Did Belo inadvertently fueled hate on the internet?!
Eric Bordeos sent me a lot of hate comments to get in touch with Belo Medical Group or Belo Clinic. He even gave me their phone numbers to call. I got so confused then, I think my mind went to Jupiter! What in the world do I have to do with them, you know?! Arrrrggh!~!@#$!#!!
But I was interested in something else. What’s with the fkng hatred online?! This was when I had no clue where all of these were coming from. I asked Paul Farol who was behind these hate attacks against Reyna Elena. Of course, I know now, that Paul Farol, himself was behind all of these hate blogs directed at me while somebody else was trashing Trixie Angeles! That bloody asshole! But here was his response to me then:
“If you want to know who is behind the hate campaign Edwin, I have an idea of who is behind the hate campaign. Try to investigate who are the people close to Dr. Vicky Belo” ~Paul Farol.
Vicky Belo. Hmmn…
Interesting.
This got me thinking.
Wasn’t she in the business of creating fake or temporary beauty?
Yet behind that “temporary beauty creation” was “spawning hatred on the net”?!
This reallllllly got me thinking I’m writing down my thoughts!
Let me tell you what’s on my mind.
The insistence of these astroboys from the Dona Victorina group in humiliating alleged body modifications and medical intervention has reminded me of that paragon of virtue in the medical profession, known in these parts as Vicky Belo. Or Doctor to the Stars, if you must.
Belo burst into the scene with her open endorsement of knife-assisted beauty. She made it acceptable for ordinary Filipinos to undergo beauty enhancement procedures and in doing so, earned millions. She spawned copycat clinics emboldened by her blatant commercialization of medicine, and though she felt the heat, there was no stopping her domination in the field.
Her first controversy came in the form of advertising. She became the first successful medical practitioner who took out ads and got celebrity endorsers. The only other doctor we remember having done this before was the famed Dr. Garma who specialized in circumcision and venereal disease.
With her colleagues breathing down her neck, Belo resorted to the one tool that she would use repeatedly throughout her career.
— Enter the PR guy.
To say the least, Belo hurdled that controversy and established herself as the first and last name in plastic and aesthetic medical intervention as well as a pioneer in the use of PR and advertising and she used this to great financial advantage.

But her personal life proved her undoing. Enamoured with the media spotlight, she became bolder and bolder in relationships, eventually taking up with one Hayden Kho. The fallout from the Katrina Halili scandal, however was nothing compared to her next nightmare when a spate of botched surgical jobs caught the Pinoy imagination.
A case involving a botched butt operation and a burned face hit the headlines (oh, ha, baka yung mga taga ibang barrio dyan kung anu-ano na naman ang ipagsasabi dyan ha?!).
Belo fell back on her old reliables to take care of the problem, the same solution she sought when she first felt the heat of controversy when her colleagues bashed her unethical behavior of turning medicine into a business. It seemed like she increased her PR budget.
But no amount of PR could knock the story off the papers and the evening news. With each new Hayden controversy, the surgical lawsuits gained more mileage. With every tear Katrina shed, people remembered the nurse whose face was permanently scarred by, ironically, a procedure that was to make her facial skin smoother.
And so it became an epic PR war that Vicky lost spectacularly. She was compelled to file libel charges against one of her victims’ lawyers.
From what we hear, she is still in that hole. She is still using PR as a means to solve her problems. But it is an online campaign designed to counter the Facebook postings that damaged Belo’s online reputation. Those FB postings were allegedly made by one of the victims’ lawyers and Belo’s new PR has designed a campaign to destroy the Belo victims.
And that is the rub. Getz nyo ko mga ka-barrio?
It seemed to me that Belo, advertently or inadvertently fueled hate on the internet. If the story is true, then she has just given monetary advantage to a PR person/persons to insinuate crimes, vices and defects on others. The irony is that, for someone whose business is hinged on making people beautiful, her alleged financing of an online villification campaign makes her a promoter of ugly hate.

Wansapanataym, si Belo, may image problem ang bisnis. Her clinic was sued by a patient dahil pumalpak at tumabingi ang butt augmentation, hehehehe. Mega hire sha ng PR fifol to control the damage sa kabisnisan. When the patient sued Belo, Trixie was the lawyer.
Siniraan ng Belo’s PR creatures ang image ni Trixie para ma divert ang attention from the bisnis. Trixie happen to hang out here sa barrio seven kahit di sha author, friendship ever lang ba. The creatures thought super close ang Trixie and Ateng Reynz so mega declare naman sila ng war against Reynz…
Nagsimula sa batuhan ng tinapay. Tapos yung tinapay isinilid na sa garapon. Nag wish ang mga creatures na sana illegal immigrant ang Reynz at idedeport sha ni Obama. Tinusok nila ang Reynz ng kawayan, pinakain ng mansanas. Gumanti ang Reynz, gumamit ng fairy power. May I wave ng magic wand at ibinigay ang wish nung isa na maging unggoy, hahahahah!

…Wansapanataym ulit, lalong tumingkad at nagkakulay ang batuhan ng tinapay na isinilid sa garapon. Nag uumafaw ang hangarin ng magkalabang grupo na patunayang mas maganda sila, hehehe. Sa pangatlong pagkakataon, lumiko ulit ang paksa ng bangayan. Kung maaalala ninyo, di baga’t nagsimula sa tumabinging wetpu ang lahat? Piktapos, *bzing!* naliko at napunta sa batuhan ang gunpowder at talcum powder hanggang sa sila eh pansamantalang naging mga residente ng manila zoo?
Di nagtagal, ang mga nuno/mermaid gumamit ng pulang winiform at lahat ng garapon nila ay kulay red na rin sapagkat pula ika ang pinakamagandang kulay! Hindi pumayag ang Reyna ng fairyland dahil para sa kanya, dilaw ang pinakamagandang kulay! Nagsuot ang mga tiga fairyland ng dilaw na winiporm(except sa iilang tiga fairyland na matitigas ang paninidigan na hindi makumbinsing magsuot ng dilaw~~ hihihihi! *bow*). Malen, I understand this… the short version of this post is…
When Person 1 called out Person 2 for some unruly behavior or way… Person 2 responded with a barrage of hate posts protecting their own interest… No matter how Person 1 is right and on moral high ground on his criticms, Person 1′s gesture is very bad for Person 2′s business and reputation… especially when they pose themselves as the champions of social justice.
So to save Person 2′s reputation, they employ PR tactics such as Astroturfing and Press Release pimping (to the tabloids)… They fabricate story angles that they are ethical and Person 1 is not…
This post is a parallel story to what is happening between B7 and its haters… They were just asked for being associated with haters but they replied with ugly sort of posts and turned La Kapitana into many forms of animal, mocking legal/economic status and turned him into many sorts of law offender… from time to time…
A normal and matured person would not react this way… Remember when we called out Carlo Ople for the PG issue… He never hated us, he bounced in class to us with his sincerest gestures… Made all the corrections at his grasp. I believe him and he got my deepest respect. He is humble at the same time, I was humbled too for he only sought solutions, not retaliation.
Those haters are threatened to be criticized. Because they believe, in their Empire State Of Mind, that they are correct… You know who they are… Capital A, P, E — APE
actually, that would be the logical conclusion kung anong reason behind these hate campaigns. eh ano naman ang kinalaman mo kay Belo? bakit ka nadamay?
either na-offend mo ang isa sa kanila which i doubt. or isa sa kanila ang me pagnanasa sa yo reynz. psychology. the way to get your attention is to attack you on a personal level.

things are actually shaping up now. why do I believe that Dona Victorina is actually rooting for Gordon or Villar? That’s just my gut feel but we will know this soon.
but the fact remains – Reyna Elena and Barrio Siete are not even a political blog. Moi? trying hard humor blogger but the thing is, we have more pull than Dona Victorina dahil even Villars, Gordons, Jamby’s, Perlas and Bayani read us dahil humor nga eh. Kiver di ba? i seem to agree the need to legislate political advertisements because it poisons people’s minds. if we are going to change then this is by far the dirtiest area in our life, bombarded with lies and all lies.
that legislation i hope would impact the works of these PR agencies. i have said this in my old comments – i don’t frown on all PR agencies and all PR people, but when they start ruining your personal life, your professional life, it’s blatantly serious and i fully believe that these types of internet actions deserves legislation not only to adress cyberbullying but arrest online hate.
if this could be done in the United States, there is no reason why the Philippines would not be able to pass one and punish these anonymous characters out to struck their hatred online.
