Preview magazine’s January-February issue with Jinkee Pacquiao on the cover
Mukhang tahimik pa yata ang buong barrio noh. Malamang may hangover pa ang iba nating kababayan. Hangover sa celebration at inuman, hangover sa vacation at hangover sa lakwatsa. Juice ko, kahit ako nga eh ayaw nang bumalik sa trabajo dahil tinatamad pa at gusto pang i-extend ang bakasyon. Hahaha!
To start the year with a bang, eto, tingnan niyo kung sino ang nasa January-February issue ng Preview magazine.
It’s none other than the first lady of boxing herself, the lovely Jinkee Pacquiao!
Oh ‘di ba, ang ganda ng lola niyo.
Teka, ‘di ba fashion magazine ang Preview? Mukhang hindi ko pa naman nakikita si Aling Jinkee as a stylish woman noh. Oo nga suki na siya ng Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton at kung ano pang major fashion labels but does that equate to being fashionable and stylish? For me ha, medyo odd and off ang choice ng editorial team ng naturang magazine on choosing her to be on the cover. Aminin, may appearances na rin siya na baduy ang suot niya. Perhaps the fact that she’s very controversial lately ay wala na akong makitang anggulo (fashion-wise) to justify her being on the cover. Well, kung ano man ang explanation and artistic chorvaloo nila kung bakit si Aling Jinkee ang napili nila ay I’m sure pinag-isipan at pinag-debatehan din nila ito ng matagal.
In fairness kay Aling Jinkee ha, medyo on the right track na rin ang choice niya of clothing lately. Siguro may stylist na ang lola niyo. Dapat lang talaga magkaroon siya ng glam squad noh kasi you’ll never know who’s gonna photograph her. I’m sure pinagkakaguluhan na rin siya like her hubby.
By the way, I don’t like the fact that this cover is way too photoshopped that I did not recognise her at first look. Preview always does this on every issue. Hinay-hinay lang naman sa pagretoke dahil nagmumukha nang mannequin ang mga celebrities on the cover.
I think this issue is on the newsstands already so you might want to grab a copy kung interesado kayo dahil malamang madali itong maubos. Kasi most likely papakyawin din yan ni Pacman. Charing!

Mel is is the ‘gurl’ behind “The Misadventures of Mel Beckham”. ‘She’ graduated with a double major in Management and Entrepreneurship. ‘She’ grew up in the city but now lives in the bukid near barrio siete juggling work as a farm manager, office secretary, messenger, construction worker, housemaid, make-up artist and babysitter. Despite ‘her’ busy schedule, ‘she’ finds the time to blog in between work, and errands using ‘her’ primitive mobile phone. ‘She’ plans to take ‘her’ MBA soon but ‘her’ multiple jobs prevent ‘her’ from doing so unless going to school will get ‘her’ paid to pay for ‘her’ utangs.
Before ‘she’ dies, ‘she’ hopes of owning a pair of Louboutins, and landing on the cover of Vogue, kahit sa Vogue India lang. Whichever comes first.
susyalen na nag ateng. k in the fashion industry? wala pa talaga di ba.. siguro sumasakay ang preview.. e kesa nga naman si krista ang ilagay nila sa cover hehe..
masyadong maganda dito ang lola mo.. if not for the the obvious boxing ring, hindi mo iisipin na sya nga
Oo nga naman, carry na si Jinkee, huwag lang ang malanding Krista na super sa kabaduyan. At least si Jinkee all dressed up in designer labels unlike the latter. Haha
Sobrang photoshop naman ang picture ni Jinkee dito. Look at the bridge of the nose and the contours of the face! Sobrang gumanda si Jinkee, almost unrecognizable.
Pero in fairness, bagong rebond dito lowla ninyo. Mala-Pantene commercial ang dating ng kanyang buhok… ~LOL~

agree with pehpot, sikat lang sila ngayon. pero in fairness kay jinkee, she looks nice naman. hindi naman siya trying hard e. with some help, she can really be sosyalen! may pera na e.
from a far i thought some new breakthrough young actress, eh nabasa ko name niya naloka ako. i knew she did a photoshoot with Preview pero hindi ko inakala na magiging cover pala ang lola. nagbago na yata ang preference ng Preview in choosing their covergirl.

well, Preview is the ‘best selling fashion magazine’ but with this cover, best selling yes, fashion magazine no. depends on how you define fashion.

ok lang. kahit naman inedit lang un pix, sadya naman may tintago na rin syang kagandahan although naenhance lang sa pagbebelo nya. ang talagang pangit eh hindi kayang pagandahin ng gandang kung basta belo belo lang maliban nalang kung talagang full plastic surgery.
one thing, FOR ME, fashionista doesnt mean na sunod ka sa uso, or is not necessary that the way you look eh magustuhan ng lahat ng tao. fashion for me is your own fashion. whats beautiful for you, and then later on, have the power to inspire other person na gayahin ang way ng pagdadamit mo.
para lang yung mga designer, minsan ang wiweird ng designs nila at for me mapapanget, but thats their own style. and that way, naiinfluence nila ang ibang taong maniwala na yun ang magandang fashion.. siguro its the name na nagpapamindset satin na yun nga ang uso at yun ang maganda. halimbawa ang brown bag ng Louis Vuitton. For me its not stylish, mas stylish pa nga yung nakikita ko sa bangketa kung minsan. yun nga lang, dahil may big name yung brand eh iisipin na natin na yun ang stylish kasi yun ang sikat.
para lang si lady gaga at avril lavigne at britney spears.. they would look jologs/weird most of the times pero yun ang fashion nila at naiimpluwensahan nila ang fans nila kasi may malalaking pangalan sila.
feeling ko ang way para maging real fashion icon is not for you to dress up whats uso, what looks good, but dress up the way you want and having the power to influence other people no matter how jologs you may look like. its their name name na nagmamindset satin na fashionista sila hindi ang way ng pagdadamit nila. siguro may mga fans narin si jinkee at naiimpluwensyahan na nya mga ito without us knowing it.
