Eleksyon 2010: The Quest for the Longest Line
Juice ko ‘day!
Nakakaloka ang haba ng mga pila sa mga voting precincts. I doubt kung matatapos bumoto ng 7pm ang lahat ng nakapila sa kasalukuyan. My friend who’s in Tagbilaran City, anim na oras nang nakapila and as of now hindi pa rin siya nakaboto.
I had the chance to roam around the city kanina and ito ang iilan sa mga litraks na nakuha ko sa iba’t ibang location within Davao City.
This was in Palma Gil Elementary School (1st District), notice the queue from the ground floor up to the third level.
In fairness, meron naman assistance center sa gitna ng lobby ng Palma Gil Elementary School. I think this was the school where Speaker Nograles voted.
And this one was in Kapitan Tomas Monteverde, Sr. Central Elementary School (1st District).
Hahaha
Meanwhile, this was in Buhangin Central Elementary School (2nd District).
Sobrang sikip, I tell you. Mukhang walang sistema sa pagpipila dito unlike the other schools I visited.
Lastly, this was in Davao City High School (1st District).
I love the Rover Scouts because they’re a big help in assisting the voters.
I was fortunate enough to roam around the school and hindi naman gaanong congested tulad ng ibang voting precincts.
As of this writing (7pm), marami pa rin ang nakapila sa mga schools according to the primetime news.
I hope next election, the Comelec will make a smoother system para mas madali ang pag-cast ng votes ng mga botante.

Mel is is the ‘gurl’ behind “The Misadventures of Mel Beckham”. ‘She’ graduated with a double major in Management and Entrepreneurship. ‘She’ grew up in the city but now lives in the bukid near barrio siete juggling work as a farm manager, office secretary, messenger, construction worker, housemaid, make-up artist and babysitter. Despite ‘her’ busy schedule, ‘she’ finds the time to blog in between work, and errands using ‘her’ primitive mobile phone. ‘She’ plans to take ‘her’ MBA soon but ‘her’ multiple jobs prevent ‘her’ from doing so unless going to school will get ‘her’ paid to pay for ‘her’ utangs.
Before ‘she’ dies, ‘she’ hopes of owning a pair of Louboutins, and landing on the cover of Vogue, kahit sa Vogue India lang. Whichever comes first.

OT: ang ganda nung school! hahaha! na-inggit ako bigla!
@mel- did D-D-S win?
@reyns – which school? the first photo is a new building after the old (reaallllyyyy old) wooden structure burned down. (note: through the initiative yan of the “frog”, say mo?)
all the rest, nice to see familiar sights… haaay.
