Why Barrio Siete deserves your nomination to Janette Toral’s Emerging Influential Bloggers for 2009

A big thank you to all of those who nominated Barrio Siete. They’re on our sidebar. Ako po si La Kapitana and this is a blatant in your face 2009 Election Campaign and I admit, I have no shame and I will do anything for da sake of Barrio Siete hehehe! So, I am openly campaigning for your votes and nomination to Janette Toral’s Emerging Influential Bloggers for 2009. But first, let me tell you what happened to the ones I nominated.

How are Reyna’s candidates to Janet Toral’s Emerging Influential Bloggers for 2009 faring? Like Reyna whose half-n-half, my nominees are also slugging it out of the Tough Ten as half-n-half. Now, put Barrio Siete in there and we are dominating the Emerging Influential Blogger’s list. Now, that’s real and honest doing very, very well mga ka-barrio! And here are Reyna’s half of the Tough Ten, including our blog community, Barrio Siete:

Barrio Siete Dot Com is well on its way to celebrating its 1st month. Yeap, you read it right. This is just our 4th week into open gyration in Pinoy Blogosphere and we are certainly very, very happy with the reception that we are getting from everybody.

In our 4th week, we’ve rattled Alexa rankings from 20 million to 2.2 million as of today. If barrio improvements could have been like that fast as lighting, we could be one sparkling metropolis by now. Just look at it now!

In our 4th week, we’ve landed on Janet Toral’s Emerging Influential Bloggers for 2009 in the 8th position. The 1st week where we started getting nominations. Imagine what we can do. But let’s see!

In our 4th week, we’ve racked up 116 blog entries, 5,212 comments in 27 categories with 28 subscribers. ~kablag~ (hinimatay!) Prsst! *hikbi* venti-otso lang?! Leche oo! Hmpt! Pan-sira sa accomplisments! Hoy! Subscribe kayo! Mga leche kayo! Grrr!

But really, why do we deserve your vote and/or your nomination as an Emerging Influential Blogger for 2009?

  1. We’re different. We put blog interactivity in its proper context. Interactivity. Which you rarely see from a bunch of isnaberang mga blogistang puro feeling. Worse, insultuhin ka pa. And the worse of them all, birahin ka pa while social climbing with them. I have a list of these bloggers from Manila. If I could only post blogger’s warning in google sa mga mothers, I would.

  2. In Barrio Siete, we are real and we talk the talk and not hide from any super convoluted acronyms and names just to lambast anyone at will. We are what we are. From who we are, to what we are, to where we came from, to how we are now. We are imperfectly perfect. Just take the good points hehehe.

  3. Barrio Siete has no offensive social stratifications. No alipin saguguilids. We are all free humanoids dedicated in spreading the joys and love of blogging to keep up with our vision of… World Peace.

  4. Barrio Siete is a very diverse blog, and here we have respect and admiration for one’s opinion and viewpoints no matter how far-reaching the argumentation could become just because one pontio pilato dayong baryo do not agree with us or has an opinion that semplangs to the left or way to the right or even shoots up meaningless up above. We agree and we believe that even as philippine society is diverse, and as true representation of the true Pinoy spirit of pang-uunawa, we in Barrio Siete don’t have to saksak and pana one another like what they do sa kaVilang Varrio.

So go out there, vote and social climb! This is where you start. Make sure you are nominating 10 blogs that are qualified. Make sure that you mention and link the sponsors. Make sure that your nomination goes into the masterlist, otherwise, it won’t count.

But above all, make sure you nominate BARRIO SIETE, or else! Grrr!

    Makulay kasi ang buhay sa Barrio Siete! Bakit kamo?

    1. May mala-santacruzan na mga articles dito na talaga namang kapupulutan ng aral.

    2. Masasaya ang mga writers at ibang klaseng magsulat ng kuro-kuro.

    3. Malupit din ang mga ‘commenters’ dito! Talagang makaka-relate ka sa discussion.

    And lastly…

    4. Napakaganda ng aming La Kapitana dito.

    given na lahat ng sinabi mo kamahalan. nararamdaman na sa PUSO yan ng babasa kaya pihado pasok yan sa Top.

    at kung sino man ang papasok sa Top10 mo na yan e 50% na ang chance. ikaw pa napaka inluential mo! ingat ka lang sa mga manggagamit :)

    sa blog daw nya magiisip ka o mapapaisip ka (mhala sige esep-esep)

    sa blog daw nya nagbibigay ng mahahalagang detalye o may quality (tama ba translation ko wahahaha heeeeeelp)

    sa blog daw nya is relevant (sorwy inglisers ako kaya diko maisalin sa tagalog pero naiintindihan ko po palagi po yan gamit sa court)

      all i can say is never let up campaigning that Barrio Siette would emerge as influential blogger. to this very minute, the town is smoking up the competition and once the dust settled it would be very very disappointing if my nemesis, (i wont name names) is still la creme dela creme of this poop-poo-larity contest.

      To be honest, I have no confidence with this kind of nominations in buladasphere.

        @jimg2940,

        yaan mo na yon, this emerging influential blogger at least is trying to recognize new blogs (hindi new blogger ha?) and it’s social climbing actually if you look at the rules. i may disagree with the word “influential” but i leave it for discussion na lang because there are a lot of factors to be considered para maging influential and di mo makakamit yon by winning this contest ni Janette Toral.

        for me, bottom line of this emerging influential blogger is social climbing and getting to know these blogs and that i am very appreciative ki Janette for spearheading this one.

        now, as to whether or not the winner becomes influential – that’s to the winner and not to Janette or whoever votes.

        so having said that, kahit na i could influence people to vote for barrio is not reason enough to say na barrio siete is influential. it’s really up to all of us here to prove that we maybe could, or we might be one someday depending on how well we perform from here on…

    Naligaw yata ako… Sa kabilang baryo kasi sabay sabay ang mga nagkakasakit. May mga naimpeksyon daw ng baboy? Ang di ko na alam kung sino ang mas madumi ang mga tao ba o mga baboy. Sabi pa naman sa isang tv program na napanood ko e ang baboy daw ang isa sa pinaka malinis na hayop sa balat ng mundo (tama ba kuya Kim?).

    Buti na din at nakarating na ako muli sa baryo at makikipiyesta na ako. Saan ba pipila dito para sa libreng pagkain. Medyo isa yun sa mga habol ko e. LOL
