I listened to the whole thing. This was really nice and to think na I was planning to do one podcast, I can’t top this off! hahaha! I love it when Cory said something like there aren’t gonna be any favors to friends, relatives and political chorvalais. What gives?! Parang tinira pa si Gloria with the designation and/or appointment ni Lani Mercado! Can you imagine?!

I finished it bluep until she said “Paalam…”

    • bluepanjeet says:

Good Morning. I’m glad you like it Kapitana. Actually madami pa ako gusto sana isama kaya lang talaga hahaba sya. Strange ano, it seems that even from the grave she is fighting for democratic change.

OO, Her speech and her interviews are actually antithesis of the woman in the pasig river. Inquirer editorial even tagged her as “Madame Machiavelli” – leading the country amorally. Listening to Cory’s speech would think that no way that the woman is pasig’s speeches could top what she had spoken 2 decades ago.

  • darbs says:

    base!
I did not listen yet. submit muna.

  • darbs says:

    Take note lang.

“Tie a yellow ribbon” song…. sing along!

Tie a yellow ribbon ’round the old oak tree
    It’s been three long years
    Do you still want me?
If I don’t see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree

    “I’m coming home!”

“Tie a yellow ribbon on the old oak tree!”

hahaha! puti ang suot… DILAW PALA!

    Listen uli…

    Interesting…tanong, “What if?”

    Song

    Karangyaan,

simplicity…Cory Aquino, the anti-thesis of Imeldific effect.

    Justice for one…justice for all…

    AMEN

    bloop in cooperation with baryosiyete.com

    Sa huli may…TAKTALAOOK!

    Ang galing!

    • bluepanjeet says:

Hahaha Drbs, you could write another post, maybe the trasncript of the podcast ahahaha. Anyhow thanks for taking time in listening. This is for Cory, A celebration of her life and faith.

  • darbs says:

  • malensky says:

alam kong kinareer mo ito kaya i’ll listen to it later.

    thanks bords!

    • bluepanjeet says:

@Malen especially the last part. get a hanky.

      • darbs says:

        • bluepanjeet says:

@Darbs, honestly last night, i mean kanina pala at around 2 am after finishing the upload, I told Kapitana that it was hard for me to record this especially the last part. I almost broke down myself. I had to pause and start all over again many times on the very last part because my voice was cracking. I don’t want to sound an emotional brat thats why I kept on starting over and over again till I finally composed myself. I dont know what came over me but I think everytime I say the words “mabuhay po kayong mga pilipino” my voice fails me.

          Hanky indeed.

  • mtoni says:

grrrrr! error opening file at ala din pagasa makapasok ako sa bahay mo.
    kuya blue pano naman ako?

    • bluepanjeet says:

Hello Toni, Im so sorry, as I said before I dont know the reason why you are unable to access even this podcast outside my blog. I thought after moving out from my old server to my new one you could already access my blog. Im so sorry I had no known way. Ask Tita Cory, maybe she’ll pray for a miracle.

  • maxi says:

I was so touched on the musical scoring. “I am a president of a 3rd wold country…(di ko memorize masyado ano karugtong)” wala akong nakitang ganun sa mga leaders ng bansa ngayon.

    • bluepanjeet says:

@Maxi – ah yes the part where she says, “I am a president but not of a rich country”

The problem with leaders today is that they thought they are monarchs of this third world country. Once in power, they can toy wit their terms of which the people gave them and limited them. The same term they greedily want to extend. I hope Cory’s death would be as meaningful as that of Ninoy in a sense that these past and current presidents should fear not only the power of the people, but the power of death and destiny which will decide either to place them on the right side or the wrong side of history.

I ask, will they ever experience this same love from the people when they die? hmmm I doubt it.

  • BURAOT says:

imagine… tinapos ko. wehehheeh. paalam tita cory.

  • yami says:

    Pakinggan ko ito maya Bluep.

    • bluepanjeet says:

Okay ate Yami. They your time. Laba ka muna dyan hehe

      • darbs says:

        Palace-calls-for-end-to-Charter-change-bid

        Parang nalito ako konti.

@Bloop, hawak hawak ko ngayon ay Filipino Times & Asian Review FREE COPY.

Sa Opinyon Section RAZOR’S EDGE: Jose Mari Mercader sa kanyang article MALACANANG:WHAT UNLAWFUL ORDER?

        Sinabi nya, I blockquote;

Another puppet of Gloria, Congressman Danilo Zuarez, said, “If the Charter change pushes through, it is because our constituents want it, not because the President says so, as Cruz and his fellow critics watn to make ti appear.”

  • bluepanjeet says:

UPDATE: Palace calls for end to Charter change bid To show respect for Cory Aquino

    http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/inquirerheadlines/nation/view/20090803-218499/Palace-calls-for-end-to-Charter-change-bid

They should know better since the people is very very emotional and a push for the charter change when the country is mourning, as in grieving severely, would be a political suicide, perhaps maybe, a sudden end for the Arroyo’s reign, months short.

    • Reynz says:

Bakit hindi na lang ARROYO RESIGN?! hahaha!

      • bluepanjeet says:

@Reynz – Haha. I heard from an interview that even on the last days daw ni cory, her stand was firm against the woman of pasig river, turn around to do good or step down. That’s coming from a woman who is on the brink of death. Bravery and Gallantry to the highest level of human comprehension

        • Reynz says:

Grrr!!!!

          • bluepanjeet says:

You know why? He is the male version of Kris aquino during the 80’s. It was said that Kris was saddened that her mom’s term would be over and she really wanted to stay in malacanang, sadly cory is not that pompous and selfish.

The only difference is Mikey’s uncharming mom, is as greedy as him. Hindi pa sila namamaytay but I can honestly say that history has already placed them beside Ferdinand Marcos.

Its such a blow on the ego when your mom tried so hard to have a photo op with obama and not even a mainstream media in the US have noticed that you were in town, yet thousands of miles across the pacific, a woman who peacefully died in her bed made it to the frontpage of the new york times, the same time where the woman of the pasig river was struggling to be noticed by the press in the US.

If there is no God, then let these coincidence proclaim that there is.

          • Reynz says:

hindi lang si Mikey, blue! i hope i did not lose that article about one bill na Dato was trying to pass about assembly. di ka na raw pwede mag-rally sa tapat nang bahay nung legislator or pulitiko, in other words, dun ka sa Luneta mag -rally. kundi ba naman ewan

      • darbs says:

        @Reynz,

        Arroyo ALIS DIYAN!

        ***

        sabi pa nya, i blockquote;

I played in the rejection of Diosdado Macapagal’s quest for a second term and the election to the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos.

Naging sikat daw sa kapanahonan nya.

        • darbs says:

          Ang Alis Diyan

In fact may lyrics pa daw of the theme song

sabi pa ni Greg B. Macabenta

I even wrote the lyrics of the theme song adapting the melody of the folk ditty, Planting Rice or Magtanim hindi biro.

          Magkapangulo’y di biro, ang mamuno’y di laro;

ANO BAAAA!

    • bluepanjeet says:

@Darbs, I will ask the official card reader and fortune teller of OTWOMD, si Madame Nostra to prophesy for us the lot of Glory and Imeldy hahaha

I just hope this statement is lasting. Baka mamaya pakulo lang nila ito.

      • darbs says:

        @Bloop, you have a point.
        Sino nga ba ang magtitiwala.
        Sa bruhang walang isang salita
        Naumpisahan na nila
        Pa chareng muna…
        At sa huli babawiing muli…

        Proof?

“I will not run for president in 2004!”

        2004 came.

        At nag “HELLO GARCI!” pa!

        Kantahan kaagad ng…

        Ako ay sinungaling…
        Ako ay singaling…
        Sinungaling ay ako…

        Kami pala.

        Sabay bunot ng kanyang paputok.
        Ano ngayon?
        Aangal kayo?

It reminded me of many things..At di pa ako tapos makinig. Live commenting ito LOL!

    • bluepanjeet says:

@Rob – tol same here. It took me at least 5 hours to finish the recording because I had to pause because there are so many instances that I almost broke down. In the middle of my talk, my voice cracks so I have to start all over again so that I wouldnt sound like an emotional fan. That Part of the Handog ng Pilipino sa mundo was goosebump generating.

      • Rob Angeles says:

Alam mo pre, when I started blogging, as much as possible, I tried not to write about politics or how our system back home works, Because it stinks and am not proud of it. But that damn song, that freakin nolgastic song, reminded me of how our freedom was restored.

Sometimes, I ask myself what to do. I guess its time to fight for our freedom again. PInoy style!!!

        • bluepanjeet says:

But then again we can do anything for our country in my own little way. Yung pang-aalaska ko sa mga political issues, its my own way of protest. No plackards, no banners, no marching in the streets. Just using my pen and my haughtiness and i tell you, the message is far reaching than the street protest itself.

Pinoy kasi creative eh. And I think this is what we need this day, not just empty shouting on the streets. we should defy an administration that threatens the freedom and the constitution with our creative outbursts hahaha

  • ajay says:

    Nice. Congrats Bluep!

  • Glo says:

bluep: pinakinggan ko ng buong-buo ang podcast mong ito. u did a great job!

the best talaga si tita cory…wala syang katulad!

  • chuva says:

    Well done Bluep! Well done!

  • yami says:

Salamat for sharing this.

    • Reynz says:

O ayan, just to make a difference between the most hated Glo, Yami just called you Ate Glo(w) hahahaha!

    • bluepanjeet says:

Ate Yami thanks for taking time. Its not easy to spare some time especially if its longer than an hour. Thank you for the compliment pero mukhang ako ata ang bingi dahil di ako nagagandahan sa boses ko LOl

Oh.. that magkaisa is a very rare copy.

  • Glo says:

yung iba naman G-lo-w-r-i-a na very sleng ang accent! ;) hahahaha!!!!

  • Mahalia says:

this podcast changed my view of Cory to a brighter and better light. She is one woman that had the guts to pursue the dream of the collective. I pray that even upon her death that we remember a hero who handed democracy out of love for her man and her people.

    • bluepanjeet says:

@Mahalia – thats actually the reason why i did this special episode.

Mahalia, those were beautiful words that you left. Thank you… For Ninoy and Cory…

  • dFish says:

This must be historic Bluep at the height of the wake…Regardless though, this is a WOW for me…

  • dFish says:

Still in the middle of the podcast. Darbs – you can multitask hehe…

  • dFish says:

I enjoy most especially the replayed speeches. Very principled and a real showdown of democracy. More power to you Bluep and Barrio Siete…
