With that long list of his so-called 'accomplishments,' did they create a dent in the corrupt practices in govt starting from the top departments and bureaus down to the barangay level? Did they create a dent in the economic life of his constituents? His mission, he said,is to continue the legacy of his parents, i.e., to fight for freedom and democracy. What does he mean by that? Where was Noynoy to defend the rights of those farmers/workers in Hacienda Luisita who were subsequently put away to oblivion? I don't really wish to criticize Noynoy for his inaction. My concern today is, that pattern of ineffective administration in govt can project to another level of responsibility which in a way can create more damage than good. I don't question is goodness and being clean. The country today needs more than a clean leader; it needs somebody who gets things done and inspires others to get things done. The nation needs somebody who has the talent to analyse and the will to plan ahead and not rely solely on his advisers and political supporters. While being seriously committed to do the top job, a good leader must also have a good sense of humour. Our challenge today is to find that kind of leader. Noynoy’s accomplishments?
