Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!
My fellow bloggers, I invite you to Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino! Very simply:
- Create an entry entitled: “Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!“. A link to this original entry will be appreciated, but is not required.
- Post a yellow ribbon in your blog for President Cory Aquino. Whatever form of yellow ribbon that your creative imagination can come up with.
- Invite other bloggers to tie a yellow ribbon for Cory.
President Cory Aquino has done a lot for us Filipinos. She’s suffered more than enough. I might not agree with some of the things that she has done but that is beside the point. My respect is unconditional and I will thank this great woman for the biggest and most valuable gift that she has given us Filipinos – giving back our freedom and liberty. And as a blogger, there is not much that I can do, other than offer prayers for Cory Aquino.
With this, let’s show our love and respect for Cory through our blogs and I invite all the writers of Barrio Siete, readers and commenters to Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!
Thank you!

“Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!“
“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
James 5:15-16 (NIV)
Dear Lord,
You know Mrs. Aquino so much better than I do. You know her sickness and the burden she carries. You also know her heart. Lord, I ask you to be with her now, working in her life. Let your will be done in her life. If there is a sin that needs to be confessed and forgiven, Lord, please help her to see her need and confess. Lord, I pray for her because your Word says I should pray for her healing. I believe you hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of your promise. I have faith in you to heal mrs. Aquino, but I also trust in the plan you have for her life. Lord, I don’t always understand your ways, and why she has to suffer, but I trust you. I ask that you look with mercy and grace towards her. Nourish her spirit and soul in this time of suffering and comfort her with Your presence. Let Mrs. Aquino know You are there with her through this difficulty. And may You be glorified in her life and also in mine.
Amen
Reynz,

Hi Reynz and to all the Barrio Sietezens,
This is an admirable campaign. Just like how Cory made us unite together, this act will evolve into something bigger. A call for a miracle. Setting aside our differences and kneeling down in prayer for our beloved Cory Aquino. This is a small request compared to the freedom and liberty that she has given back to us as a nation.
More power to Barrio Siete!

Update:
Tweets and twibbons for Cory
http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/features/07/30/09/tweets-and-twibbons-cory
Thank you Tita Cory for bringing us back democracy, freedom and liberty. Thank you for showing us what a president must be. You were honest and sincere. You did not enrich yourself while in power and willingly opted for the smooth transition of power at the end of your term.
You were the loving and caring ubiquitous mother and father (rolled into one) to Balsy, Viel, Pinky Noynoy and Kris. Despite the suffering your family endured, I understand that yours was a happy family.
As a person of deep faith, you taught us to cling to our faith in God in the midst of great trials, adversities and even in sickness. And as a Catholic, you inspired me to enrich my devotion to the Blessed Mother through the rosary. Mary is my all in a place where I am alone.
Rest in peace and continue to pray for the nation and people you immensely loved. So long and a fond goodbye; not farewell.
I modified my site as to make it yellow-themed. I love Cory so much because she helped restore democracy in our beloved land.

for the great woman who fought for our liberty and makes me proud being a filipino, thank you very much!!!!
my salute and respect for President Cory Aquino,
i just did. thank you…
Corazon Aquino
Many has been said of this lady, from being the mother of democracy and the lady with the kindest heart. I would like to say that I put my hands-up for Cory Aquino! Looking back at the life she had, from her husband`s incarceration and death, to her hard fought presidency and the cancer which took her from us. It bleeds my heart as well as makes me proud that despite all this hardship that she endured all throughout her life, she never faltered in her trust to God Almighty to Our Mama Mary!
Dakila ka Corazon Aquino!
She’s a great inspiration to all of us Filipinos. I feel proud to have her as one of our former president. Although cuz our generation wasn’t even born yet when she was elected as president, I’m thankful that she did what she had to do to restore and maintain the democracy in our Country. I tied a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino as a sign of respect, recognition and gratitude for what she did.
