Fear of science will kill us by Michael Specter

14 April 2010 3 Comments

Talk about fake vitamins, organic foods, genitically-engineered foods and more. I’d like to share you all this CNN video of Michael Specter. He says that fear of science can have deadly consequences. He say the debate over genetically modified foods is off base, all of the food we eat is genetically modified and that genetic improvement of food is the key to feeding billions more people.

Michael Specter is a staff writer at The New Yorker and the author of “Denialism: How Irrational Thinking Hinders Scientific Progress, Harms the Planet and Threatens our Lives.” TED, a nonprofit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading,” hosts talks on many subjects and makes them available through its Web site, http://www.ted.com/.
