Desperate moves for desperate times: Villar, kin and hooligans, uses mommy for pathetic sympathy votes

28 April 2010 45 Comments

11 days before election day, Manny Villar has been losing ground if not have totally lost it! The consecutive and blow by blow controversies hounding the very very very eager Presidentiable has not been met with either truth or satisfactory answer from the orange camp. It is very obvious that Villar and family are doing the dirtiest tricks not found in books known to the vilest humans, and putting them on the final act as election day comes near. Understandably, with 5 Billion pesos at stake which Villar spent for worthless commercial ads with his uncharismatic and seemingly botox injected facial expression, who could blame them?

Have you also heard that the facebook account of Senator Noynoy Aquino was hacked and the hacker was trying to unsubscribe members of the fan page? This was disclosed as an alert on the official website of Sen. Noynoy Aquino just this weekend.

Just yesterday (or the other day) on a Radio show, the commentator said in a brief news that Villar challenged Noynoy Aquino to disclose to the people the true condition of his health. Villar Camp, with all their lies and deceit, concocted another story that Noynoy was attacked with Epilepsy on the campaign trail. Of course this is not true. You know how disgusting this is: He either concocts ridiculous claims of rags to riches fairytale or base his challenges on bogus and fake psychological reports. With Gibo coming second on the public consciousness and Villar being thrown either at the 3rd or perhaps at the 4th spot, you could easily imagine how Villar must be feeling right now. No, no, its more intense than diarrhea or the feeling of crunching toothaches when you are about to eat… it is the feeling of being in a dead end with no way out but to grip on the knife and stab Ceasar at the back just to survive. It’s a feeling of desperation when all kinds of black propaganda thrown at a good man all backfired on the source and took the toll of its already plummeting credibility and trust rating. If only people could see the turmoil inside Villar right now: “where would I ever recover the 5 Billion pesos if I lose?”. Tsk Tsk. Probably in the Sea of Garbage?

The Psychological Topak Gimmick didn’t work, and to be honest, this epilepsy attack will not also bring down a good man. So what could be the best possible antidote for a mother’s legacy-rubbed man, than to bring him down by using the legacy of the rival’s own mother. The only difference is, her own mother is not much that of a hero compared to the object of desperation.

Today, Villar’s Family held a press conference with their mom as their latest defense. Inquirer run a story today:

An emotional mother of presidential candidate Senator Manny Villar came out in public for the first time Monday to defend her son against allegations that he was a liar, especially on his claims that he came from a poor family.

When asked why she called a press conference, Curita “Nanay Curing” Villar broke into tears, saying “Kasi aping-api na ang anak ko.”

“Diyos ko kayo na po ang bahala… Mahal na Birhen, kayo na ang testigo sa aking mga anak,” said Nanay Curing, days after her son was accused of allegedly defrauding the government of millions of pesos in taxes.

“Akala niyo ba di kami nasasaktan, halos ikamatay ko na,” said Nanay Curing as she broke down again”

With all due respect to Nanay Curing, the people understand her sentiments because all mothers are bound to defend their son when they are in a big trouble like what Villar is having now. But to Villar’s family especially to his feisty sisters, WTF were they thinking? You know very well that when you go on politics and run as a candidate for that matter, every inch of your persona, your lifestyle is under a microscope. You should have known better since Villar is a Trapo par excellence for years. No one in their right mind and love for their parents would they allow their mother to be thrown at the center of a political circus and use them as a magnet for sympathy and empathy. Nanay Curing is too old to be in a bad light, and to be a subject of intense scrutiny. A loving son or daughter should have done otherwise to protect every possible way their parents from the prying eyes of the public and media. But instead, they willingly allow the poor old lady be used to recover the already dwindling image of Villar.

Inquirer also added:

One of Villa’s sisters, Gloria Benedicto, stopped the press conference when her mother became hysterical.

While another sister was being interviewed after the press conference, Bendicto lost her temper when a reporter asked the reason for the press conference, saying that this might be misconstrued that the mother was being used by Villar in his campaign.

“Sino bang hindi gumagamit ng nanay. Eh patay na nga ang nanay nila ginagamit pa nila. Mabuti pa kami buhay pa yung nanay, kaya pang ipagtanggol ang anak,” said Benedicto who, although did not name names, apparently referred to Villar’s archrival for the presidency, Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and his mother, the late president Corazon Aquino.

She also criticized television networks ABS-CBN, GMA7, and other media companies for allegedly being unfair to her brother.

The sisters are so fckd-up way out of line, I tell you. Papatawag kayo ng Press conference and when your mother goes hysterical magagalit kayo sa media? What gives?

Villar is not yet a President yet the sisters are now acting as if the people and the media owes them an apology. What will they become if Villar became President? Monsters?

Cory Aquino’s legacy is already in the history books. To compare their mother’s heroism to Cory Aquino’s own is like comparing a moth to a flame. Heroes and Heroines are meant to be mentioned, remembered and honored throughout history because they died for a reason. And forgetting their legacy is like forgetting what they died and fought for. So what is Villar’s sister talking about? Villar’s mother is not yet dead and they already wanted to put a pedestal on their mom’s feet just because she sell shrimps in Divisoria? I agree that Nanay Curing deserves all the applause in the world in her own right, but not that much.. and not that YET!

In simple rhetoric, comparing the legacy of Noynoy’s mom to Villar’s mom’s entrepreneurship is not only inappropriate and insensitive but also offensive to their own mother.

My question to you dear readers is, if you are in a big big trouble, and you know that your mother is too old to carry the burden of your own lies and deceits which you have cause your self by your own doing, would you even allow your mom to be involved in a political circus that is neither merciful or sympathetic to your cause, even if the mom really wanted herself to be subjected to such public attention? now tell me honestly, would you?

Nanay Curing deserve to be protected and live the rest of her life stress free and not put her in the middle of a Press conference and subject her to such brutal questioning. Villar, His sisters and his hooligans are either apathetic or just plain stupid.

Like every political move to inject black propaganda that Villar threw over Aquino, this has been probably the most stupidest and the most disgusting… like everything else, this is meant to backfire again… at a time when Villar should have resorted to honesty and not by piling more lies to his tower of evil, two critical weeks before election day comes.

Villar is so doomed beyond recovery from drowning on a sea of Garbage. And he should blame it on himself and his family.

Now tell me DR. CAT, do we still need to discuss this or should we just leave everything to your high and mighty self-righteous clawed bitchy opinion?

To use one’s parent, a father or a mother, to defend or deflect issues against oneself is but just plain cowardice. Hadn’t the Ponkan man been called Duwag before?

An 80+ mother would not volunteer to defend a son/daughter, wheelchair bound and unable to control her drooling, Nanay Curing was definitely used by his user son, the coward in order to recover lost ground.

Whether Nanay Curing was sincere or not. That is no longer the issue. It’s how and what, Villaroyo will do in order to win.

Attaboy Villaroyo and your camp! You can of course do better than that!

    • reynz says:

that’s what were saying Ka Nilo, at 80 years and frail, the more they have to protect her instead of pushing her front center in the media – given na yong protectiveness nang isang ina sa isang anak. this is politics. it was Manny Villar who started all these galing sya sa mahirap, the C5, the Vista Land IPO.

      • kutz, PhD says:

Give her a break.

  • libertad says:

1st offense — hmm ok nice try let’s learn a lesson here.

villar’s camp is banking on the stupidity of the filipino people. i don’t want that kind of person, or the people around him including those kind of sisters to be running this country.

  • kutz, PhD says:

At para hindi off topic, I will end it with: GO NANAY CURING!!!

    • reynz says:

Ooops! me nakalimutan ka pang isang theory, very very well proven theory ni reyna: “the more his boylets swindle him, the more he knows they love him” hehehe

      • Silver says:

        HAHAHHAHAH….

Hahhaha. Fan na fan ni Reyna Elena yun.

      • kutz, PhD says:

The more his boylets ka dyan, leche!

        • Kutz says:

Honga no?

Nakakaawa eh. Juice ko, he could have spare his mother from the stress of politics!

  • Yogi says:

Abangan!

    • reynz says:

halatang drama and halatang it was planted by them. naku basahin mo ang editorial sa inquirer!

      http://opinion.inquirer.net/inquireropinion/editorial/view/20100427-266785/Mothers

Villar’s sisters said they were surprised that reporters showed up at their mother’s residence, but it was Villar’s staff that advised reporters to go there. In the end the press appearance had to be cut short due to concerns about their mother’s blood pressure, which leads us to ask why they put her through the ordeal in the first place.

One of Villar’s sisters snapped at a reporter who asked if their mother wasn’t being used for political purposes, “Who was the first to do it?” She pointed out that another candidate even had his parents on his posters.

Again, this was an expression of personal outrage and as such, beyond public comment, but it does ignore one essential fact: In a society that puts mothers on a pedestal, we cannot think of any candidate who hasn’t invoked the example of his or her mother at one point or another in the campaign.

  • N!ckph says:

Akala ko pang- mothers day, yon pala para sa election day…

  • luisbatchoy says:

The height of pathetic-ness! Ano naman… sister sa sister! Fun! Hehehehe

  • Johnonymous says:

Voters must by guided by what these candidates offer us, it’s like buying insurance. What policy will they cover you or for them to be accountable for. Never mind experience or accomplishments because the Philippine law provides a very general qualification for individuals who are seeking public office.

When Noynoy said, “Hindi ako mag-nanakaw.” This itself is a very strong “insurance policy” he really mentioned it outright on record. He also made few examples that without corruption, citizens will enjoy quality and un-compromised government services such as infrastructure, health care services, etc.

Some describe Noynoy as a dormant member of the senate, but if that is purely true, it is certainly behind him now… Standing up for real change is really great, regardless of your accomplishment.

Noynoy is very much aware of his offers. In a way, he is challenging society to reprimand him if progress did not happen and corruption did not dwindle under his watch.

A mother’s appeal is not really enough to put Villar or anybody in the office, Jason Ivler’s mom is for him even when he is wrong. A mother’s appeal is usually a biased political action… Voters must be careful with.

    - I am a converted Noynoy supporter… (I wish Nick Perlas a cabinet position after the elections, I wish to see more of him and wish him to be the next president!)

    • reynz says:

wow! glad to hear! eh di ba, i was banking on Perlas to just join as a Cabinet member?

but yeah, election is selling a candidate and i have pointed out that Gordon, being a tailender should have examined what was going wrong because he is not sellable. kaso they refuse to believe that there is something wrong. instead they blame the public.

      Villar? false advertising hahaha

      Erap? product returns hahaha

      Gibo? un-wanted warranty attached hahaha!

The rest? (sorry Mel! haha) NO MARKET hahaha

  • Mel says:

Manny Villar’s sisters can now replace Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria et al as the cast of Desperate Housewives.

  • Jet says:

Moral of the story – No one has a monopoly of good mothers…

Simply put, all of us have good mothers that believe in us…

  • Dada says:

Ngek!

Avah, Villar spin fifol!

  • gio says:

How i wish i could laugh loud… but seeing Mother Curing on tv reminds me of my mom. having this feeling of disgust and sadness. Sigh, what gives, Villar? What? I couldn’t imagine myself doing that to my mom even at the most desperate of times. She is sick, old and doesn’t know what she has gone into. I admire the love for the son. She is one true Mother. Sino man kandidato natin, I suggest we spare her amidst this hype even if it was her family’s fault – for the coming mother’s day sake.

    haay, politics…=(

  • [...] “Unfair kayo sa kapatid ko!” That was the statement blurted out by one of the Villar sisters during the press conference they held. [...]

  • Lila Shahani says:

That was just horrible. Can u imagine making your own Mom go through that on your behalf?

  • luisbatchoy says:

I love that comment reyns. Let’s protect nanay curing by sparing her the sadness and pain if and when manny becomes president because surely, with that position comes great stress and opposition, so let’s make sure nanay curing does not have to go through that.

  • battx726 says:

  • battx726 says:
