Last week, the Arroyo Administration came up with a two-page advertisements in newspapers titled, “Ganito Tayo Noon, Ganito Tayo Ngayon” trumpeting their achievements. Now, I don’t have a copy of the ad because my secretary was busy with her Farmville. I do not want to disturb her, lest I’d be voted out as the cutest boss to work for.
Now, the other day, Noynoy Aquino’s speech at the Makati Business Club’s Event was very well received by the business community. In that speech, he talked about the looming fiscal crisis. He …

Aquino won’t recognize Arroyo chief justice
By Maila Ager, Philip Tubeza
Liberal Party standard-bearer Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III warned Thursday night that, if elected President, he would not recognize any successor to Chief Justice Reynato Puno named by outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
He also warned that any justice of the high court who accepts such an appointment from Arroyo “risks even his presence in the Court as an associate member” under an Aquino presidency.
“If elected President, I will not recognize a Chief Justice appointed by the outgoing President, contrary to …

The first part of this article is here: Big-time gambling patriarch plays high-stakes politics
(The writer is a former journalist, a three-term governor of North Cotabato, and incumbent vice governor of the province)
THE POLITICAL POWER AND influence of Datu Andal Ampatuan Sr. reached great heights in the 2004 presidential election when he engineered a lopsided victory in Maguindanao for President Macapagal-Arroyo against popular actor Fernando Poe Jr.
It was undoubtedly a feat that won for Ms Arroyo the presidency, never mind the charges of massive cheating. The fact …

Complete power vacuum?
The premature lifting of the unlawful martial law in Maguindanao province was further prompted by a call from the Obama administration. But this is not an assurance that the Filipinos have nothing more to fear about a no-election scenario. To the contrary, the desire of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to stay in power at any cost is still a clear-and-present danger.
So what do you think will happen if there would be massive failure of elections in almost all parts of the …

The article that you will be reading appeared on Business World Online, under Yellow Pad — By Filomeno S. Sta. Ana III. I’ve been meaning to write something like this, naunahan nya lang ako pramis hehehe. And he read my mind. At dahil mas magaling syang sumulat, I thought I’d share you na lang what he wrote, especially to my newest wacko best friend Benigno err Benjamin Kritz for deep inside them, they are actually rooting for Noynoy Aquino. But truly, wa biro, he captured pretty much what I have …

I cannot believe what I was reading. Grisly might not be the right word. This is like Godfather VIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII to the 10th power. Here’s the excerpts:
Despite being present at the scene of the crime, the witness vehemently denied firing his gun. He said he hid in one of the vehicles so that Ampatuan Jr. could not see him, but said he witnessed what actually transpired because he took a peek once in a while.
To further bolster his claim that Ampatuan Sr. was the real brains behind the massacre, the witness …

Yesterday at 10:02am on Facebook, a re-post
Julia Carreon-Lagoc, who graduated from U.P. Diliman in ‘59, retired as a newsletter editor of SEAFDEC (Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center). She writes a column for The News Today and Panay News, two local papers in Western Visayas. In her column “Accents,” she writes an open letter to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo that we would do well to heed. It shows the extent of the distrust, disrespect and, indeed, hatred for the Madame, who has brought it all upon herself.

An open Letter to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
Dear Glo:

Ang mga warlords and murderers, rebels daw yun. Nung chinugi ang mga Mangundatu together with mediamen, invasion daw sya. Result? Rebellion. Kaya martial law. Yan ang verdict ni Gloria about the massacre in Maguindanao to warrant martial law. Ulitin naten mga kabarrio: say it with pissed and puking attitude: Rebellion. Tsk! Tsk!

You see mga kabarrio, even when I wrote my Martial Law in Maguindanao entry, I thought there was something in there that’s related to the 2004 and 2007 elections. I mean, com’on! Even a non-lawyer like me could honestly say that Gloria has all what it takes na ikulong lahat nung me kasalanan without declaring …

Many of us were OUTRAGED when we learned na ang drama pala talaga ni Gloria, tatakbo rin pala. And it is already a given that she will win Pampanga pretty easily and her return to Congress will just be that easy.
But really, the goal here is to push for Charter change (Cha-cha)—and possibly bring about a shift to a parliamentary government, where she could bag the post of prime minister.
One blogger has an answer.

If you do not want to see GMA as your next Prime Minister, …

Try and try until you become the Prime Minister. For one thing, hindi quitter ang babaeng to. Super media palabas pa dahil umabot ang drama sa Malacanang to really ask her to run. Siempre sya rin naman ang director nito. Kaya sabi nya kahapon… “After much contemplation I realized I …

How are you my dear uncle? Don’t tell me you are okay because I know you’re not.
It’s been a while since we last saw and spoke to each other noh? Well, you know naman uncle that I’m a little popular than you now and I’ve been very busy with my newfound social life. I think the last time we spoke was a long time ago and you were a congressman pa in Davao and that was in the 90’s. OMG, so that means you’re so old already! Like …

I hate political advertisements. To me it’s just a waste of money that should be spent elsewhere. I would like the candidates to spend their election funds on projects that would be beneficial to people in need.
Officially, I have no candidates yet. I’m still busy looking through candidates with my personal magnifying glass. There are the political ads, with their shots at informing the electorate of their platform, if there ever was one, but mostly their faces and their attempt of projecting themselves as candidates, pathetic as it …

It had been so and so when the tag team of the decade gave us their winning one-two combo. When I first saw the initial mixture of air andwater I thought it was just the usual tropical depression that we  are so familiar with. When it hit landfall I realized it was more than Amihan and Habagat combined.
And then we were literally drowning with fear.
For hours the heavens fell in buckets and gallons as well as liters. I felt the earth fill itself as if all the waters …

Here is a breaking news that raised my eyebrows up to the ninth power!
According to the Inquirer report:
Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo has not declared in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) for the last two years a $1.32-million (P63.7-million) beachfront property in the San Francisco Bay area in California that he bought and then transferred to his wife Angela in 2006.
Mikey is the eldest of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s three children.

Here is the story: ‘The best story we’ve ever covered’. Middle story sya written by Arnold Zeitlin. If you read the story, walang kinalaman ang phrase na yon to the whole story.
I know, if you’re a regular here in B7, you would have known by now na yellow ang dugo ko. Hindi sa pinagtatanggol ko si GMA noh? But the question now becomes: What the hell is going on with the media?!

Mahal ko rin si Cory, kaya kahit humabagat man, mag signal number 11 pa (Cory was the 11th President), buong population na ata nang Pilipinas eh nasa kalye Ortigas, nag-pumilit pa rin akong pumunta.
