Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey: TV boxing’s most annoying event

14 March 2010 13 Comments

Gawd! I remember Manny’s fight with Oscar de la Hoya! Nag-no-nobena ako na wag masira ang cute na muka nya (Oscar)!

I’m not really into boxing, but if it’s Manny Pacquiao, my face is plastered on the TV screen. But last night with Clottey? Unbelievably – one of the most annoying moments in TV boxing history.

Of course before the boxing event, the media bombarded us with screaming headlines like Joshua Clottey? Bigger, taller and has the edge!!

Wrong!

The media was just playing on all of us to make it appear that the Lord of the Boxing Ring is in trouble.

And so the fight begun… hindi tuloy ako nakapag-blog!

Pacquiao punished Clottey!

Pacquiao demolished Clottey with his blazing speed!

Pacquiao’s virtuoso performance no match to Clottey!

Pacquiao’s no contest to Clottey!

Pacquiao this!

Pacquiao that!

Winner! Pacquiao.

Well

As I sat at the bar after the fight, I wondered if that was really a fight. It appeared to me that Clottey just showed up to collect! And Clottey collected $1.25 million dollars simply for running away!

Hell, I can do much better than that! And a lot cheaper pa! Like, half a million dollars perhaps?!

For all it’s worth, it’s an “ok” show.

Congratulations to Manny.

Psst! Manny! Dump Villar!

He might ran after your winnings for more ads!

Hahaha!
