Ilocos Representative Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., said he hopes Senator Manny Villar will allow the burial of his father and namesake in the Libingan ng mga Bayani (Heroes’ Cemetery) if Villar wins the presidency. “It’s a right,” Marcos said at the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines forum in Makati on Wednesday morning. He said his father was a former president and a World War II veteran who deserves to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.(Source: Inquirer Politics)
Will Noynoy Aquino allow a burial at the Libingan nang mga Bayani?
Aquino told Ilocanos that if elected president, he would form a commission to study the proposal to bury the remains of the late President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig. Responding to a question, Aquino said, “We will study the matter and if necessary, form a commission on this matter. I’m not going to be a dictator on the issue. We will weigh the sentiments of various sectors,” said Aquino, who attended Gov. Grace Padaca’s Ugnayang Bayan.(Source: Philstar)
