“Barrio Siete” is an alternative collective blog by a group of bloggers who talk the talk, and walk the walk of its target audience — the socio-economic group who do not use pretentious and intellectual language that can not be grasped by ordinary human beings. Sa blog na ito, gagamitin namin ang mga salitang ginagamit sa araw-araw, sa kalye, sa iskuwela, sa bahay at sa opisina. We always have “Barrio Siete” in our lives, either the typical barrio where we came from, or a phase in our lives where we have to struggle to achieve our goals in life. I, Reyna Elena and the rest of my fellow bloggers came from a Barrio Siete. Because of that, we had to work twice as hard to get to where we are. Barrio Siete, our roots, our pride, our community. Soon, we will shower you with our views and opinions but we hope you find some inspiration in our stories.

mahal na reyna elena, gusto ko sanang sumali sa inyong barrio pero nung makita ko ang credentials mo at ng iyong mga kampon eh nalula ako! isa lang naman kasi akong hamak na bacoleñong batangueñong college drop-out na meron din namang masasabi kahit papano. sana po kung kelangan nyo ng taga-timpla ng kape o taga-bugaw ng langaw pwede na rin. o di kaya pag may ipapatira kayong tao dito sa pilipinas, titirahin ko (ng salita… sabagay mas carry nyo yan kesa sa akin). anyway, i thought the concept of this barrio posse writing together and ganging up on issues dear to the hearts of the worth-dying-for pinoys is absolutely brilliant! nawa’y lalong magningning ang inyong gloria (di yung pandak huh) at lumakas ang inyong barrio para sa ikabubuti ng pilipino. mabuhay!
