Cezar Mancao II and the Truth about Dacer-Corbito murders
The barrio siete people are going to be reading another interesting episode in the never ending parade of news; scandal, scam and now murder.
The daughter of Bubby Dacer longed for this moment when the death of his father will have a closure. The accused and the witness is back from the United States where he fled to escape conviction. Cezar Mancao is back in the Philippines after the US government agreed on his extradition.
Background
Long before the Enron case in the United States, there was the country’s worst-ever stock market scandal, which rocked the local stock exchange in 1999, caused BW Resource’s share price to soar 50-fold before collapsing, wiping out the savings of hundreds of small investors.of the BW Resources, a gambling company which was controlled by Dante Tan and Mark Jimenez.
Yasay of the SEC told a Senate committee that Estrada had pressured him to exonerate Tan from the BW Resources probe.
He also accused Estrada of making a profit of 800 million pesos from the sale of shares in BW Resources Corp.
What had Bubby Dacer to do with this scandal?
Bubby Dacer was the publicist of Tan when the scandal broke in 1999 stock market scam in 1999 with Estrada being tagged as having ordered GSIS to invest in BW Resources’ stocks which plummeted when the scam became public.
This is one of the basis of Estrada’s conviction on plunder charges and which contributed to his ouster in 2001 .
He was abducted and murdered and the body together with his driver were found in Cavite. News said that he was actually on his way to a meeting with former President Fidel Ramos at the Manila Hotel to give Ramos documents that showed the participation of powerful personalities in the BW scandal
The Accused and the witness
Former police Senior Superintendent Cezar Mancao arrived in the country from the United States, Thursday via Philippine Airlines flight PR103.
He was escorted by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Anti-Terrorism Division chief Ricardo Diaz and NBI International Police Division chief Claro De Castro, Mancao was whisked away from terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at around 6 a.m. to a bullet-proof Ford Expedition van.
Mancao is expected to reveal all the principal suspects and the details on the killing of publicist Salvador “Bubby” Dacer.

The present government has been known for its wishy-washy decisions like pardoning Estrada. The way it has pursued Mancao and the Dacer case appears lionhearted. But who knows the Estrada-Lacson camp will offer something the Admin cannot refuse because it is worth advantageous more than million dollars that it will turn this case into a paper tiger…
i think of this as more like a gambit and they’re using Mancao for the Lacson/Estrada to “negotiate” besides the other camp wanted to be president for lie err life

Estrada’s saber-rattling for presidency is a way of grandstanding because he remains self-convinced that he is D Godfather of the Opposition. But unlike Bipartisan America, party disloyalty is more viral than an H1N1 in this country. So anytime, the volatile pending support from the opposition can diffuse into thin air, more so if the Dacer case will press him on…

More than 200 NBI security personnel were deployed along the route from the airport to ensure Mancao’s safety.
There were two decoy convoys. The convoy with Mancao did enter through the NBI front gate, where members of the media are waiting for him. It entered through the NBI back gate.”
