This is a repost (originally posted here). Why? Because there is something magical with this entry and I love it because of it’s swak factor to the current political times. It has what I call the “konek” factor.
I am reposting this entry by Malen, one of our B7 writer, because these are the places in the Philippines forgotten by these politicians. Just in time to ting-a-ling some of these candidates that our barrios truly need some ‘about time’ attention. Who truly cares for our folks in the barrio? Alam nyo …

Avatar blasted through its opening day with a whopping 232 million dollars worldwide and yes, peeps, it is still making money in theaters. According to movie critics, Avatar (which is directed by James Cameron) delivers on the hype – movie peeps got what they really buzzed about. As far as I know, Avatar could be the future of science fiction films, made in 3D. Sabi nga ni Aling Wikipedia:
The film is being touted as a breakthrough in terms of filmmaking technology, for its development of 3D viewing …

It may not really be au revoir and goodbye because Barrio Siete is merging back to its mother ship – Reyna Elena.
May 17, 2009 when we created Barrio Siete. Interestingly, 7 months later we are now folding up. It was a nice run. A great run. An unbelievable run. In fact, we’re still flying high with our rankings – way better than Google! Nyahaha!
Anyway, here’s our excuse slip.
Maintaining a collective blog is a drag that B7 can’t keep up with, especially with our growing pains. While Barrio Siete enjoyed an …

You know how there are people who just can’t say anything nice? You try to explain your point and they so rudely throw in an incoherent comment that throws people off of the subject you’re talking about? Well, there are a lot of those, too, in social media.
I’m sure you’ve had an experience similar to this: You post a blog entry, people comment, and then somebody just come in, babbling about how you’re wrong and that your blog post sucks ass. It’s inevitable especially if your post don’t confirm with …

When the recession started in the United States, may businesses knew that good days are about to stop for awhile. Many lost their jobs, small businesses closed and corporate gorillas started a series of layoffs which disturbed the flow of credit. It also affected how people spend , even companies who are spending in advertisement.

Yes, I’m back balakubak!
It’s been a while since my last contribution dito sa Barrio Siete. Kinabahan din ako sa latest developments here in Barrio Siete kaya medyo nag-alangan ako sa aking ability to write. But I’m okay now. Hahaha!
I’ve gained enough strength and confidence to share with you again my thoughts and opinion on the …

Pretty much, anybody who goes around the Internet a lot knows how to use a blog. But most of the time, bloggers lose sight on the two most important things in blogging. It may be unintentionally, but losing track of these two essential things lessens one’s effectiveness as a blogger.

Do you agree that Barrio Siete is not a blog? If so, then, what are we?! Me nag-email to me. Said he: Barrio Siete is not a blog. Huh?! So, kung hindi kami blog, di mga kling-on kami? Hahaha!

I was mum. There’s a new war brewing over the horizon. And I, Anakanang Skywalker, was not up for it.
After that inter-galactic war of the not-so-distant past and some short intensity conflicts I eagerly joined for the Barriotic cause, I am not quite sure if the men are ready for yet another battle.
Personal reasons are also prominent more than just the practical. I have friends on both sides. My allegiance goes to the empire, to which I served and fought dutifully, as well as to some newly-acquired friends who calls …

You read it right. What was the teacher’s role, Jena Isle, in the 2009 Emerging Influential Blog Awards by Janette Toral?!
My entry today, focuses on Jena Isle and her role in the 2009 Emerging Influential Blog Awards by Janette Toral. I have reasons to believe that she holds the biggest key to the questionable sprouting of Chem Bloggers blogs in favor of Jedi Bloggers who “won” the awards. Jena Isle claims that she is a teacher and we believe she is. Her blog or most of her other blogs …

Apparently, the Jedi Bloggers decided to get the services of an American blogger as their Spinmaster of the 2009 Emerging Influential Blog Awards by Janette Toral. Here’s a short (real email – not the full contents) conversation:
“As long as nothing in the encouragement of these students to vote for the Jedi Bloggers was against any of the contest rules, then what’s the worry? I’d just ignore it. It’s sad that RE wants to put a taint on the winners.”
“Reynz voted for my blog. I did not reciprocate his gesture. …

And yes, here we go again and this time it’s Janette Toral’s 2009 Emerging Influential Blog Awards… I lost interest in this award eversince some links of sponsors where rammed into our throats supposed to be included in every votes which later was made optional… whatever! And when I say lost interest, I mean lost interest in participating and nominating new bloggers. I never join in awards myself especially if I am the beneficiary of the award, long story… Anyhow bahaw, Last time the Influential Blog …

Janette Toral chatted with me sometime this year. She asked for my support for her Influential Blog Awards. Given that up to this point, I am still hyper-critical of that other market-their-business-best friends/volunteers/kiss-ur-ass-and-will-continue-to-watch-them-2009-awards, I decided to support her. Why? I liked the idea of making known the small and upcoming talented bloggers. That’s the least that we can do with all these meaningless blog awards. In fact, she even told me na pag-uwi ko raw, just let her know and she will let me speak in one of her seminars. …

Nearing our 10-day mourning period in honor of Tita Cory, Barrio Siete Dot Com is very happy to have given full blog coverage to one historic event that just recently transpired, the passing of our one and only Tita Cory. It’s our small contribution in honor of President Cory Aquino and Senator Benigno Aquino. But that very small contribution, surprisingly, has given us, Barrio Siete Dot Com, an unexpectedly back-to-back media coverage beyond our expectations. Trulalang ningning ever and if you think about it, wala pa tayong 3 months …

My Barrio Siete folks! Wake up and smell the coffee! Ang gaganda naten! Hahaha!
I woke up this morning with a really good morning delight. Why?
