Calamity diplomas???

Say Chiz!

I was reading this news story by Neal Cruz of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. It’s about Chiz Escudero who had already turned korenta and is already eligible to run as El Presidente de las Islas Filipinas. But curiously she said, no hay anuncio por todos diez diaz already mga kabarrio, so, que pasa senor?!

Im fak, everyone is already campaigning hard and mighty. Noynoy and Mar is out there. Erap is running again with Jojo Binay. Anyone wants to be VP to Gibo Teodoro? Ayaw ata ni Vilma eh! Si Nora ba available?! He’s still looking! Si Loren Legarda naman is the typical, she’s not running-she’s running-no she’s not-oh yes she is!

Anyway, according to the news:

“According to his aides whom I asked, the reason is that Chiz has a bigger social conscience than his rivals. He doesn’t want to be politicking while many of his countrymen are still suffering from the devastation wrought by storms “Ondoy” and “Pepeng.” In fact, with a third typhoon, “Ramil,” about to hit Northern and Central Luzon again Monday or Tuesday, Chiz may again delay the announcement of his presidential candidacy. (Source: Why Chiz has not yet made an announcement.)”

Oo nga naman. Mga opportunista nga naman yong mga ibang nakita naten dyan sa Facebook, flickr and so many other pictures. Im fak, akala ko nga binenta na ang Philippine National Red Cross.

“The recent crises have shown the true colors of our politicians—especially the “presidentiables,” say Chiz’s aides. “Opportunism has been the order of the day,” they said, “but Chiz is not an opportunist.” Even while many of our countrymen were waist-deep in the floods, politicians were using the twin disasters to project themselves, they said. Not Chiz. (Source: Why Chiz has not yet made an announcement.

Ok. Nuff of that. Chiz is not opportuniztik. But of course, we’re looking for the right leader of our turd world kawntri. The one who will lead us out of this lecheng purgatoryong kinasa-saksakan naten. Or impiernong puno nang tubig?!

Anyway… typically, I’d look into what these guys are planning to do para nga makaharbat den tayo nang salbabidang broom broom just like one dobol Oh 7 that Richard Gutierez had para we could make alpas as swiftly as we could sa impiernong katubigang to and be pers world. And so, according to the news, here were some of what Chiz was proposing:

1. The youth, especially those in the unaffected areas, to volunteer in relief and rehabilitation efforts.
2. Flood victims to be employed in rehab projects to provide them with livelihood to support their families.
3. Farmers who lost their crops to the floods to be provided with assistance so they can plant new crops.
4. Tax and debt amnesty be extended to flood victims.
5. Big landowners to donate land for relocation of those displaced by the floods.
6. Big business to invest and build factories and set up businesses in relocation sites to provide employment to the victims.
7. Establish permanent relocation centers so that students do not lose the use of their schools every time there is a disaster.
8. Send the engineering battalions of the Armed Forces to affected areas to speed up the rehabilitation of roads, bridges, schools and other infrastructure projects.

ALL CHECKED! I love him.

ALTHOUGH… ~raise right hand~

Can I make a suggestion?

Where is PCGG? The presidential consumisyon of very, very good government? Di ba they have collected most of Marcos millions? They can put them in a pot to help these flood-ravage population. Here’s my suggestion on how to pool funds.

  1. Ask Imelda Marcos to sell her OUR jewelries.
  2. Sell those houses in San Francisco.
  3. Make hati for all the commission added to government projects. Wag naman kayong swapang!
  4. Hey! Where are the Arroyos?! They can sell some of those shares? I’m not talking about Spratlys. I heard they have so many foundations. Errr… not cement. Well… maybe.
  5. What about church land properties?! Isanla muna yon if they don’t want them sold!

Ok. Like this is going to happen.

Let’s continue.

“Chiz also proposed that the Department of Education grant students credit for this semester or grading period as a response to classes lost due to the two typhoons that ravaged the country. Critics immediately pounced upon and distorted the proposal, calling it the grant of “calamity diplomas.” Unfair, say Chiz’s aides, and explained in detail Chiz’s proposal, to wit: (I’m only listing 2. For the rest visit this link: (Source: Why Chiz has not yet made an announcement.)”

1. The granting of passing grades will apply only to students in areas devastated by Ondoy and Pepeng.
2. The proposal won’t be for the entire school year but only for the current semester or grading period. There was never any mention of mass acceleration or promotion.

TEKA LANG.

It occurred to me, Jove Francisco blogged this on his FB. You have to read the re-axes.

Chiz Ondoy Proposal 1

So now the question: If your kid is in one of these schools, would you like to receive one calamity diploma?
