OFW’s Dreams Shattered By Mistaken Identity!

It really pays to have an uncommon sounding surnames nowadays because you will never know what the government do should you become an OFW in the near future.
Bakit kamo? O heto ang great example!!!
Inquirer reported that:
AUTHORITIES IN QATAR HAVE ARRESTED Jason Aguilar, the National Bureau of Investigation said yesterday.
But the bureau was quick to clarify that the man who was picked up by the police was not road rage suspect Jason Aguilar Ivler.
Ivler was tagged as the suspect in the death of Renato Victor Ebarle Jr., the son of a Malacañang official, over a traffic altercation last year.
“Apart from their names, their birth dates were also quite similar that’s why Qatar authorities thought that they were one and the same person. But Aguilar has already been cleared. He’s not the Jason whom we have been searching for,” said Magno.
Lawyer Angelito Magno, chief of the NBI Special Action Unit, said Aguilar, who has been working as a welder in Doha for only a month, was arrested on Dec. 31 because he was mistaken for Ivler.
Okay na lang sana para sa OFW na ito ang nangyari mga ka-barrio dahil it was a simple case of mistaken identity. Kaya lang:
But just the same, Magno said Aguilar would be deported to the Philippines today as ordered by Qatar authorities “to erase doubts and to further ascertain his identity.”
Is this stupidity or what?
And besides, the surname of the real suspect is Ivler and not Aguilar, right? So, bakit ninyo pinayagang ma-deport?
Tapos heto lang masasabi ninyo sa interview:
In a phone conversation, Ebarle Sr. offered apologies to Aguilar for what he has gone through, which the OFW accepted.

that’s it?! “SORRY NA LANG?!” ang putang yon! ~!@#$%
nag-ngi-ngit-ngit talaga ako sa news na to! napaka-engot naman nung nag-imbistiga! pucha oo! kung me Scotland Yard, etong mga imbestigador eh Smokey Trash naman.
hindi ko ma-take na wala man lang damages sa OFW considering na mahirap lang to at nangutang pa nang placement! susko! ano ba!
@Reynz – Based on my research may update na sa kawawang OFW welder.
When contacted, a senior official with the embassy of Philippines here said that they came to know about the incident yesterday. “The embassy will take all the possible steps to clear the worker’s name from the black list of Qatar and other GCC before helping the Qatari authorities to enable him a smooth revisit to Qatar, if he really wants to return to Doha,” the official told The Peninsula.

Pero walang nabanggit as far as monetary damages is concern. Very sad.
Ganun na lang ‘yon?! OMG! I think the government agencies in charge should do something about this.
Mukhang ang nagyari kasi ay sinampolan ang kasong ito ni Jason to prove to the public that the local police agencies are working together with interpol. Tsk tsk
what can i say. boplaks naman kasi mga pulis dito. hinuli at dineport agad.
I doubt that will the case, I a friend in Dubai whose wife was detained for “harboring illegals”. They cleared her and after 8 years when she was pregnant and were about to fly back home, they detained her again for a few days in the airport.
All because her name was still on the record. Stupid people.
WHATTTT???
Nangyari na ito before! Ano ba yan, what the hell is happening to our government? Ganito na ba talaga ang sistema?
I pity the innocent victims…tsk..tsk…tsk…
Sad to say pero there is just no point in reasoning with the arabs. It’s not our government that’s at fault, it’s given na inutile talaga sila, kundi yung local government nila.
There are worse cases I encountered in my one year of staying there and sad but true marami ang di naibabalita and marami wala nagagawa ang gobyerno natin.
@Archon Digital – But our government should have investigate further before they deported Jason Vivar Aguilar. Hindi sana nangyari ang ganito.
Just imagine, hindi na kasalanan nung tao pero siya pa rin magsa-suffer not only today but in the future pa pala.
Hay, what a nightmare!
Snow!
Aguilar’s and Ivler’s fingerprints were “almost the same”, according to the NBI, and they are almost of the same age, 26 and 29, respectively. Nevertheless, the dark-skinned Aguilar’s physical features do not match Ivler’s.
MGA TANGA!!!! WALANG FINGERPRINT ANG MAGKAPAREHAS!!! NO FINGERPRINT IS THE SAME!!! AT TINGNAN NYO NGA ANG HITSURA NG PINAGHINALAAN NYO: ANG LAYOOOOOO!!!!!
ANG TATANGA TANGA TANGA TANGA NYOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Tapos dumidistansya kayo sa KAGAGUHAN na ito?!?! Aba!
I concur Silver.
Pero ang totoo eh, case of “up to the highest level of stupidity” ng mga locals yang mga yan.
