Patindi nang patindi ang political cheezmaks given na dalwang buwan na lang bago mag-santacruzan. According to the cheezmaks grapevine, Noynoy’s strength is his “purity” so that’s where they are trying to hit him.
These CD’s daw are being distributed sa lahat nang local government units in the country, kasali na …

If Noynoy has Kris, I’ve got Pacquiao, Villar says

Nauna nang sinabi ni Kris na once Noynoy wins, mag-a-abroad na lang daw sya at pipiliin nyang maging Overseas Filipino Worker. Bongga ang political campaign ni Noynoy Aquino sa Zamboanga. Pinili daw nila to start in Zamboanga given na merong spiritual konek ang city na to sa family nila and this was where Noynoy Aquino decided to run as President. Dinumog si Kris Aquino sa Zamboanga Airport pa lang while husband James was already in the city bago sa sila dumating kaya …

Dalawang buwan na lang.
May napili ka na bang kandidato? If yes, good for you. Pero sure ka na ba?
If wala pa, pwes piliin mo ang manok ko. Si Atcheng Jamby. Charing! Hahaha! Mag-isip ka friend kung sino ba ang karapat-dapat na maging pangulo natin. Be informed, and most of all, choose Jamby. Hahaha!

From the facebook wall of Sylvia Morningstar, copy-pasted by Robert Young, Jr.
Everyone in the media knows Lito Banayo’s in Erap’s team. And we note that he and his teammate Dacky Paredes have been attacking Villar consistently. Sometimes I wonder just how much patience everyone has for this billiard game – You hit the cue ball: Villar. All the other colored balls that move in chain reaction from the cue ball either fall into a target basket OR go rolling to some other direction. That takes patience and steady nerve. How …

This is a repost (originally posted here). Why? Because there is something magical with this entry and I love it because of it’s swak factor to the current political times. It has what I call the “konek” factor.
I am reposting this entry by Malen, one of our B7 writer, because these are the places in the Philippines forgotten by these politicians. Just in time to ting-a-ling some of these candidates that our barrios truly need some ‘about time’ attention. Who truly cares for our folks in the barrio? Alam nyo …

I don’t know how it feels to be part of a political campaign, let alone do the explaining when surveys goes into a tailspin or squirts back to the top. At least in B7, if our Alexa goes up or down, it is what it is. No spinning needed Matilda. So, it must be crazy over at the Noynoy camp and the Villar camp. In fact, I even noticed that their ads are targeting completely opposite and/or different demographics which I’ll touch on the next entry. But in the art …

I’ve worked in the public housing industry in the United States for many years, overseeing housing investment tax credits and low income housing programs, which is why I would love to see a similar type of program be introduced in the Philippines, if there isn’t any in place. I’ve searched some government websites but I could not seem to find any information about affordable housing programs in the Philippines, I guess affordable housing programs are still called “squatters”. But even that is no longer affordable. You get evicted anytime. Popular …

Filipinos lack common sense.
Yeap. That’s what I read on the Inquirer’s Opinion/Letters to the Editor page.
I thought for a minute that it was written by you-know-who, that is, if you are a regular here in B7 hehehe! React if you may, just don’t smash your keyboard, but hey! There seemed to be some traces of truth in what this guy is saying. Say?!
Now, moi?! I don’t believe Filipinos lack common sense! I think we lack everything! Well… ok.. nufff… forget what I said – you …

Aquino-Villar tied? That’s not my issue.
They’re back! Senators Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III and Manuel Villar Jr. now engaged in a neck and neck race, and were statistically tied two months before the May 10 elections. Check this one out.

Perlas 0.2? De los reyes 0.1? Madrigal 0.1? Gordon 2? Villanueva 3? Teodoro 6? When are they quitting the race and campaign for Noynoy Aquino instead? After all, De los reyes has already conceded to Noynoy, di ba?
Oh?! And who da hell is ACOSTA?!
Source: Villar statistically tied with Noynoy in new …

This is a late entry since I have been getting emails asking what happened to the Inquirer debate. I’ve been waiting for the videos to come online and finally, I saw them on Jamby’s site. This debate happened on February 8, 2010 at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. The debate was hosted by University of the Philippines and The Philippine Daily Inquirer.

You read it right. According to this Indonesian columnist of the Jakarta Globe, “Noynoy Aquino’s integrity and intelligence may well propel the Philippines forward and surprise its neighbors.” Let me share you the rest of the article: Karim Raslan: Noynoy a Thoughtful, Pragmatic Leader.

Having lived through the interminable Bank Century crisis, Indonesians will know that three weeks is a very long time in politics.
The Philippines is little different. Over the past 21 days I’ve watched as Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino …

Permanent resident ako nang Ellenville. I learn a lot in that blog, in fact, basahin nyo lang ang comments, bibirit na rin kayo nang tawa. So, I was there as usual, reading some stuff, when I ran across an entry “Ayun sa mga bituin” written by the Professional Heckler.
This blogger is the king of all kings in Pinoy blogosphere pagdating sa political wit and humor. And I’m telling you, pag hindi ka bumirit nang tawa dito, hindi ka tao. I’m sorry I cannot find the original entry sa site ni …

Remember the Great Presidential fiasco in Florida when Al Gore became the President of the United States? Wait… George Bush became the President of the United States? Wait… when Al Gore – aw shucks! Blame it on the “CHAD” and the birth of the chad-watchers! If America could have one of the most ridiculous fiascos of all, with the looming power crisis on the horizon, who knows what’s going to happen during election, right? Worse, you might even have zero knowledge on how to vote.
There is no practice test in …

Thinking of being a blogger? Touch political topics? Show your political color?
Be warned in the jungle. It’s Jurassic Park in Pinoy blogosphere, with dark characters roaming the grounds run by dark societies. I am by no means discouraging you to be a blogger, but consider my short movie presentation…
Reyna Elena has another stalker fan who follows me around. First, he blogged about my delicious affair with an emperor.

Angry with my presidential choice, he turned me into a pig. A freak one. How did I know? He was very nice to …

I AM SO COMFORTABLE WITH NOYNOY.
I hope you are also with me when I say that the MOST IMPORTANT TASK now is to stop first corruption. This is because our country has gone to an almost irreversible pattern that blatant display of corruption is the rule in all offices and all law enforcers whose service is not public trust but “hulidap.”
After stopping corruption is achieved, that is the time we can talk of production.
Under the present system of justice and check-and-balance apparatuses we …

Hi Toto and Reynz! The error notwithstanding, it’s a great piece, Toto. At least u were honest and rigorous enough to admit your error. I have nothing personal against Gordon but will just say that I agree with most of your contentions. I’ll briefly add a few more:
1.) I did not agree with his stance on the US bases and can only infer that he is pro-VFA and for the RP-US Mutual Defense Treaty. However, I think it’s high time we exerted our independence from the US. …

In my Barrio, hindi lang saklaan meron kami, movie house too. Betamaks nga lang sya. And back during my days in da Barrio, when I was still small, very very small, most of what I see in the movies, after selling one lata of kamote, are that the rich are mostly evil. Mga impakta sila. And typically, the rich are the politicians. In fact, I now remember, in every movie, if there is a Gobernador o kaya Meyor, almost always, he’s a murderer, a manipulative power-hungry animal out to do …

Here’s an interesting piece of story that I read on the Inquirer.
It’s a question as to who is the political butterfly between Mar Roxas and Loren Legarda. How did this verbal butterfly fight came about?
Well, according to the story, Liberal Party director general Chito Gascon called Senator Loren Legarda a “political butterfly” because he said, she jumps from one party to another for political gains.
“Look who’s talking!” according to NPC spokesman Rex Gatchalian who said that it is Mar Roxas who is the “political butterfly”. Is he not a …

Don’t you just love the political carnival at the moment? This must only be happening in the Philippines. I mean, the entire nation is totally into this election, most banats you read or hear are pretty nasty and ugly personal. They’re not just confined to electoral candidates but bloggers too. Yours truly is one of the favorites.
I had this email conversation with another Overseas Filipino from somewhere down under and this is what she has to say:
“People in the Philippines always know which side of their …

Dear everybody,
Note: The author edits his post on Gordon as he acknowledges he committed a mistake of stating as a fact that Gordon was among the winners in the 12-0 victory of Gloria Arroyo senatorial candidates.
And in so editing, he deems it necessary to state here: “I am sorry, Senator Richard Gordon and his fans, for this mistake. Rest assured, I am honest enough to admit errors, unlike those who continued to remain silent after benefiting from the ‘Hello Garci’ rigging of the votes of Maguindanao and …

I have here some questions to ask of your fave pet candidate, assuming he (Gordon) will not copy Noynoy’s pronounced Plans and Programs, if you can provide rational and categorical answers to them, I might change my position:
Sa kanyang pinangangalandakang programa for the “CHANGE IN MEN” “WALANG TAMAD, WALANG TANGA”:
1. Papaano niya babaguhin ang ugali ng mga biktima ng SOCIAL INJUSTICES [Mababang Pasahod, Contractualization of Labor, American Servicemen Abuses (c/o VFA), Proliferation of Illegal Drugs, Inefficient discharge of Justice System, Domestic Physical Abuses, etc.]

Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III will never sell his father’s legacy even for P200 billion.
If he will not sell his father’s legacy, he will not have any urge to steal or earn from commissions.
Of all the candidates, he is the only one who is the most credible in saying he or she will not steal.
Second, he was given a chance to take advantage when his mother Cory was the president but he did not get any position or he did not deal with wheeling and dealing like the …

I was reading this article written by Jose Maria Montelibano of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and I thought I found it very interesting.
According to the article, the TNS survey clearly showed how Noynoy reversed his downward trend and Villar going downward after steadily going up.
When TNS came out with its results, Aquino had arrested his slide and, in fact, gained a few points from 37% to 41%. In contrast, Villar lost 5 points, from 35% to 30%, allowing Noynoy Aquino to lead by 11 points.

In my …
