We all know that our dear country where our Barrio Siete is, the Philippines is mired into some deep corruption at all levels. We are all so sick of all thieveries that is happening at all levels of management that we tend to forget the little ones.

“Ordinary people do not feel empowered to speak out against corruption … Governments are considered to be ineffective in the fight against corruption—a view that has remained worryingly consistent in most countries over time,”

That’s what it says on Transparency International’s 2009 Global Corruption Barometer Report, released Wednesday. It showed that 77 percent of Filipino respondents thought that the “current government’s actions in the fight against corruption” were “ineffective.” Grabe di ba? Bansagan ka ba namang inutil! I don’t know kung nasasaktan nito ang mga powers that be, but I was!
