It’s been a very busy time for me this past few weeks attending parties and events (read: early campaigning) so please forgive me if I haven’t been in touch with you barriotics for quite a while.
Anyway, the year is about to end with a bang, literally, because of the impending Mount Mayon eruption but let’s just wish and pray that it’ll be a mild one and not catastrophic.
You know, the year 2009 has been very good for me because I’ve learned a lot especially in …

Hello mga friendship! Kamusta na kayo? Well, if you ask me, okay lang ako at in-love. Charoooot!
Because of the good feedback we received from our first response to some of our Barrio Siete letter senders seeking for advice, we are once again opening our mailbox para matugunan ang iilang problema ng ating mga ka-barrio na nangangailangan ng payo.
This time, hindi lang si Ate Charing ang magbibigay ng payo, we have a guest ‘counselor’ to help us in solving these mind-boggling dilemmas. It’s none other than our resident critic/diva/mental patient extraordinaire …

Here in Barrio Siete, we come across different kinds of readers from all walks of life. Contributing articles through email is one aspect where readers can share their stories about their respective lives or experiences.

Drastic change?
Chuva: ~kablag!~

Dalwa sila.

“I just think I’m an ordinary fighter,” Pacquiao said. “When I fight a good fighter, sometimes I can beat him. “  And as many fighters like to proclaim themselves as the best, Manny continues to give props to the business, his opponents, his trainers, his family, his country, God, and his fans.
He is hailed as the pound-for-pound king  of our generation and is argued to be better than the all-time greats like Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray, and Marvin Hagler.  “It is not for me to say where I am in the history …

I read a lot of blogs. Some of them are from online celebrities and some are from my local tribe. And recently, there are around 16 blogs that don’t get updated anymore. Since I’m a curious reader, I try asking the authors on why they’re not writing anymore.
Many of these where full of energy and enthusiasm when they started but as months pass by, the energy level went down. They are very similar to a tornado. Started strong and suddenly disappears.

Ngayong ako ay nasa maselang bahagi ng aking pregnancy, the doctor has advised me to take much-needed bed rest. For an active person like me, this sounds like punishment. Lumipas na ang Day 2 ng aking two week or so na pagpapahinga. Sino ang mag-aakala that I would survive the extreme boredom of being at home?  No, Virginia, don’t blame it on television. Blame it on Facebook.

Mr. Nonsense can often be seen in the Tacoma-Seattle area carrying a camcorder, accompanied by his two sons and his personal chauffeur, his wife. He uses his Tondo upbringing to nurture his children and to survive in a mental institution—>where he currently works.
He enjoys basketball, cooking, singing, cartooning, producing short movies, and making his own furniture out of junked wood… because he’s so cheap. He is a self-proclaimed “Man of the House,”…when his wife is not home.

When the recession started in the United States, may businesses knew that good days are about to stop for awhile. Many lost their jobs, small businesses closed and corporate gorillas started a series of layoffs which disturbed the flow of credit. It also affected how people spend , even companies who are spending in advertisement.
