It’s gettin’ nasty out in Pinoy election blogosphere
Thinking of being a blogger? Touch political topics? Show your political color?
Be warned in the jungle. It’s Jurassic Park in Pinoy blogosphere, with dark characters roaming the grounds run by dark societies. I am by no means discouraging you to be a blogger, but consider my short movie presentation…
Reyna Elena has another stalker fan who follows me around. First, he blogged about my delicious affair with an emperor.
Angry with my presidential choice, he turned me into a pig. A freak one. How did I know? He was very nice to remind me through an email he sent me.
He doesn’t want me to miss the pig entry.
Then he pronounced me dead.
Anak siguro to ni Madam Auring, he reincarnated me as a monkey. You see, of all the buzz on the internet, his blog has zero buzz.
Then, my Facebook email lit up again… an email from hell:
Together with Brian Gorrel and Eric , they all blogged that I am paedophile, an illegal immigrant living off of food stamps, and a fugly fat faggot. I’m hell scared they’d start blogging that I’m a straight guy! If that happens, kakapunin ko ang mga to!
These are the risks and perils of blogging and its ugly realities, most especially during election time. Once you start to blog, expect to earn some scorn, contempt and hatred if your views and opinions are not parallel with theirs and/or you don’t join their rah-rah team. They’ll dig up your pictures, credentials, family and all, fabricate lies, soon after online vilification begins.
There is no way of stopping these people. Pure internet bullying. We get that here in B7 all the time and I believe, no one can beat Reyna Elena with the longest and ugliest title of all on Pinoy blogosphere. In fact, I believe there was one blogger who commented to the effect that he will do everything to make sure that Barrio Siete disappears. He will have to wait for another year. I just renewed the hosting fee and moved B7 to a dedicated and high speed server to accommodate haters and hecklers.
I remember when I investigated this alleged Tierra Maria hoax thinking that there was a real estate scam, only to find out that this UK guy concocted a hoax story. I blasted the bloody hell out of this guy. Result? He not only opened dozens of blogs, but also spammed the entire cyberspace about me and several other bloggers with our twisted face and every diatribe and available ridiculous mal adjectives available on mirriam’s dictionary plus more. Did he stop? No. To this day he is still blogging about us.
And then there’s the Anti-Pinoy group who routinely calls Cory Aquino a “bitch”. “Democracy my ass!” they say which I can’t reconcile with their incessant complaining about why I blocked them on B7.
Surprisingly though, online, there is an anti pinoy blogger who has a completely different persona. But offline, there is actually something commendable and honorable with what this blogger is doing, at least on its face and based on what I read from all the links. How do I know? He sent me information on what he does. And get this, when I was working in New Orleans, I had the chance to speak with him over the phone and I told him that his activities in the Philippines were truly commendable. I was even thinking of pitching in.
Then, election came.
Worse, I showed my true color.
Reyna Elena is not the only victim of this all-out online vilification campaign. I heard that they also routinely malign Manuel L. Quezon III. Their current flavor? Lila R. Shahani who they call a pretentious bitch, a moron and “Bombay”, a racist label. She’s now the one who is currently being demonized. Our common denominator? We’re all good looking people hehehe!
Truth to be told, and I have to congratulate these Anti-Pinoy guys for a job well done in terms of increasing readership. Regardless of the quality of their blog content and them educating or mis-informing the voting public (because quality becomes relative during election season, korak?), all of us in Pinoy blogosphere are filling the void that could not be read on the media, heared on the airwaves and see on TV and I’m sure, Anti Pinoy blog has made a tremendous contribution in that aspect.
But!
What I do know, even if this is not supported empirically, online vilification hardly converts undecided voters.
So! Courageous much?!
Keep blogging! Until it hurts!

reynz is one Uragon and a Filipino-American, has many years of public accounting & auditing, broadcast investments, housing tax credits and equity investments as his background. Based in the US, he maintains his personal and humor blog at reyna elena dot com. A graduate of Aquinas U, he went to GWU and Temple U in the United States.

Reynz, you know people are desperate when they resort to these dirty tactics. Who believes Paul Farol anyway? Mabuhay B7!!
@#$%^&*! sino ba yan at nagpapakamatay makuha atensyon mo?
sana lang di sya mamatay sa inggit.
yes they think they’re being smart but they have reduced their human dignity to the level of a baboon scratching its swollen behind.
they call you guys the noynoy taliban, yet look at them. they harass noynoy’s supporters on a personal level, bullying, taunting, in an attempt to scare you into giving up your right to free speech. ano to, mafia? very much in character of their bosses. it’s almost an online equivalent of martial law. yes they have the right to free speech as well, but with every right comes certain responsibilities.
Reynz, you are in the United States. There are laws there that protect you. It’s called LIBEL, and this is defensible in the court of law if you can prove three things:
1. blatant disregard for the truth
2. the damaged person was named, and the damage was published
3. existence of actual malice.
#3 is usually difficult to prove, but in their case, it is everywhere. you would win the libel suit.
get the IP addresses of your attackers, some of them are in the United States. Call your lawyer. You have a solid case.
Sobrang desperado sa inggit lang ang mga yan Reynz. They are trying hard to be intellectuals at nag paka nose bleed kakaingles sa blog nila pero kinabog sila ng barriotic Reyna Elena at Barrio Siete. Pag intellectual ang isang tao kahit barriotic ang approach lalabas at lalabas ang pagka intelihente and that is You reynz.
Reyna, you reign! It amuses me that they actually believe that you’ll vote for their candidate after they have spent their time maligning and insulting you instead of explaining their candidate’s merits.
So, in effect they’re saying that I shouldn’t vote for Noynoy because you are a pig and Lila is a bumbay? Now that kind of reasoning is funny! But what’s funnier? They call it reasoning!
I found Pinoy Buzz’ posts rather funny… in a sick and demented sort of way.
Isa lang ang masasabi ko sa kanila-MAMATAY KAYO SA INGGIT! at least ang mga taga-barrio eh hindi pretentious at hindi self-righteous!!
Well, we all have bigger fish in the sea and can’t worry about these minor players. Too much real stuff to worry about. But please DO NOT go on their sites so they can generate more traffic. That’s the main reason they’re using our names — they want to create controversy.
Reynz, the hyperlinks r not necessary.
Thanks for sharing!
obviously, nagpapansin lang talaga sa yo yan Reynz imagine the message of peace sabay tawa?
they probably think slandering people is just a game. good thing they are so low, we don’t think of even suing because it just might make their day. that’s what they really want, fame.
which is lame.
Hi!
I hate politics and I hate anything that has to do with it but I can’t help myself saying this! BULLYSHIT!
I can’t see anything wrong with blogs about politics, but to demoralise a person like this is unacceptable!
Everybody has their own choices of candidates, but why can’t they just blog something good about their candidates? What have they done for the country, their aims, etc… etc… anything that will sell their candidates? but NO! They attack innocent guys just beacause they try to make a point on what they say!
*Reynz is a pig, oh well, i bet because of intelligence, not ways, but then pigs trained are very clean, cleaner that dogs even, and human without training becomes horrible like the one who wrote this! (or don’t you know that pigs are one of the most intelligent creatures? more intelligent that some humans, and that’s a fact!)hahaha
*A freak,
we all are at some point, whoever attacking reyna is so perfect he must be a *SONxxxxx of a G*xxxMNIT!
*A monkey,
if you say she is, just beware then!
And Renz is dead? you must be joking! She’s a Goddess! hahaha
To the person who wrote the blog about reyna? You’re an as~*xx! However perfect you are, you’re still rotten!
This is my own opinion, I just like blog hopping! Thank you
oooppps!!! sorry for swearing, I got carried away I’ve forgotten to edit. ~feeling bashful~ shame on me!
PF is your fanboy Reynz.

hahaha kakatawa sila! hindi nila alam na ang Reyna Elena ay isang tunay na “Uragon!”. Go Reyna Elena! madami kang tagahanga….keep on blogging!
So Mr. Paul Farol is still at it I see… I’ve long condemned him to my ignore list–the book of the dead. Poor guy, he can’t earn much from his Adsense, got kicked out from a blogging website, and still insists on writing as a living.
No need to mention him Reynz. Nobody misses him anyway! LOL
one way to get attention?
