Traditional Pasko sa Amerika
After stuffing ourselves with all the Thanksgiving turkey, my family and I decided to burn some calories by going to the Christmas tree farm. This was the first time we cut our own tree and it was so much fun.
As soon as we got home, we all got busy decorating the whole house as we sang Christmas carols. (My kids’ favorite is “Give Love on Christmas Day). And now that we have three trees , two fakes and one real, I decided to name them after the Three Wise Men.
The outdoor decoration is always the most challenging for me because it’s too cold for my tropical physique and I’m deathly afraid of heights. Thank goodness my wife is fearless, so she always ends up putting the lights on our roof. Again, I’m always so grateful for having a MAN in the house.
Finally, we set up the nativity, the true meaning of Christmas, and hang the parol, a must-have for every Filipino. This parol was made by my wife last year all by herself. The only help she got from me was the inspiration….
Maligayang Pasko!

MrNonsense is Jesse. He was born and raised by two solid parents in Tondo, Manila. He came to Iowa when he was 17 and is now raising a family in Washington, where a group of Filipinos adopted them as their own.
Mr. Nonsense can often be seen in the Tacoma-Seattle area carrying a camcorder, accompanied by his two sons and his personal chauffeur, his wife. He uses his Tondo upbringing to nurture his children and to survive in a mental institution, where he currently works. He enjoys basketball, cooking, singing, cartooning, producing short movies, and making his own furniture out of junked wood because he's so cheap. He is a self-proclaimed "Man of the House,"...when his wife is not home.
