Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince: Worlwide Release, July 17 2009
Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince already premiered in London. While The rest of the world was tuned in to saying goodbye to Michael Jackson, the 5th movie installment in the JK Rowling series, premiered in a rainy place called London.
If you have read all the Harry Potter books (like I did!), then you probably know already how book 6 goes. It started with a scene that included small kids: Lily Potter, Petunia (Lily’s sister and Harry’ weird Aunt), and the third child is Severus Snape.
Book 6 is a story of both Severus Snape and Lord Voldemort.
It is a story about how Severus Snape, who was a good friend of Lily who turned death eater and in the name of his love for Lily later returned to the good side and became the most trusted spy of Albus Dumbledore.
Yes, good guy pala si Snape. Dahil mahal nya si Lily Potter. He begged Lord Voldemort to spare the life of Lily Potter. But she was killed with her husband, James Potter, anyway. (Eto yung killing incident na na-survive ni Harry. He was the only person who survived the killing curse (Avada Kedavra) in the history of the wizarding world.)
The death of Lily Potter was the reason for Severus Snape to turn to Albus Dumbledore and do all of his bidding. Of course all the while, Lord Voldemort was thinking that Snape was on his side.
Sabi na nga ba na ang mga scar people, are actually hurt people. They are just hiding their pain through anger and other negative emotions. Galit na galit ako noon kay Severus Snape. Pero nung mabasa ko ang book 6 ng Harry Potter… humanga ako ng todo sa kanya.
Book 6 too is a story of Lord Voldemort’s life, of how he rose into a great Dark Wizard of his time. This is a story of how Lord Voldemort split his soul into 7 horcruxes, thinking that the act will turn him invincible.

That been said…those who will see the movie Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince should read the Book 7 right away. Mabibitin kasi kayo sa malungkot na ending ng Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince. Malungkot na nakakainis.
While the title ‘The Half-Blood Prince’ actually refers to Professor Severus Snape’s identity…the said book (book 6) tells the story of Lord Voldemort’s humble and sad beginnings to how he became the greatest dark wizard of his time. The story of how he splitted his soul into 7 horcruxes with the thought that the said act will turn him invincible.
On the other hand, book 7 — Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows — tackles the story of a young Severus Snape and his long-time friendship with Lily Potter. In fact, it was Snape’s (secret) deep love for Lily that made him Albus Dumbledore’s most trusted spy. Together with Dumbledore, Snape prepared and trained Harry Potter — readied him against the Dark Lord.
After reading book 7, I realized that Snape is actually a good guy. He was like a sacrificial lamb in the Harry Potter story. He had to be hated by everyone…so that nobody will suspect that he is actually working for Dumbledore. As opposed to the common knowledge that he works for Lord Voldemort. Nobody suspected the truth, not even Lord Voldemort.

I was actually late nung sinimulan ko ang pagbabasa , lahat ng mga kaklase ko sa college (o, college na ako nun ha!) eh nabasa na ang libro. I was like, ano yan?! Kahit lalake nung college eh nagbabasa nito… yung tipong least people na iisipin mong babasahin ang Book.
Nung sinimulan ko, aba, hooked. Hooked lang na aabangan ko ang next book. Not naman hooked like others na makikipag unahan sa pila para makakuha ng libro at liliban sa trabaho para makapila sa first show sa sine. (Promise may mga kaibigan akong ganon!)
Anyway, may mga DVDs naman eh. you can probably start watching if you want para maintindihan mo sila Glo, Silver at iba pa kapag ayaw nilang sabihin ang “abra kadabra”. At makilala mo na rin si, “he-who-must-not-be-named”.

ouch. hehe. isa ako sa mga nabanggit na die-hard fan na yun a. kasi twing nilalabas ang bagong libro sa series, alas-siete pa lang, nasa harap na kami ng powerbooks ng mga college friends ko, tapos sabay namin babasahin maghapon. haha. nung tapos na yung series, yung movies na ang inaabangan namin, at totoong nagli-leave kami sa trabaho para makapanood sa 1st day, and take note: maghapon yun nung hindi pa sureseats amg mga sinehan. hehe. this year, umuwi pa ang isang tropa namin from saudi para makasama namin sya manood sa imax. hehe. yun narin kasi ang reunion namin.

WOW, for a change. I thought this entry is from Silver, hahaha. Excited din ako sa Harry Potter, in fact, magpapa-book na sana ko ng plane to UK para dun ko mismo mapanood sa premiere nila kaso lang wala pala kong pamasahe. Hahaha.
Nagsimula lang akong magbasa nyang HP noong first years ko sa first job ko, nauso yung mga emailed copy ng buong HP books. May isang point pa nga na may lumabas na order of the phoenix book na fake. Si Dumbledore daw ang boss ni Voldemort. Hahaha!

lol, panay ang bili ko ng hard bound books lahat ng volume ng harry potter para sa anak ko mula nung maliit pa sya, pero kagaya ko di rin pala interested sa harry potter,wala akong nabasa o napanood kahit isa kagaya din ng lord of the rings di ako naging interested,my mga books na kahit ang ganda ganda nya e parang ni ayaw ko manlang hawakan ewan ko ba weird kasi nga halos lahat ng tao e fan ng HP.
