Ellen DeGeneres and Tim Gunn: PETA’s People of the Year for 2009

Popular American comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has been named “Woman of the Year” by People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for promoting her vegan diet and her campaign to stop animal cruelty in 2009. DeGeneres has been known recently by championing the meat and dairy-free lifestyle on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

While, reality-show host Tim Gunn, who appears on fashion programme “Project Runway” in the US, was reportedly named PETA’s “Man of the Year” for promoting an anti-fur stance in the name of fashion.
Both of them received a plaque and a letter of appreciation from the animal rights organization.
Congrats to Ellen and Tim Gunn. Keep up the good work!

Remember the time when Ellen ‘came out’? Isa si Oprah na very vocal ang suporta kay Ellen kaya matagal na rin ang kanilang pinagsamahan. Mentorship wise, perhaps. Comedy nga lang ang atake ni Ellen.

Ellen is amazing, isn’t she? One of my local stations aired her show at 9 and it was a great start to the day.
