Proposed 10-year expiry of marriage
Here’s a case of problem resolution.
What’s the problem?
Marriage annulment cases are clogging up our courts.
Margie Tajon, president of the 1-Babae Astig Aasenso (1-ABAA) party-list group said statistics at the Solicitor General’s office showed that in 2008, there were 8,000 annulment cases reported, excluding those still being deliberated in courts. “Marriage annulment cases are clogging up our courts and we have to find a means to address the problem,” she said.
Solution?
10-year expiry on marriage.
To allow a couple to reassess the status of their relationship and would make both parties careful in offending each other if they want the marriage to last.

Social workers?
Sabay sabay tayo ladies and gentlemen:

hahaha paborito mo talaga ang kantang “tukso”! kaya nga kung mag dedesisyon na mag pakasal, siguraduhin na ang papasukan ay hindi lang puro kaligayahan…..mas madaming adjustment, how you share money and expensses. Pag meron ng mga anak….how you adjust doing sex! hahaha but most of all…you must have a lot of patience, understanding and support to each other! para sa ganun, you don’t need to file annullment! What the sense of getting married kung hindi nyo i wo-work out ang inyong differences di ba? better stay single at tumikim tikim na lang paunti unti hehehe.
and one more thing i would like to say…kung ipapasa ang bill na ito, please, dapat walang bunga ang relasyon nila in ten year period na yan! kawawa ang mga bata…they are the one who will suffer sa mga kalokohang ganito! if you are not responsible and matured enough to be a parent, so don’t bring an inocent child in this world! mag pakapon ang mga lalaki at mag patali ang mga babae! period.
it is an option.. but a has a less than 5% winnable option.
I’m not really sure kung seryoso sila dito or para lang maka-gain ng media mileage para maiboto sila in the coming elections.
If I say it in a meaner way, here’s how it goes….
Why not? I agree with ABAA, renew the contract after ten years kung magtatagal pa ang couple.
i like, pero ang tagal huh, 10 yrs, di ba pedeng yearly tapos renew nalang?jejeje.
every year, diba mas bongga?
asan na ba si ateng chuva?
Maybe the right Bill to propose is, if the couple had separated for 10 years already and no way to save the marriage anymore, especially that after 10 years of separation both parties have their own happy relationship with others, most have children already, yet even both party want their marriage to be annuled they cannot coz, 10 years separation is not valid ground for marriage annulment at present. This makes both parties suffer only because they entered into marriage in the past that they regret later. Andami ng ganitong situation at present, which needs to be taken action. Thats is the reason why statistic shows that for the past three years record of annulment is increasingly fast than records of getting married. Coz, it is cheap and easy to get married yet so hard and expensive to get annulment even both parties cannot anymore stand and endure each other due to some painful reasons and had laready long separated. Hope one of this days, Law on marriage annulment will be based from real life situation, not scripture in bible only, that make many lives painful and sorrow at present here in Philippines.
