My response?! DA NERD!!!
Just how many “Unsolicited advice” have we heard from so many wannabe-advisors to President Noynoy? Quite a lot, davah? Imfak, Gloria has one too many. Malacanang Palace too! But here is one piece of unsolicited advice that I just can’t help reacting.
Malacañang gave incoming President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III a lesson or two on governance, cautioning him against discriminating his political opponents during his six-year term daw! Tapang magsalita!!!
They said:
You are the president even of your enemies.
“When you become the President, you become the President of …

It’s USA versus England!
Ok. Actually, it should have been the British.
Well, it’s close.
I’m not really talking about the action going on in Johannesburg, South Africa. I’m talking about the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico where a British company is the villain and the Americans are the victims.
You see, the British are angry with Obama’s constantly using the words “British Petroleum” when BP only started using the word BP two years ago. To them, by constantly referring to BP as “British Petroleum” it seemed like it …

Here in my part of the world (the United States), some economic experts just love to find somebody to blame for our struggling economy. Before it was Japan’s fault, now it’s China. And it’s so easy to blame China with its double digit economic growth and exports that is an envy of the world while we struggle here. What is difficult, is to understand the effects of China’s currency revaluation.
It is not even looking good because some “US politicians have repeated threats to impose trade sanctions on China if it …

Aquino-Binay: No news
Congress says it’s final. It’s Aquino and Binay. I visited some of the blogs that I visit frequently, I checked the statuses of some of my FB friends, and everyone in cyberspace is silent. Mar Roxas is mulling an electoral protest. He should, it’s a very close fight. He shouldn’t because it will take 7 years to resolve the issue.
Proxy war
Gloria appointed 250 people to juicy positions in what is now called midnight madness. One of which was the Armed Forces of the Philippines …

In the June 3, 2010 Abante Issue, Arnold A. Clavio write: Simple lang, Noy!
“Kung ayaw mo! Huwag mo!!

There are too many issues to count, floating around with regards to Noynoy & Mar tandem, the Noynoy & Binay tandem, the Hyatt 10, the Kamaganak Inc., Cabinet choices and lately, Juana Change a.k.a. Mae Paner.
I pray that these internal fights will not sideline or obliterate the real issues. There’s the plight of the political prisoners, there’s the Ampatuan Massacre, there’s the midnight appointments, there’s the Marcos ill-gotten wealth, there’s a new security guard at the Congress, there’s the speeding justice of the Employee of the Decade waving her magic …

The logic is simple: if there is a life threatening situation (in the Israeli case, a threat to their national security) or unless provoked into violence by terrorists, therefore, there is a need to defend their country and do necessary means to subdue the people that might have the capacity to endanger their lives and create havoc.
However, the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) failed to recognize that simple logic. They have shown one of the brilliant pieces of military idiocy committed on international waters. I guess most of us …

I saw this horrible video on CNN and I can’t help but analyze what’s going on.
Slide 1 – We won’t know what happened to these two vehicles before they appeared on the video. But if you look at the video and this picture, it appears that the truck was passing the car just normally.
Slide 2 – But I can’t help noticing that the truck came very close to the car. Or was it the other way around?
Slide 3 – The car moved away.
Slide 4 – But I noticed he …

Maloloka ako ki former assemblyman Homobono Adaza. Hindi lang sya nagbanta na magkakaron nang deklarasyon nang failure of elections pero, nagbanta pa sya na mega-file daw sya nang charges against US Ambassador Harry Thomas Jr. and Chinese Ambassador Liu Jianchao before the Office of the Ombudsman for allegedly conspiring to “proclaim” leading presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III as the duly elected president of the Philippines.

It’s ‘Glorious ending’ for Arroyo presidency sabi ni Romulo Virola, secretary general of the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB).
Pohta! Hindi man lang umabot sa barrio namen! Grabe!
Magdiwang tayong lahat because Gloriousness delivered a 7.3% GDP and so therefore asensado na tayo.

It all started when a South Korean submarine patrol boat was sunk by a torpedo. Later, the South Korean government would blame North Korea. The war of words was swift. The North accused the South of trespassing into its waters. Immediately, North Korea would freeze relations with the South. Why they would do such a hasty act when they rely on the South for their commerce is politically insane.
Yesterday, I was watching CNN and I saw that South Korea conducted an anti-submarine exercise. The North reacted that …

Imagine my new role: Reyna Elena, La Kapita de’l Barrio Siete, defender of Jejemon rights! Bwahaha!!! But don’t laugh now. In fact, I’ve been labeled as a Jejemon already.
Jejemons are called the new jologs, labeled as people of inferior mentality. If they are of inferior intellect, then how in the world were they able to invent and be creative with a brand new language of their own? And if you’re a jejemon hater, show your prowess of superior intellect by translating their language. Care for a challenge?

Recently, we heard this language fad – yeah, the jejemon language thingy – spread like wildfire among the youngsters of today. Not only the language became the fad but it also included some of the fashion too – the jejecap. And now, the fad is becoming more infectious (thanks to media), DepEd is now urging to purge the mentality out of the classrooms.
As it begins the yearly cleanup to prepare schools for the start of School Year 2010-2011, the Department of Education is also seeking to cleanse school-age Filipinos of …

Pansin nyo? Kahit ako sa Amerika nakita ko.
Feeling guilty kaya si Renato Corona?
Pano naman kase, at the rate Corona is appearing on too may live interviews, I suspect, he will soon be appearing sa Ellen deGeneres and Oprah Winfrey Show.
Corona’s term will be 8 years.

During the campaign, I wrote an entry where I was raving about how good Manny Villar’s Campaign team was. It was during that time when they bombarded the air-waves with campaign ads to deliver their message to the people. We all know how Manny’s ranking on the opinion polls kept closing in on Noynoy’s numbers. How Manny’s poll ratings disintegrated was another story of course.
Noynoy, meanwhile, was losing in the opinion polls at that time. Until he decided to take charge and simply focused on this one phrase: “kung walang …

I’m officially a resident of DC since birth and conception. I’ve seen it grow from just a city into this peaceful metropolitan that even though I currently work and live in a different region, I always consider Davao my home. Ang tahanan ng aking lahi. Charing.
Since I was a little gurl (walang kokontra), Davao City has been ruled by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte (except for that 3 years when he served as congress representative and his Vice Mayor Ben de Guzman took his place). The media calls him “The Punisher” but …

My oh my! The raping of the partylist system! The lord has spoken! Last minute! Mikey Arroyo is marginalized! If he is marginalized, you and me will now just be a dot. Here’s the news!
THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS (COMelec) has paved the way for Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo, the son of President Macapagal-Arroyo, to represent security guards and drivers in Congress, citing his work in supporting and advancing projects intended to benefit the marginalized.

The website subictimes.com strongly condemns the harassment of its publisher and chief photographer after he was verbally abused and forcibly escorted out of the political meeting of the Gordon Straight Ticket (GST) in Barangay Barretto in Olongapo City Monday evening.

The thieves took his EOS 1D Mark ll and EOS 400-D cameras with all his lens 28-135mm, 50mm f1.4, 100mm f2, 70-200mm L series canon, 2 flash his camera bag, all his …

It’s interesting to note that 10 years ago, May 4, 2000 to be exact, the “I love you” virus would spread across the world causing billions of US dollars in damages shutting down the network systems of even the Pentagon, CIA and the British Parliament.
Will history repeat itself?!

Basically, you can say that our jurassic election system using the legacy dag-dag bawas software version negative one, is getting a much needed upgrade. And how’s the conversion working?
Well, now it can be told officially. The tests produced weird results blares the headline on the Inquirer.
