Special report on Ecstacy : Alam mo ba ang pakiramdam ng naka-Ecstacy?

1 June 2009 73 Comments

Our Barrio Siete entry for today is a Special Report on Ecstacy and we’re very glad with the research and work that was done by our Councilor Yami who did a lot of research and work on this. With the current sex scandal hugging the headlines where news reports have it that these characters allegedly were high on drugs and/or used some drugs, we wanted to show you and present to you the effects of this one drug that has also been linked to so many celebrities in Manila, the latest before this sex video scandal were the Alabang Boys. This was one great research work done by Yami.

H. BAC (an alias) and his group of multiple-drug user friends would normally start the day with a pill or two of ecstacy (the misspelled popular term for the costly counterpart of shabu) before engaging in intense sexual orgy or group sex. As if that were yet too tame, they would heat several grams of shabu and do the poor man’s cocaine for an added ‘kick’ or a boost.

The euphoria brought by ecstacy drove H. BAC’s group, consisting of four young men and two young women, to perform the orgy almost regularly at H. BAC’s place.

But this was before the native of General Santos City was taken to the Narcotics Group Drug Rehabilitation Center at Camp R. Papa, Bicutan, Taguig, for treatment.

The 19-year-old out-of-school youth related how he enjoyed the ‘high’ that goes with using party drug Ecstacy known by its several street names – X, Rave, Love Drug, Flying Saucer, LBD “Libido”, Jagged Little Pill, Artist Drug, Hug Drug, MDA, MDEA, XTC, E, Eckie, Love Doves.

“Halos araw-araw naming ginagawa ‘yon (sex orgy).

He indulged in group sex usually from four to five hours.

“There was never a time na nawawala ‘yung tama ng ecstacy, kasi bumabatak agad kami few hours after taking our first dose,” he said.

Everytime he used the designer drug ecstacy, he would feel very tired and his heart would beat faster.

Willie’s trip

Willie experienced a different kind of ‘high’ after taking the love drug.

The 42-year-old businessman said he is suffering from asthma so he prefers the kind of ecstacy that would calm him.

“There are more than 30 to 40 kind of ecstacy, there’s cocaine-based, marijuana-based. It can be a stimulant, it can be a depressant or it can make you move for 24 hours. Ito ‘yung sinasabi nilang reggaes or parties. It can make you dance for 24 hours. It happened to me, but I didn’t like that one. I would like the ones that would calm me,” he said.

Willie said the effects of ecstacy pill vary depending on the preferred combinations. “Para kang kumakain sa restaurant, umorder ka ng kare-kare with bagoong, or adobo with manggang hilaw. Ganyan ang ecstacy, halo-halo. Kapag gusto mo ng tamang lasing, or sexy, or tamang madaldal ka lang mayroong katapat na pill ito sa ecstacy,” he said.

Willie’s kind of ecstacy was the “snowball and SX” type that he bought in the United States. I made him feel very sensual. But he said he prefers the “rubbing or touching” kind of “trip” to sexual intercourse.

“By just touching, puwede ka ng mag-orgasm. What I prefer are simple paraphernalia like oil, lotion, mineral water and teether, kasi manggigigil ka eh. Of course. I’ll do it with a partner.

“We can reach our highest point by simply rubbing each other. Grabe ang kuryente,” Willie said as he stroke his right arm with his left hand to demonstrate the act.

After the sexual gratification, Willie would feel very week.

“When I used shabu, I get so very lonely when I reach bottom. Mamamatay ka naman sa ecstacy when you use it everyday because you get so energetic,” he said.

Some of Willie’s friends were as young as 17 and mostly girls. All of them were hooked on ecstacy.

The owner of a chain of restaurants in Metro Manila said that he gets his supply of ecstacy from friends or from bars in Libis, Quezon City.

At the time each pill costs P1,200 to about P1,500.

Leah’s dilemma

Leah (not her real name) was her parent’s pride. She was a good daughter, smart and kind.

At 16, she has the making of a future beauty queen. She is not only tall and beautiful, she’s eloquent, exudes charm and poise.

She was studying in one of the exclusive schools in Metro Manila until she got hooked on ecstacy and sleeping pills for over a year.

According to social worker Lorna Flores, Leah was raised in a peaceful environment. She had a happy childhood. But influence from friends and curiosity led her to experiment with ecstacy.

Leah reportedly got her supply from a source in a posh Village in Libis.

It was during her birthday party when she first tasted the pill. She tried it again once a week and then on a daily basis, consuming two pills every session.

When Leah was high on drugs, she would provoke her loved ones into a fight. The girl even thought of killing them afraid her parents would kill her first. The worried parents decided to send her to Bicutan before it was too late.

Maja’s urge

The petite and pretty lady said she even forced her boyfriend, who was a former co-patient at the Centers for the Ultimate Rehabilitation of Drug Dependents (CUREDD) in Bicutan, Taguig, to take Ecstacy so he would experience the same intense feeling she has during their intimate moments.

Both of them use shabu as an added kick or to boost the high of Ecstacy. To alleviate her thirst for extreme sex, she would use sex gadgets or toys.

Maja only stopped using Ecstacy after two years. She ended up in a hospital because of heart palpitation.

Meanwhile, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) said Ecstacy causes permanent damage to the brain like insanity and death.

A note from La Kapitan:
For more readings: As “shabu” price rises, Ecstasy use up by Ellen Tordesillas:

The price of shabu has doubled to between P8,000 and P10,000 per gram since law enforcers dismantled several “mega-laboratories” in 2006 and 2007. But government successes in curbing shabu production have been offset by another problem: Users are now turning to the amphetamine-type stimulant Ecstasy, which sells for P750 to P800 per tablet, and cocaine, which sells for P2,500 per gram, the kinds of drugs that were seized from “Alabang Boys” Richard Brodett, Jorge Joseph and Joseph Ramirez Tecson by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a drug-bust operation last September.

    Silver,
Mas malala na ngayon ang distribution ng party drug na ito sa mga well to do.

  • reynz says:

lulong na ang society sa droga

Kelan pa kaya sila gagalaw? Wala ba silang natututunan sa nangyayari sa Mexico??? Or wait pa nating maging battleground ecstatika ang manila?

Here’s an article I read dun sa site ni Ellen Tordesillas (the link is on the entry at the very bottom) about what’s going on in Mexico and it says:

Mexican teenagers as young as 15 are killing rivals for a few hundred dollars in a brutal drug war on the U.S. border that is increasingly sucking in young people.

Here’s the link to this story: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/youth/01/18/09/mexico-narco-junior-teenagers-kill-drug-rivals

    • Silver says:

      Mudra,

    • reynz says:

I know, di ba nga, eto pang mga bayaran na we’ve been reading all these bayaran sa Dept of Justice about the Alabang Boys na natabunan na lang uli ang issue na yon sa dami nang problema naten.

Then, we also read so much about the ecstacy dun sa isang bar sa Global City – I forgot the name of the bar! Hahaha! Ano baaa!

  • yami says:

Paano nga po Reynz, including mga known figures and, i think a daughter of a diplomat is hooked on this drug.

    • yami says:

Actually ang nasa forefront noon ang mga nasa police beat, Crame or PNP and DND beats as far as covering the arrest of drug users/distributors.

    • yami says:

Re feature cross over to investigative report. It was a long time ago, kinalawang na ‘yata ako.

May mga certain stories na kaya mo namang panindigan (coming from police sources) for as long as hindi ka iiwan sa ere ng source mo. Mabuti naman wala akong ganung dilemma in the past kasi di me nagtagal sa police beat. Pero exciting sa police beat.

    • lee says:

  • yami says:

Mahihirapan talaga sila to go after this protector or the distributor.

    • reynz says:

Am I right?! wasn’t that embassy name na-cheezemaks with all the eeekstaci??

      • yami says:

    • reynz says:

sa blog ni tita ellen tordesillas, i read a lot about this figures hooked into these drugs, pero wala masyadong “activity” of like arrests or anything.

      here’s one i read before:

In October 2007, Philippine anti-narcotics agents caught up with Cai, then 36 and using the alias Bruce Esteban Ong, in his clandestine shabu laboratory in Sta Cruz, Laguna. They thought they had helped put an end to the activities of one of Asia’s most dangerous men.

To their dismay, however, State Prosecutor Melvin Abad decided three months later not to file a case against Cai and his accomplices in court. Abad said he had found no “probable cause” despite what anti-narcotics agents found in the lab: chemicals and equipment that could produce 200 kilos or about P1 billion worth of high-grade shabu a month.

  • Silver says:

Punta na lang tayo ng antartica. Lalayas na ako ng pinas. lols.

    • reynz says:

And here’s another story, a gruesome story:

Tapacal said the victim, a daughter of a prominent family in Antique was riding on a motorcycle with her boyfriend along the road in barangay Dalila early evening when a group of men hit them with a wooden club. “The boyfriend lost consciousness and the men grabbed the girl and brought her to ‘kampo”, an area adjacent to the police headquarters. The men took turns in raping her.”

      Here’s the link: http://www.ellentordesillas.com/?p=4272

    • lee says:

  • The Cat says:

Paano nga po Reynz, including mga known figures and, i think a daughter of a diplomat is hooked on this drug.

    .

  • The Cat says:

  • Glo says:

eh sa mountain province merong fields may tanim na cannabis. hehehe.

    • reynz says:

nabuhay si manay! welcome back! igno ako sa cannabis hehehe! i guess parehas to sa south america na high altitude and they use this as gamot?

      • Silver says:

        ~konek?~

Pero sa columbia, talamak ang droga talaga.

      • Glo says:

reynz kakarating ko lang this morning. lumipad ako puntang manila nung saturday…balik this morning. yung cannabis eh marijuana. matindi rin syang pain reliever (yung extract nito) kaya merong gustong gamitin yan sa pain management. like sa mga cancer patients. i think hindi lahat ng states dyan sa inyo eh approve na ilegalize ang use of cannabinoids sa pain management.

      • reynz says:

I spent a week of vacation sa Bogota in the 90′s, visit ko ang mahal ko and this was during the time na buhay pa ang lecheng Escobar taz pinagtawanan ako sa opis why i was flying to Bogota hahaha!

alam mo ba? for all those days na nag-stay ako sa Bogota, wala naman akong nakitang bakbakan nun and i had a great time roaming around the countryside wid my labey daveey hehehe *hikbi* asan na kaya sya ngayon?! kung kelan ako nakaharbat nang mr. colombia, tsaka naman *hindi tugma ang panahon* waaa!

  • yami says:

Reynz, sayang naman po ‘yung boylet. Sino kamukha niyang artista. :-)

    • reynz says:

  • Dinah says:

eeeek, tama si bluep, ang hirap mging parent kung ganito ang environment. sus ginoo, get high on something else dapat!

    • yami says:

  • Chi says:

totoo ba tlaga yn bluep? sprite and halls? pd ba khit anong mint cndy? try ko kya! pra 24 hours akong gising! pd mg work till i drop! hahaha!

  • darbs says:

KIDS! JUST SAY… No To Drugs. Period.

    • yami says:

Darbs, I want to stay positive, pero kapag malakas ang influence ng peers at mahina ang bata, baka ma-lure lang sila to try and get hook later on.

      • darbs says:

The keywords – - Peer pressure. Oh boy! then… Amen to that.

It is easier for me to say No To Drugs because the school has a strong drug policy implementation. Beside, as far as I am concerned, we are in a nice neighborhood… but what if we are in a GHETTO.

Ghetto is the terminology we used in New York to describe “Public Housing” where crimes are usually high – - and drugs are available.
        Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghetto

In this case, if i could not change others then, I will concentrate on my kid – - keep the kiddo busy…sports… music… church activities(ehem)… love… lots and lots of love…

Hey, parents! JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS!

      • yami says:

        Bluep,

        Darbs,

“In this case, if i could not change others then, I will concentrate on my kid – – keep the kiddo busy…sports… music… church activities(ehem)… love… lots and lots of love…” — Agree ako dito!

  • The Cat says:

    Mam Cat, pengeng clue, hehe

    pangalan nila may avenue.

  • orphicpixel says:

  • mel beckham says:

Juice ko. Huwag na kayong sumubok. Sabi nga ni Jennifer Hudson, No No No No Way!

    • reynz says:

daz right! AKO na lang ang subukan nyo! Tyak! HIGH agad kayo hehehe! yong iba nga dyan iba-blog lang ako para magka HIGH TRAFFIC hahahaha

      • yami says:

Dumadami na kasi ang nahuhumaling sa’yo. Nabibighani sila sa kariktan mo, Reynz. Tingnan mo si Silver…

“Ako, I admit that I AM AN ADDICT…

        ng Reyna Elena…”

Silver, sinosolo mo naman eh. Nag-usap na tayo ‘di ba. (Joke).

Kapag may EB ang Barrio, sama niyo ako ha? :-)

  • Silver says:

Di kaya magkaroon ng matinding information drive about these drugs?

Ano ang ginagawa ng Dangerous Drugs Board?

    Ano ang ginagawa ng PDEA?

Ano ang ginagawa ng Department of Justice?

    Susginoo.

  • Silver says:

Ako, I admit that I AM AN ADDICT…

Hehe.

    • darbs says:

I agree but can you include, jogging, running, set-up, 200 push ups…in other words exercise and eat healthy food.

      • Silver says:

        Darbs,

  • Reesie says:

good one yami! di ko alam na ganito pala ang ecstasy! thanks sa research mo yami… now i know.

  • Oyibo says:

Ganoon ba kamahal iyon 1,200 to 1,500. Isang tirahan lang iyon that will last for few hours ba?.

Nescafe o blend 45 solve na me.

  • lee says:

I have no idea… and don’t wanna know kung ano ang pakiramdam.

Most likely heaven na naman ang description sa nararamdaman… then i don’t need that feeling anymore. NO TO DRUGS!
