The 2009 SONA Fashion Report

28 July 2009 71 Comments

Isang bonggang-bonggang State of the Nation Address ng Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ang napanuod natin kumakailan lamang.

picture3sona

Bare Back ang Filipiniana Terno Gown niya. Wow! Fashionista talaga itong si Senadora Legarda! :D

picture4sona

picture5sona

Slightly bareback din pala ang gown niya. In fairview, pareho silang flawless ni Senadora Legarda! ;)

picture6sona

Heto naman si Senadora Jamby Madrigal in her traditional Maria Clara gown with matching red crucifix necklake plus black and brown beadworks on both hands.

picture7sona

At heto naman si Senadora Miriam Defensor-Santiago kasama sina Senadora Legarda, Senadora Madrigal at Senadora Cayetano. Medyo conservative ang former presidentiable wearing her white beaded gown and gold shoes.

picture8sona

As usual mga ka-barrio, they are all dressed in the ever popular Barong Tagalog!

picture9sona

Bakit kamo? Kasi, she was a show-stopper with her mocking hand painted image of the President!

Cheers,

    • darbs says:

Kung si Manny sana ang nakabahag medyo desenting tingnan compare doon sa isang nakabahag na … well, i already said it before ayaw ko nang ulitin.

  • yami says:

  • Silver says:

    Snow,

    Gandang post nito! hahaha….

  • Mel says:

i love senator pia’s dress by mia urquico. classic but not boring. i like the details at the back. it’s an upgraded version of the terno without the exaggerated butterfly sleeves.

    • Snow says:

      @Silver
      Maraming salamat po! :)

      @Mel B
I do agree, very elegant ang dress niya. I like the silhoutte. Classic. Dignified and very chic.

Oo nga gurl, I’m puzzled with former model Audrey Tan-Zubiri kasi she wasn’t able to pull it off.

  • jeri says:

mmmmm.. Senadora Legarda may asim pa.. he he he

  • darbs says:

I like fashion. backless is cool!

    • Snow says:

@Reesie/Darbs – oo nga backless seems to be super ‘in’ these days! :D

      • darbs says:

        @Snow, in talaga ang backless.

Si senadora pia gandang tingnan ung likod nya. may tanning spa ba dyan?

mukha kasing tan na tan ung back nya or regular ung kulay tan nya.

nag work out din siguro yan ano?

Maganda ding tingnan ang back ni legarda medyo hindi nga lang tan as senadora pia.

  • malensky says:

nakakainggit ang bangs ni pia haha

re loren, it would have been better kung nakapusod yun hair nya

    jamby, matingkad ang highlights

    si mirriam, ninang sa kasal?

    • Snow says:

@malensky – Tingin ko sis Sen. Loren is trying to create a ‘younger solon’ look. :)

As for Jamby, honestly of all the color eh yang parang neon green pa ang na-partner niya sa Ma. Clara.

I guess Madam Miriam did not splurge on clothes this SONA. I have this gown so many times sa kanya…

    • darbs says:

@malensky, yap, i agree parang ninang ng kasal.

  • darbs says:

Mukha atang nag Imeldific effect ang damit nila ah. Not sure pero parang ung may rounded thingy sa may shoulder di ba Imeldific yan? Maybe it is just me. What about ung mga guys? parang simple lang ata ung barong tagalog nila.

please give due credit to your photo sources. Some of these came from me. Under the law, you can be sued. Just saying.

    • Kotsengkuba says:

seph, whoever you are, we believe that we have properly linked back to our sources. please read the whole post and you’ll see that somewhere within the post, we have properly linked back to our source.

    • Snow says:

      @
Seph – Please read the photo credits above. This was taken from Ms. Earthlingorgeous FYI. You can click the link and check them out.

    • bluepanjeet says:

      Dear Seph

Barrio Siete editors ensures that all posts by the contributors and writers must have links pointing to their sources or credits.

In your “photos’ case”, if it is indeed yours, it was linked properly to the sources.

Now in the principle of fair use in the internet, it states that any material can be used by the public — provided of course that it is properly linked and given due credit of the sources without any alteration to it whatsoever.

Now I believe that our writer Ms. Snow has taken the photos on the cited websites above. The said websites has no credit or whatsoever to you. Therefore you are barking on the wrong tree. You should first clarify the matter on the webmasters of the said websites and if they removed your photos we would gladly oblige to follow suit.

There is no way for Ms. Snow or anyone for that matter to know that you are the rightful owner of the photos based on the said sources cited above because there are no names referred to you as the original author of the photos.

We mean no disrespect to your work. in contrary we appreciate what you did for the internet community. But of course given the fact that you posted it somewhere on the internet, many will surely copy paste it.

If you really don’t want your work to be featured or posted don’t post them on the internet. Or if you wanted to be credited, put a small waterwark on your photos that says your name. That is the protocol for most photographers who want their works to be credited.

Internet is a bigger than life community. And with our busy lives behind the blogs there is no way nor time for us to trace the origin of the photos we use except for the sites where we found them posted.

That is why the principle of fair use was established in order to at least give reference or credence to where the materials has been borrowed. If all websites will follow this rule then there will be no problem with copyright violations. Sadly, and in the case of the website which Ms. Snow got the pictures, there was no indictation that it was yours. Prudent enough according to the principle of fair use, she just cited the sources of her photos.

I hope this will clear things up.

Thank you for informing us about it.

      Godbless.

      Respectfully yours

      Bluepanjeet
      Barrio Siete Tanod

  • reyna elena says:

Did SEPH left his website or blog so we can link him up? Tipong hindi. Or was this just a joke?

    • bluepanjeet says:

wala eh. IP lang. di nga nya binigay yung real name nya or even bothered contacting us privately

      • reyna elena says:

then how can we properly identify him/herself if he/she did not leave any information or link back? that’s not right. if we verify the source and we cannot verify him, we cannot link something blank. i don’t have any problem linking and giving credit to him/her. i think someone is just playing on us until they can verify their identity.

    • Kotsengkuba says:

  • seph says:

at least two of the photos here are from GMANews.TV? where’s your link? where’s the link you said???

    • Snow says:

“at least two of the photos here are from GMANews.TV? where’s your link? where’s the link you said???”

  • seph says:

where’s the GMANews.TV links? hay, careful, careful… accountancy kasi. :) just saying, baka di mo alam ang mga copyright laws…

    • iritada says:

      @seph marunong ka magbasa?
tiga gmanews tv ka bat di ka magpakilala?

    • Silver says:

      Seph,

This is simple problem of yours na merong simpleng solusyon.

If you are claiming to be the owner of the pictures, then provide us the link to your Flickr or blog site man lang. After you have provided the proper links, then we will include it in our article.

  • Snow says:

“where’s the GMANews.TV links? hay, careful, careful… accountancy kasi. :) just saying, baka di mo alam ang mga copyright laws…”

i know po. please scroll up para mabasa mo sinabi ni bluep. ok? ;)

so what po kung accountancy grad ako? hindi na po ba puedeng mag-blog ang mga accountant/analyst sa blogosphere?

for the nth time, paki-check po yung source link sa taas. now, if you are not satisfied seph. it’s not my problem anymore. *wink*

    • Mel says:

Ate Snow dedmahin mo na lang. Baka may PMS lang yang fan mo. Sabi nga ni Atcheng Melanie “it’s not our problem anymore, it’s his problem anymore.” Lol

  • reyna elena says:

    Seph,

not a problem, i’ll look for the pictures on GMA News TV and put the link. now, if i could not find it, would you care to send the link since you were the one who pointed it out? if you care to know, the link to the entry was properly done. now, why are you anonymous? what gives?
