Dear NPC member,
I think that you may have already heard by now that I am running for president of National Press Club and the election is set for May 2, 2010.
As a leader in your present and past beats, I am coming to you for help for the organization we both love to call NPC.
Regardless of whether you have committed to other candidates, may I respectfully ask you to consider my request for help for me to win this election in order for me to be able to institute my …

Sadly, I am one with our opponents sa kabilang barrio lamenting the moronization of Filipinos on Wowowee. That’s right. Willie Revillame’s show. According to our comrades sa kabilang barrio:

“One of the shows that contributes to the moronization of The Filipinos is Wowowee. It is a game show wherein poor contestants play silly games or make themselves look ridiculous in order to win cash prizes. The more pathetic your situation is, the more money the host Willie Revillame will …

There’s trouble in paradise.
According to our FBI friends (federasyon ng mga baklang imbestigador), one blog kingdom wanted to use Barrio Siete as their wargrounds. Tse! This will probably explain why they pulled Mo Twister to have a hair fight with Reyna Elena.
I also found out that those Reyna hate paedophile entries were paid entries pala. And so were those Trixie Angeles hate entries as well. Believe it or not, Trixie …

When the City of Olongapo is mentioned, the first things that would come to mind are two: the entertainment bars lining its streets and the name Gordon.
While the roots of existence of the former are well-traced, the existence and the reason why the latter became a household name is not much talked about. Who really are the Gordons? How did they come into power? And how for several decades, did a single family dominate the entire political landscape of the city?
The Early Gordon
Though nobody from the local opposition could prove …

Oh my gulay!
Naloka ako sa ‘The Buzz’ tonight.
Akala ko kasi ay nag-reformat from talk show to drama show ang ‘The Buzz’…hehehe…
Ganito kasi yun…
The first crying moment happened while Boy Abunda is interviewing Ruffa Gutierrez to finally say goodbye to ‘The Buzz’ family. The former beauty queen is in her usual smiles clarifying issues but she suddenly cried for about 3 minutes before the end of the interview. Naisip ko tuloy na mababa yata …

The more we get inundated by all these pro-poor ads of the Villar campaign, the more people balked at how glaring its big disconnect from realities. In fact, we’ve found another ally in Richard Gordon blasting Manuel Villar Jr. for “fooling the poor” with his campaign advertisements because he said, Villar has done nothing to alleviate poverty while in office.
According to Gordon:
“Villar seems to be “exploiting” the poor with his TV ads, where the NP presidential bet claims he will end poverty in the country. “There’s too much exploitation of …

Life in the barrio B.C., that’s boring community, is truly boring. Only the sons, daughters and friendsters of the politicos move up to taste barbecue. Us, los indios have no futuro. Some of my relatives died of kamote overdose. Us the survivors, have to work twice as hard and haw-haw de carabao to even smell pugak pugak de tambutso in the city. Now, that’s a big deal when you go back to the Barrio. In fact, it’s a must that you carry one lata of biskwet. Ave Maria, I never …

There’s one blogger who libelously and slanderously blogged that I was a paedophile and would soon be blogged by drug addicts and AIDS stricken foreign germs. Well, I just found out today that this blogger who originally blogged that I was a paedophile improved his blogging abilities tremendously by deleting all of his slanderous articles against me. His problem is that we have captures, copies and screenshots, just in case I become friends with the next Supreme Court Justice.
So, to all these reyna haters, I came up with a prayer …

“I’ll not stop till I’m number one” sabi ni Gibo Teodoro.
Although tumataas ang kilay ko minsan on some national issues that concerns Gibo Teodoro, overall, I truly have nothing bad to say against Gibo. Quite honestly, nabokya ako sa Barrio about my leanings for Gibo hehehe! But as far as I am concerned, it’s truly understandable on my part if I admire Gibo, given how I value education. And with that, I do have a lot of respect for Gibo’s educational credentials. Pero, hanggang dun lang. Sorry, it’s still Noynoy …

According to the cheezmaks grapevine, Noynoy’s strength is his “purity” so that’s where they are trying to hit him.
These CD’s daw are being distributed sa lahat nang local government units in the country, kasali na …

Charing hahaha! Kaya naman, nang sinabi nang partidong Akbayan na huwag iboto si Lito Lapid dahil a vote for Lito Lapid is a vote for GMA, pwes, nag-wala ang Leon Guerrero!
The Akbayan Party-list released on Friday a call not to vote for Lito Lapid dahil they believe that GMA forced him to run for re-election.
“It was only after GMA was able to convince him not to run against another GMA ally Lilia Pineda for …

If Noynoy has Kris, I’ve got Pacquiao, Villar says

Pinili daw nila to start in Zamboanga given na merong spiritual konek ang city na to sa family nila and this was where Noynoy Aquino decided to run as President. Dinumog si Kris Aquino sa Zamboanga Airport pa lang while husband James was already in the city bago sa sila dumating kaya …

Dalawang buwan na lang.
May napili ka na bang kandidato? If yes, good for you. Pero sure ka na ba?
If wala pa, pwes piliin mo ang manok ko. Si Atcheng Jamby. Charing! Hahaha! Be informed, and most of all, choose Jamby. Hahaha!

From the facebook wall of Sylvia Morningstar, copy-pasted by Robert Young, Jr.
Everyone in the media knows Lito Banayo’s in Erap’s team. And we note that he and his teammate Dacky Paredes have been attacking Villar consistently. Sometimes I wonder just how much patience everyone has for this billiard game – You hit the cue ball: Villar. All the other colored balls that move in chain reaction from the cue ball either fall into a target basket OR go rolling to some other direction. That takes patience and steady nerve. How …

This is a repost (originally posted here). Why? Because there is something magical with this entry and I love it because of it’s swak factor to the current political times. It has what I call the “konek” factor.
I am reposting this entry by Malen, one of our B7 writer, because these are the places in the Philippines forgotten by these politicians. Just in time to ting-a-ling some of these candidates that our barrios truly need some ‘about time’ attention. Who truly cares for our folks in the barrio? Alam nyo …

Wala akong paki-alam kung ano ang horoscope ni Jamby Madrigal, but I love her now! Hahaha!
In fact, I was so enamored by her wit dun sa presidential debate sponsored by the University of the Philippines and the Philippine Daily Inquirer, I started following her news stories. True, strategically, a vote for Jamby is a vote against Noynoy, my candidate. But she’s doing a pretty good job in helping me understand some of the stories I have no knowledge about.
For example, I’ve read about some of these land-grabbing issues …

I don’t know how it feels to be part of a political campaign, let alone do the explaining when surveys goes into a tailspin or squirts back to the top. At least in B7, if our Alexa goes up or down, it is what it is. No spinning needed Matilda. So, it must be crazy over at the Noynoy camp and the Villar camp. In fact, I even noticed that their ads are targeting completely opposite and/or different demographics which I’ll touch on the next entry. But in the art …

I’ve worked in the public housing industry in the United States for many years, overseeing housing investment tax credits and low income housing programs, which is why I would love to see a similar type of program be introduced in the Philippines, if there isn’t any in place. I’ve searched some government websites but I could not seem to find any information about affordable housing programs in the Philippines, I guess affordable housing programs are still called “squatters”. But even that is no longer affordable. You get evicted anytime. Popular …

Filipinos lack common sense.
Yeap. That’s what I read on the Inquirer’s Opinion/Letters to the Editor page.
I thought for a minute that it was written by you-know-who, that is, if you are a regular here in B7 hehehe! React if you may, just don’t smash your keyboard, but hey! There seemed to be some traces of truth in what this guy is saying. Say?!
Now, moi?! I don’t believe Filipinos lack common sense! I think we lack everything! Well… ok.. nufff… forget what I said – you …

Aquino-Villar tied? That’s not my issue.
They’re back! Senators Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III and Manuel Villar Jr. now engaged in a neck and neck race, and were statistically tied two months before the May 10 elections. Check this one out.

Perlas 0.2? De los reyes 0.1? Madrigal 0.1? Gordon 2? Villanueva 3? Teodoro 6? When are they quitting the race and campaign for Noynoy Aquino instead? After all, De los reyes has already conceded to Noynoy, di ba?
Oh?! And who da hell is ACOSTA?!

This is a late entry since I have been getting emails asking what happened to the Inquirer debate. I’ve been waiting for the videos to come online and finally, I saw them on Jamby’s site. This debate happened on February 8, 2010 at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. The debate was hosted by University of the Philippines and The Philippine Daily Inquirer.
