Yes, you read my opinion right. Oo, this is just mine. Hindi to opinion nang mga tiga-Barrio: I want Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala to run as President in the 2010 Philippine Presidential Elections and I am prepared to start the JAZA, for 2010 Philippine President Movement (JAZA:2010PPM). I bet you, that JAZA:2010PPM sounds like a stock symbol winner on Wall Street, right?

There is no question about Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala’s excellent leadership. At pag me nagtanong, iba-blak ko sa Barrio! Hehehe! Charing lang! Kayo naman!

How do you define success? Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala says:

“Success is not measured by quick and one-time gains but by enduring beliefs and created by a disciplined approach to creating value. Second, success also entails combining profitability with a broader contribution to society.Source.

Fa-flangg! Its all embedded in those two sentences! All I want for now is an expressway that will run from that nice photo-op pan-display lang elevated expressway in Manila all the way to Matnog, Sorsogon plus! Kelan ba talaga sisimulan ang Bicol International Airport?! Ang hirap maging aswang noh?!

Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala became the 1st Filipino to receive the highest achievement award for a graduate of the Harvard Business School as the Management Man of the Year Award. This award is given to distinguished graduates who have contributed significantly to their companies and communities (!!!) while upholding the highest standards and values. It’s given to outstanding men and women who represent the best in the alumni body and inspire all those who aspire to have an impact on business and society. SOURCE: Ewan ko. Tagal na nung nabasa kong magazine.

I have a lot of admiration to the Ayala’s in the Philippines and I am a big fan of Jaime A. Zobel de Ayala. To me, he epitomizes the true leader unlike some leaders out there who are probably just walking in the park because no one is following them.

Honestly, what the Ayala’s have done to the country is unbelievable and it’s interesting why some in the government can’t seem to emulate the leadership qualities of the Ayala’s. A lot of Filipinos probably don’t know this – or are probably so preoccupied in looking for some food on the table, or for more kickbacks, but the Ayala’s have continually made the lives of the Filipinos a lot easier. Agree with me Candida? Naahh… I am not comparing them with the Sy’s. Baka di ako papasukin sa Megamol. Hahaha!

Listen to this interview of him awhile back:

See?! That’s the kind of leader I want. Eloquent, knowlegeable and is the leader who has knowledge on how to propel the Philippine economy in the right direction. Seriously, this is the man who’s been providing employment to Filipinos and not that woman! This is the man who had made our lives easier. Well, except that they’re not in the business of bala and kanyon to sugpo all the gyera mondial sa Mindanao. But, this is the man we need to give the Philippines the umpt and leadership para magkaron tayo nang the right direction in terms of our economy. Why? Above everything else, ang paniniwala ko is that, the problem in the Philippines is rooted on economy at hindi presidential jet. Alam mo yon?! Need I say more?

Hahaha! But, hey! Someone out there! Come with me! Join me! There’s no harm in trying to convince JAZA to run as President. For all we know, he might not even be interested – just like Cory. But we need one true leader. At least, we know we tried to convince him. Create a blog entitled: “Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, for Philippine President Movement” and link up to this entry. U up for it?

;) hahahaha!!!

  • Silver says:

    Hahahhahahha….

NAWALA ANG ANTOK KO AT INIT NG ULO KOOOOOOOO….HAHAHHAH….

    ETO PALA ANG SINASABI MO….hahahhahhahaha…

  • Silver says:

Honestly, what the Ayala’s have done to the country is unbelievable and it’s interesting why some in the government can’t seem to emulate the leadership qualities of the Ayala’s.

I believe that we can make significant changes kahit wala sa government. Tingnan nyo sila – JAZA and Fernando as well as their family. Natransform nila ang mala-Barrio Siete sa makati ngayon to uber MAKATI CITY ngayon.

Matigas ang ulo ko reynz. Hahaha.

  • myepinoy says:

I say, why NOT? sabi ko nga why settle for the lesser-evil, evil and super evil if we can have the good and the best pinoys to come out.

that is what’s good here and with you. your ideas are always ahead of everyone else (hindi ‘why didn’t i think of that?).

    Good luck.

    Mabuhay ka!

  • Reesie says:

Lolz.

They (Ayalas) promote leadership skills to our youth. In fact they have a program called Ayala Young Leader Alliance. They would gather all young leaders of universities and colleges to a leadership camp seminar. I know this because my sister was part of it when she was in college. Ito at may website sila : Ayala Young Leaders

Maganda itong programa na to ng mga Ayala and I believe ang idol ni reynz na idol ko na rin ang nagpsimuno nito. They promote/teach/inculcate to our youth of today the importance of possessing leadership skills. I really like the idea.

    • reynz says:

yeah i like that program reesie, at pag pinagsama mo naman yong program ni gokongwei on entrepreneurship nakuuu!!! i believe, winning combination ang formula nung leadership ni ayala and entrepreneuship ni gokongwei

  • Reesie says:

    To quote AYLC:

AYLC stands for Ayala Young Leaders Congress, a summit that brings together around 70 of the most promising student leaders from colleges and universities from all over the country. The Congress proper, now on its 9th year, is a three-day event involving workshops, lectures, outdoor activities, plenary sessions and discussion designed to hone the students’ leadership skills and potential.

As of the ninth Congress, the Ayala Young Leaders Alliance (the official alumni network of the AYLC) has 654 members still keeping in touch and working together to realize their dreams of creating a better future for our country.

ayy napanood ko yan interview ni ayala matagal na, more than a year. galing nya ano? yun tiga pasig wala sa kalingkingan ni JAZA

  • Irej says:

Very impressive, amazing personality… (at saka ang guwapoh nya.. haaayyy) nya ha ha ha.. uy! kunwari lang yun.

Seriously speaking, if we will base from this facts and for his being successful businessman, i think there is a chance that the Philippine economy will grow. Like what he did at sa pag managed nya sa Ayala group of companies… .(kung!!!! siya ang papalarin na maging presidente)

But the other thing that we must considered is…..dapat din na Pang-MASA… yung naabot din nya ang mahihirap…yung mga maralitang pilipino.

Mahirap na baka ma tsugi ako sa barrio… he he he he

    • reynz says:

well, i guess pagdating sa qualifications and the ability to run the country, tipong you will agree with me based sa sinulat me na wala nang kwestyon di ba?

i mean, how could you question his credentials and compare him with like Lito Lapid or Ramon Revilla? an layo, right?

but i’d agree, 80% nang botantes nates are masa and given that, ini-expect naten also sa candidates na me pull sila sa masa to be able to make para meron silang base

eh kaso, hindi naten alam how the masa will react once nag-declare nang candidacy si JAZA. pano kung ang programs nya answers some of what masa needs – the campaining that will reach out the masa given na matalino yan at nakapaligid mga smart na tao, am sure they will be able to penetrate the masa.

  • Rob Angeles says:

Let’ say technically, he is qualified to run the country pero lam mo naman sa atin, MASA rules.

    • reynz says:

para saken Rob, moot na yong ability nya to rule sorta out of discussion na yon dahil i know that he can. ang maganda nga sa kanya is that his political moves have now been narrowed down to pano nya mape-penetrate ang masa. para saken, kayang kaya yan, kaya lang pag sinabi kong “packaging” nang candidate, yayariin ako dito nang mga nagbabasa hahaha

  • Mel says:

Hahaha!

    • reynz says:

hahaha! bakeeet! let me know! hahaha!

      • Mel says:

Ate Reynz, I’m sure magiging issue ang pagiging Filipino niya dito. Remember FPJ’s Filipino ancestry was questioned when he ran in 2004? No matter how good the person is basta’t may mga taong ayaw siyang maluklok sa posisyon gagawa talaga ng paraan para masira or madisqualify ito.

        • Glo says:

          • reynz says:

            @mel,

pour moi, irrelevant na yong jus sanguini, jus solis, jus dyusko, tigilan nila ako nang kwestyon about citizenship dahil people who would not want JAZA to run will surely do their best para madisqualify sa technicalities para lang yong mga walang qualifications ang makatakbo. but what’s not to like the guy with all his accomplishments? our responsibility is to choose the best who would lead the country to the next level dahil wala nang matinong lider sa bansa naten and it’s pathetic given na meron naman talaga tayong matitinong lider and if the rest of the world recognizes the fact na JAZA is such a great business leader, i honestly believe that he could very well be a great leader for the country. ang responsibility naten eh hanapin ang mga taong ganyan for the good of all of us. in the case of JAZA, indi mo na hahanapin, andyan na sya, nakabalandra na.

          • reynz says:

            @glo!

ay naku! bespren ni fadir yang si Frivaldo!!! he’s been to our barong barong sa barrio siete namen and na-meet ko na yan kasi nakainuman ni fadir yan. yun lang ang tanging koneksyon nang aming la familia sa pulitika. pero tama ka. natanggal pa. leche oo! balik kami sa pagka-unknown! grrr!

          • Glo says:

nakuu…si frivaldo is super favorite at LOVE ni papa ko. kahit wala kami connection sa kanya. di ba nakakatuwa ang “accent” ni frivaldo mag-salita ng bicol? i love it!

papa used to listen to his radio commentary. lahat patutsada kay raul lee. hahahaha! by the way, asawa ni raul ang current governor dito. si sally lee.

;) hahaha.

        • Silver says:

          Mel,

90 percent of Filipinos have foreign descent. In short, puro na tayo mestizos dito. The remaining 10 percent are the indigenous tribes.

  • Mel says:

Kaya nga dito sa bukid namin ay hindi ako qualified tumakbo sa local post because I’m half-British, half-poodle. LOL.

  • Lani says:

Reynz, Hmmm, nice idea, why not coconut diba? Ganun lang naman talaga, try lang tayo ng try until we all die. Heheh. Wishful thinking baga?

    • reynz says:

      @lani,

well, sino ba talaga sa current running presidentiables and right for the job! anak ng weting! they could not even eloquently state their platforms and then you ask them to talk about the economy, puro mga kaeklavuhan sa palengke ang drama! grrrr!

      • Glo says:

;) hahhaa!!!

        • reynz says:

yeah i saw that episode! it was sooooo bakya for one shushal like moi hahaha! kairita! halatang trying hard as ever! nawalan talaga ako nang gana! hahaha!

        • Reesie says:

I though Korina is not bakya but these kind of people would do anything to get what they want kahit magpakabadoy!! yucks!

      • Lani says:

Ang sagot, wala, wala, walaaaaaaaaaa (to the tune of kamikaze’s song). Kahit isa wala. At kahit meron man, its our system ang problema. Heheheh..

        • Glo says:

i agree with you lani. pag hopeless na talaga ang pinas, civil war na dapat para makasimula ng maganda.

all good countries at the moment? they rose from their wars!

          agree?

        • Silver says:

          Lani,

If we are to eliminate corruption, it will be a tall order dahil hindi lang government ang babaguhin, pati na din ang other parts of the society.

Ang tigas pa rin ng ulo ko. Tsitsinelasin na ako mamya ni Reynz. Hahaha.

  • Glo says:

taob islang lahat!! kahit pa sina marimar at fernando jose! ;) wala silang binatbat lahat.

  • benign0 says:

Again, a simple challenge to any presidential aspirant that his supporters should work on:

    Platform, plez

If you want a candidate to come across as serious about his intentions of become leader of the Filipino, he needs to be able to demonstrate that he is able to show us a roadmap of how he will lead the country out of the sh1thole it is currently stuck in.

It’s not hard. In fact I have a simple four-step process for coming up with a world-class platform. Check it out here.

As supporters of a presidential aspirant, it’s your job to make him/her look good. Helping him come up with a coherent platform is one of them. Considering that Zobel is an esteemed alumna of the Harvard Business School, that should not be too tall an order. It’s just plain-and-simple Forward Planning 101.

    • reynz says:

well, benigz, we’re not there yet. hopefully somebody convinces him to run. and hopefully by then, we would know his plans and platform. but i believe that’s peanuts to him. like you said it’s a 101 for him

  • Ajay says:

I have to admit this idea is quite radical, though he’s known for a lot of good deeds.

    • reynz says:

that’s true. we’re stuck with these lunatics whose best bills that they could come up with are holidays, extension of holidays, change the name of the streets, more holidays, rename the street again and if they’re not doing this, making sure that they get a certain % on government contracts. grrrrr!

  • Amadeo says:

If there are enough people who want a Zobel-Ayala to run for an elective office, why not pick one who is more visible and known to the public – the younger brother, Fernando, who is also married to a known entity, a daughter of Dante Silverio?

Fernando is the brother more known and in touch with Ayala’s many labor-intensive enterprises like BankPI and the other financial institutions.
