Are you enjoying this election campaign?! Grabeng awayan! Personalan na sya! Hahaha! Sometimes nga, I have no more clue what to blog because I would then follow kung ano ang rebuttal nang other side. Mas maganda sya to follow instead of the 2012.

By the book di ba dapat journalists are supposed to be fair to humankind, bring peace and goodwill to all men and women. Ok. A lot of times, puro horror and dala nila. Pag politics na kasi, they are already using the newspaper as their personal platform. But who knows, in the print media biz, he who gets the most buzz, gets the most readership. The more readership? It mean$, thi$. Pero pramis, joyful reading ang mga awayan nila hehehe! Nakakatuwa!

For example, this Benigno Aquino III Autistic entry What, pray tell, is autism? written by Butch Castillo of the Daily Mirror is something enjoyable to follow haha!

Ok. So it all started with that entry. Next thing you now, Raissa Robles would undress the entry with such hilarity an tawa ko grabe! Well, if you think it’s over, merong rebuttal hehehe! Days of our bloglives ang dating. Maraming “huh?!” dito at talagang joyful reading sya. You can follow the entry here: Is he really autistic(?) …just asking

Marami syang patutsada at mga pasaring. Simple lang naman pala ang Journalism hehehe!

Inquirer and ABS-CBN pro-Noynoy?

“…..I said, with a yawn: “Oh, that’s okay; the Inquirer is increasingly becoming like ABS-CBN, which is unabashedly pro-Noynoy in the current presidential race. It has become a sort of Defender of the Noynoy Faith.” (As a professional journalist, I have long learned that I must be able to take criticisms as much as I can dish them out, provided such criticisms are made without malice.)

Embroidery: A feminine activity

Ano ba?! Hahaha! Ba’t naging personalan ata to?!

Before I go any further, let me say that I am more amused than irked by the comments of either Robles or Quezon. I know absolutely nothing about Robles, but I have heard enough about Quezon from the media circles I circulate in. I could only smile when he chose to use the verb “embroidered” the Maceda idea (that somehow linked Noynoy to the neurological disorder called autism, or autism spectrum disorder. For Mr. Quezon’s edification, I never “embroider” things, which is a feminine activity. I would have liked it better if he had used a more masculine verb which, I am sure, he’d have no trouble finding as an accomplished writer.

Cheezmaks story

….I confronted my source yesterday, and he said I must have misheard him. He swears that he learned from Ninoy himself that Kris got bitten by the family Doberman during an out-of-town sortie with a number of public officials.

Alibi: Messenger

If Ms. Robles or Quezon carefully read my column, they would find that I was merely passing on what I heard from my sources for whatever they were worth. I even ended the piece with the question—is it true (?)—and said the public would like to know, because there’s so much talk about Noynoy’s alleged neurological disorder. Is it true that he is autistic? I ask again. The Aquino family should answer this blunt question bluntly and vehemently deny it if there is absolutely no basis to the charge.

WHEW! Grabeng sampalan nang mga journalists hehehe!

Bottom line for me, even if Noynoy responds with “No, I’m not.” I don’t think this answer will be good enough for Noynoy detractors as I see them deeply wanting that the autistic issue will stick with Noynoy. Mamaya nyan, they started asking for DNA. “Anak ka nga ba ni Ninoy?!” Hahaha!

And the strategy is very simple, create doubts even if the source was tsismis – then push for your candidate. Ganun lang yon.

Para mo nang inin-terview si La Kapitana with… “Bakla ka ba?”

Hindi.”

So, now it’s time for the other camp to answer. Sure enough – here’s Raissa

Part 2 – Do I think Sen. Benigno Aquino III is autistic?

Anyway… while we wait for Business Mirror columnist Butch del Castillo to respond, more popcorn please!!!

The reason “pro-Noynoy” and “anti-Noynoy” people or “camps” are “slapping” one another on issues of “autism”, marriage, and other stuff that are essentially not relevant to the governance and leadership to be exercised by a president over a sovereign nation in the period 2010-2016 is because the National “Debate” has pretty much nothing else of substance to work with.

So ika nga” enjoy all the mud-slinging and speculation on personalities that are traditional fare over a typical Philippine election campaign period. Because that is pretty much as much as one could expect of a people who cannot see the Office of the President as anything more than a trophy that they (the Voters of the Philippines) will be handing over to the bozo who is most successful at suckering them into believing their trite platitudes.

It’s simple, really Filipinos deserve each other.

As the venerable Eleanor Roosevelt was said to have said:

    Small minds discuss people
    Mediocre minds discuss events
    Great minds discuss ideas
