Soliloquy of a Trying-Hard Blogger
BLOG is defined as “usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries” . wikipedia
People have different reasons why they blog for the same reason that people have different realities. But I am not interested about other reasons why they BLOG. I will speak for myself and I suppose some if not majority of trying-hard bloggers share the same reasons with me.
I decided to BLOG because …
1. it keeps my sanity as an OFW in a country where meeting someone who speaks your language is like looking for an HONEST politician in Manila. Yup, I am an OFW and I am LEGAL– may KITAS (paki-goggle na lang ang definition) at OWWA member ako.
2. it is a better alternative than to lambast and diss people you work with who have not read any single F. Jose Sionil novel instead they collect Cosmopolitan Magazine. Or claim they know Paulo Coelho’s work that well, when the only Coelho’s book they have read is Alchemist. (Get the drift?)
3. it polishes my writing skills. It made me understand the difference of its/it’s, their/there, his/he’s and use these accordingly in my writings.
( I don’t have the twang or accent when I speak the Queen’s language. I refuse to fake it!)
4. it gives me GOOD reason to still subscribe and pay for my internet connection even it costs me arm and leg.
5. it feels good to belong to a community (B7) of writers where they don’t compete and kill each other but agree to disagree to a lot of issues. Nagkakatampuhan pero hindi NAGBABALAHURAAN.
6. I want my photo to be posted in the site! What surprises me, kahit sa ibang site may photo ako. Di naman nila ako contributor
7. I thought bloggers belong to the elite “inteligensia” of the schooled (gusto ko kasi ma-belong) — that articles they write are well thought and if there is a need to lambast the subject it will be done in GOOD (read: well researched) taste . I was wrong! Marami rin palang ampaw ang laman ng kanilang mga bao.
I understand the need to create traffic in our own blog sites. But to write articles with no basis such as accusing another blogger as illegal immigrant, a pig, a monkey, a bitch, a Bombay or worse murder another blogger is not funny and neither amusing. It borders between libel and slander. And these are the bloggers who we thought were good bloggers when they started, even won our sympathy when they cried to the world how his lover stole $70,000 from him, and now we know he is worse than his former boyfriend.
Or they go pretend that they are the elite, yet they have the crabbiest mentality pala. Gain sympathy because they have HIV, AIDS and drug addicts, yet they are the worst bloggers creating hatred on Pinoy blogosphere — — how pathetic can these bloggers get?

Nakakwindang kasi, I know a lot of UGLY things have been happening lately. Deadma lang ako kasi na-aamuse din ako. Kaso some bloggers are worse than the POLITICIANS campaigning, umaalingasaw sa baho ang mga articles, not because these are badly written(literally) but the INTENTIONS behind.
Ang mga politicans may malaking dahilan bakit sila nagBABALAHURAAN—may silayang nag-aantay sa kanila sa MALAKANYANG. Tayong mga BLOOGERS? Is it worth it?
Hindi ko rin malaman kung bakit kailangan mang-away sila eh…Well,not unless may monetary involve?
Motivating factor yata sa kanila yun! ~LOL~ But hey, not here!

Mel, tumpak ka dyan, pero to UNDERSTAND them…PULEEEZZZZZZZZ. Isa yan sa mga virtues which I don’t have. Bat kaya di nila subukang lumabas , maglakad, lumanghap ng hangin (kahit polluted) at iwan ang mga Monitor nila. Baka makatulong itong maliwanagan ang kanilang mga isipan. Daig pa nila si Carlo J Caparas mag-ibento ng kwento –Pang-komiks!… at least si Caparas nagawadan(?) (na-ward ba sa kanya?) ng award kahit SCAM ito….hayssssssssss

But I have to disagree sa galing nila sa paggawa ng kuwento kasi palpak ang storyline. For sure hindi papasa kahit sa first reading. Hahaha

Galing maimbento ng mga yan, tutoo. And for what ends? Personal lang? Pera-pera? Puh-leeze.
Wala man lang silang Greater Good na naiisip — unless its getting their next hit. Yes, mga fifol, ang mga bloggers na iyon ay known druggies. Please note yung viciousness ng kanilang wika. Bakit sila galit na galit? Because repeated use of the drug methamphetamine results in the destruction of the part of the brain that controls the emotions. In particular it emphasizes the anger trigger in the brain. Thus, known methamphetamine users easily lose their ability to control their temper.
Paki note rin flis, that these people get unreasonably angry over things like Alexa ratings and featured personalities in other people’s blogs! Avah, care nila what other people say, divah? But it is important to them that if they hate, EVERYONE should hate the people they hate. To the point that they will lie, scream, bitch, libel and risk their own reputations for what? The opportunity to slander someone and hope that the world joins them in their CRIMES?
Hindi na reasonable ang galit ng mga estooofidang vloggers na itech. Ibaon na lang sila sa limot. Di ba Amiel Aguilar Cabanlig?
As usual nilagay ko ang comment ni E sa spam. Like the Brian Gorrell/Shame blog, Dona Victorina has to rely on making Barrio Siete controversial with the hopes of at least gaining some traffic. Readers are not dumb. They can discern. And both of these blogs degerenerated into a hate blog with trash blogging. Just take a look at DV’s readership. Baka si Amiel lang to ang Eric and Paul Farol.
And it’s the same thing with the HIV/AIDS stricken Brian Gorrell or Brian Shane. These two blogs will never be able to shed their thrash blogging concept. It just doesnt seem work. Take a look at this.
Even ERIC who proclaimed to the world not reading Barrio Siete is here all the time, making comments and quite honestly, Eric is Barrio Siete’s rabid reader and follower.

Takot ako sa mga ‘elite bloggers’. I also don’t read them. If I want to be informed, I read the Phil Daily Inquirer (PDI).
believe me lahat ng Filipino newspaper binabasa ko online, pati Pilipino Ngayon…hahahahha yung tabloid. Uminiit lang ang ulo ko ng bongang -bonga ng makita ako ang photo ko na nakahambalang sa isang site…..may nag tip sa akin. other than that “kalma” lang ako. kahit mga articles ko dito puro mga experience ko lang. Anyway, hope you read B7 more!
