Why would Noynoy Aquino surrender his right to privacy based on a bogus psycho document?! And…! Since when has it become the burden of the accused to validate the contents of a bogus document?!

I read the article written by Rene Azurin with disgust; I mean gusto and let me share you my thoughts, my dear readers as to how I understood his article. You can read it here: Can the lid be kept on?
I found his article riddled with baseless allegations. The article is based on nothing but suspicion and rumors. It is clear to me that the objective of the article was simply to plant doubt to the voting public 9 days to the Election Day.
What I found ridiculous is his premise. His premise is this: It is not acceptable for Aquino seeking the highest office of the land to invoke the right to privacy. In essence, if you are running for president, you must surrender your privacy.
SURRENDER THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY BASED ON A BOGUS DOCUMENT?!
Given that Rene Azurin is questioning the very essence of the right to privacy, as a journalist writing baseless accusations and rumors, he must also waive his right to his privacy and tell the world his presidential candidate. Shouldn’t we the readers be afforded the right to know who Rene Azurin’s candidate is?
But the biggest stumbling block of Noynoy accusers like Rene Azurin, Carmen Pedrosa and Belinda Cunanan, Guido Delgado, Remulla, Villar and everyone in the Nationalista Party is that:

Let me repeat: A BOGUS DOCUMENT?!
Let’s go back to the article written by Rene Azurin.
Rene made some serious charges against the Noynoy campaign staff and inner circles. According to him, the campaign staff and inner circles knew about the information and are hiding it.
According to him, “a source within the pro-Aquino camp” which literally could be interpreted as just about anybody really, “whispered” that the marching orders in the inner circles were to keep the lid on for just x more days and they would be “home free.”
- That Fr. Bulatao and/or Ateneo’s response are de kahon and/or standard response to save them from embarrassment.
- The Jesuits desire of putting an Atenean as president, proof of which is that Fr. Caluag as actively working for the Aquino candidacy.
What he wants to happen is that:
- Get a handwriting expert to authenticate the signature of Fr. Bulatao
- He hopes that former classmates, teachers and friends of Mr. Aquino would come out of the woodwork.
In the meantime, according to him, he is conducting his own due diligence of some sorts. Well, I hope he gets it right, di ba? Dahil reading his TO DO LIST is like one fantasy story.
- He is on a trail of a source who might be able to confirm Tomcat’s detail-filled account of him. (Who is Tomcat? Read Raissa Robles entry here. ~My italics)
- He is also trying to follow a lead on the “Concerned Citizen” who first leaked the psychiatric evaluation (supposedly) done by Fr. Caluag in 1996. He said that in this report diagnosed Mr. Aquino as “suffering from Major Depressive Disorder” and recommended “continuing regular psychotherapy sessions, including CBT [cognitive behavior therapy, a treatment approach for mental disorders like clinical depression].” (For all we know, he was the Concerned Citizen haha! ~My italics).
- Since Fr. Caluag denied that he could have made the report because he had no psychological training whatsoever, I started checking and found that someone who may be an Ateneo employee or former employee had already posted on the Internet an Ateneo University document that indicates that Fr. Caluag studied psychology as his minor concentration in college. (Note the word “Maybe an Ateneo employee” who could literally be anybody. ~My italics)
- He also said: I also learned from certain Ateneo insiders that it was typical for anyone about to occupy an important position dealing with kids (like high school principal) to undergo some sort of training in psychology. Accordingly, my suspicion would be that Mr. Aquino would have personally sought out his good friend Fr. Caluag if indeed he needed someone to talk to regarding his (Aquino’s) depression over a breakup with a stewardess girl friend in 1996 (when he was already out of school). If that is what happened, the mistake (?) could have been that Fr. Caluag wrote a report on it for the files of the Jesuits (who are historically rumored to love collecting and wielding information about potential power holders). ( Note the phrase “my suspicion would be that Mr. Aquino would have personally”)
Can someone spell BOGUS to these people?!

Maybe the answer lies on who is Rene Azurin’s presidential candidate? Will he waive his own right to privacy and tell us?
What Noynoy Aquino has with him which is very strong is his character and his integrity built solidly from his childhood years by Ninoy and Cory Aquino. A category 5 bogus psycho report will not bring this good man down.
9 days to the Election Day, with the entire kitchen sink and the toilet bowl being thrown at Noynoy Aquino from even these journalists, I tell you this: this is a prelude to a landslide.

I received an email containing that article by a Mrs Pedrosa. Immediately, I felt hot under the collar! I thought how irresponsible, just tantamount to a tabloid bottom feeder. And then, I remembered that there are hired guns who are paid to do exactly that, muddy the already murky political environment, to influence those they can. So, was that so called writer, a journalist lacking in caliber or simply doing a number because she/he has sold out? Oh, i live in California and I know very little about who’s who in the media there. Bottom line, all this mudslinging thrive in the stinky fly infested palengke basura where maggots rule! Inang Bayan says enough already! BOGUS is bogus. No substance, just noise ergo chismis or chitMYTH!! And I cleaned that up.

When i started working, one of the “payo” i got from my mentors is not to reply particularly in writing when you are in the heat of anger. Even barrio people like us are civilized and intellegient. We can see thru the lies and illogical charges. Even Adel Tamano of NP violently objected these ploys.

we all should be very concerned about this issue. it this turns out to be true, the real losers will be the filipinos. prof azurin was my MBA prof in UP Diliman. he’s well-respected and his integrity is up there with the best of them.

pointing out details in the report that may be incorrect does not render the main implication of the report untrue.

it’s very difficult to give credence to noynoy’s espousal of a transparency as a hallmark of lackluster career, when he invokes “right to privacy” at the first allegation.
For the playing field to be fair, let’s all ask the presidential candidates, and all candidates to public office, for that matter, to submit to a panel of at least three psychiatric health experts, and we can come to a decision, based on simple counting of points. The results need to go through the hands of an independent auditing office, much the same way, beauty contest results are determined. Let’s have the requirement universally applied. Obviously, the other presidential candidates would refuse to submit to such a psychiatric evaluation for the reason that their mental condition is “not under suspicion.” Which really brings me to this point. Let’s take it to the ridiculous extreme. If all that’s needed to ask that Noynoy submit to a mental health test or to provide evidence of his mental wholeness beyond the shadow of a doubt, if all that’s needed is for someone to state a baseless “suspicion,” we might as well widen our fact-finding to a bigger field: corruption and fraud, suspicion and accusations of fraud and corruption. Yes, let’s assemble a panel on moral corruptibility. Question: Who will handpick the panelists?
