Political mergers. To create a new and higher standards of political leadership.

Camarines Sur Representative Luis Villafuerte has resigned from the Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (Kampi) party. He was the party president. La Kapitana del Barrio Siete is not part of this merger.

Anyway, his party – Kampi Party was supposed to merge with the ruling administration party Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats. Who presided the merger? Gloria Arroyo.

Even former President Ramos, the chairman emeritus of Lakas-CMD was a no show. Pangasinan Representative Jose de Venecia, who resigned last year as Lakas president and was appointed president emeritus, resigned from his post on the eve of the merger.

Why did Villafuerte resigned? He is against the merger. Reason? Important issues should be addressed for it to succeed in unifying the parties and resolving wrangling on the local level. Read: He wants the top post after the merger. Eh ano fa nga ba?! Haller!

You think?!

Understand that waiting in the wings on the newly merged Lakas-Kampi-CMD is Sec Gilbert Teodoro who is very firm on his presidential ambitions! He was in attendance of course! This party of course is expected to be one formidable force in the presidential election next year

What happens to Villafuerte? He would be an independent and might seek reelection as a guest candidate of a different party. Hahaha!

Huh?! Just how many of these mergers have happened in the past?! Anybody knows?

What happened to KBL when it merged to what party was that again?!

What happened to UNIDO when it merged to what party was that again?!

What happened to LABAN when it merged to what party was that again?!

Get my point?!

All these mergers is not what they proclaim to be what it is as what Speaker Prospero Nograles is now saying with yet another merger:

This party is the “new face in Philippine politics that aims to create a new and higher standard of political leadership, a political marriage of vision to raise level of political activity towards producing the next President of the Republic.”

Yet along all these hasty mergers, someone was forgotten. And he’s pissed. The former President Fidel Ramos who was Lakas founding chair emeritus. He snubbed the ceremony. He was supposed to be there to deliver an inspirational speech.

Political mergers. To create a new and higher standards of political leadership.

Really?!

“Political mergers. To create a new and higher standards of CORRUPTION!”

    *Good morning mula sa Dubai!

    • reynz says:

To create a new and higher standards of CORRUPTION!”

hehehhe ano baaa! napasecond demotion ako nang disoras hahaha

  • mel beckham says:

This merger sucks. Literally. It sucks the life of both Kampi and Lakas. There’s no such thing as ‘the new face of Philippine politics’, kahit itanong niyo pa kay vicki belo. It’s thesame old faces but with new clothing. Hindi ko sinabing better clothing ha. Hehehe

Ate Glow believes this will make them a formidable party next year. Oh well, good luck na lang sa kanya.

I wonder anong masasabi at gagawin ng opposition noh?

    Sad.

  • Rob Angeles says:

Errr..What standards? Oh! Those standards. Standards that suck. Until now, these same old faces haven’t done anything significant to bring good things to the Philippines.

And now a merger? Should we believe that they will bring a new face in Philippine politics? Hell No! If these guys are just doing their job, we wouldn’t be doing this sacrifice of being away from people who are so dear to us.

But it does make sense. A strong party in a weak country. Leche sila!

  • Silver says:

    Asus.

    Political marriage. KALOKOHAN.

IGNORE.

  • Chi says:

merge? marriage? in any which way politics sucks! they only merge because they need more power to corrupt! hahaha! wawa nman pilipens.tsk tsk tsk

    • reynz says:

hehehe, then, maglalaho rin ang party na yan once nakaupo na ang bida. then it’s time for him to create his own party. tsk! tsk! tsk!

  • BURAOT says:

the multi party system in our country is a sham. the whole political system is corrupt. “turncoatism” is normal due to lack of integrity, honor, and delicadeza from these supposed leaders.

  • reynz says:

and i guess that’s exactly what Villafuerte is going to do

  • Dinah says:

“to create a new and higher standard of political leadership”? sino ang pinagloloko nila!
