Shed no tears my friend, the Philippines will be 1st world!
Shed no tears my friend…
The Philippines will be 1st world in 20 years!
Barrio Siete will become a metropolis.
And that’s what I remember from SONA 2009…
“As a country in the path of typhoons and in the Pacific Rim of Fire, we must be as prepared as the latest technology permits to anticipate natural calamities when that is possible; to extend immediate and effective relief when it is not….The mapping of flood- and landslide-prone areas is almost complete. Early warning, forecasting and monitoring systems have been improved, with weather tracking facilities in Subic, Tagaytay, Mactan, Mindanao, Pampanga.” Source: SONA 2009
“I did not become President to be popular. To work, to lead, to protect and preserve our country, our people, that is why I became President. When my father left the Presidency, we were second to Japan. I want our Republic to be ready for the first world in 20 years.” Source: SONA 2009
You’ll have a house that will look like this…
A Boracay Mansion or even a palace in the sky, away from the floods…
So, don’t cry for me Argentina!~!@#$%^&*(~!
The Philippines will be 1st world country.
Shed no tears, my friend…
Tahan na kaibigan…

@Reynz
I can’t help but to shrug my head while reading the tidbits of the SONA 2009 again and looking at the Typhoon photos Mother Highess!
Looks like Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is mentioning another country and NOT THE PHILIPPINES!!!
Isn’t it, ironic. Don’t you think?
typical sa mga trapos, they’re all nothing but empty words puro lang sya mga rhetorics! they only serve themselves
Talk is cheap.
Unless leaders present a clear moral stand against corruption, against immorality, and display a sense compassion, private or public, walang mangyayari sa mga speech speech na yan. WE should find leaders that will show a stark contrast in the present condition.
But then again, my talk is cheap.
Find ways to be leaders in our communities. Set goals to be corporate leaders, community influencers gaya ni Efren Peñaflorido, church workers.
Be a voice. Be a leader. You can make a difference.
Cute ng bata!
and a leader that has no follower is just taking a leisurely walk sa park
Asa! I wouldn’t wish these things to happen to anyone maliban kay Gloria lang.
maninigarilyo lang ako when that happens…
Check this out. http://bit.ly/2RXNQf This is a news clip dated Janaury 19, 2005.
You’ll be surprised that from then till Ondoy’s visit, PGMA had the so-called preparedness plan very well laid out. But, like her SONA, it was all saliva, words and nothing else.
And come to think of it, almost 4 years na sinabi na ibingay ang go signal for immediate adoption and execution, pero parang kahit isa sa mga plans wala ginawa.
This 4-point National Action Plan in disaster preparedness plan approved by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo dated January 19, 2005 was chaired by the Department of National Defense. Tagal na nito ha! At base dun sa link…
The 4-Point Action Plan consists of what Cruz (the Defense Secretary that time) said are realistic and achievable components:
1. upgrading of PAGASA and PHILVOCS’ forecasting capability
2. public information campaign on disaster preparedness
3. capacity-building for local government units particularly in
identified vulnerable areas
4. mechanisms for government and private sector as partner in
relief and rehabilitation
yeap! i read that… thanks for the link. it’s all in the execution na hanggang ngayon napunta na naman ata sa mga kayamanan.
while I’m reading this post, naiiyak ako dito sa office.
It’s so sad that this happened to our country and countrymen. We always HOPE for progress and improvement on our country but none of them provided that to us yet.
What they give in return is…….
NOTHING!
tsk tsk tsk.
i think what they gave us were those nice looking terno sa batasan na nagmistulang oscar awards
The pictures, except for biik’s house, are so touching.
c’est tres vrai anna! the kids… they are always the ones who are directly vulnerable sa mga illusions nang tiga Pasig!
tsk, tsk…
and i don’t think we will ever do that…
naalala ko toh
